This is a true hidden gem!! What an amazing museum! Kept my 3 teenagers thoroughly engaged and interested which is no special feat! What made it even more special are the docents who have a wealth of knowledge and stories to tell from their own experiences. Such a great collection of stuff that showcases what life in America was like during WWII times. If you’re in the are, this is a museum you shouldn’t miss!

Such a cool place for those interested in WW2. Even for those with less interest in the actual conflict, this museum contains lots of information on how life was during that time period outside of battle. It’s a well maintained building with a vast and diverse collection. You could spend an entire day here.

The snoopy experience was amazing, the while the museum was phenomenal, very well displayed, and a lot of very cool overlooked historical stories and items. I highly recommend taking your time to read everything. Some of the real life story's about local heroes who went over seas brought me to tears. What an amazing and moving experience!

Tremendous learning opportunities at this museum. Take a walk through time starting in 1939 and progressing through 1945. There are plenty of exhibits and lots of reading. We brought the grandchildren through and they enjoyed it. However, my wife and I will return to absorb more reading. We are "seniors" so many of the household scenes struck nostalgic chords.

I'm interested in history especially with having relatives who lived through and fought in WW2. Learning that there was an Anne Frank exhibit that is ending shortly, I had to visit! I learned about the Anne Frank exhibit while reading a free Lake's region free 📰 newspaper.
The main building 🏫 is in great shape. There are gardens and WW2 machines outside the building. A memorial with benches and flags is also outside. There are two levels to the building. An elevator 🛗 is available.
There is so much to see 🙈 and read. Not only is there war memorabilia, but, there is memorabilia from the time of WW2 showing life in the US. The internment of Japanese Americans has its own section and the history is posted inside and outside the building.
Tanks, motorcycles 🏍, 🎵 Get your motor running, head out on the highway.. 🎵, oops 😬, sorry!, jeeps and even an airplane are on display. They are going to be removed briefly because they are having a "Festival of Christmas 🎄 Trees" at the beginning of November.
My first encounter with a mannequin caught me off guard. I thought it was a real person when I turned the corner and saw one.
Interactive displays are part of the exhibits. You can listen 👂 too and even see old broadcasts of news, music 🎶 and radio. Old Disney and Warner Bros cartoons were shown. Seeing Donald Duck saying "Heil Hitler" was creepy!
So much history was on display and so much to read, I was there longer than I expected. I learned so much! There was a man at the vehicle display who was very knowledgeable about the vehicles. I believe some of the employees might be volunteers.
The Anne Frank exhibit was moving and informative. A woman brought her kids and I think that was what made the exhibit more interesting. The kids reaction to learning about the Holocaust and the experience of what Anne Frank and her family went through made the tour more emotional.
Gift shop available. There is even a chapel.
I could go on and on! If you are interested in history, I recommend a visit!
This was my first visit to Wolfboro and I really liked visiting! Very scenic with the Fall foliage.

Visited on a Sunday. The staff is very friendly. The gift shop has a lot of fun retro things.

Overall the museum was not what I expected. Instead of being exclusively world war II memorabilia it captures the mood and atmosphere of the United States during the world war II years. So instead of just a bunch of guns and tanks another weapons it is comprised of antiques from the time. They took the time to recreate scenes, like a soda shop, and filled those areas with relics from the time. For anyone interested in world war II or the history of that time period in American life this is an excellent place to visit.

Wow! I was so very impressed! My mother-in-law and I decided to spend a rainy day visiting the museum. The exhibits exceeded our expectations. I was also completely blown away by the staff. They were truly wonderful. I had a great conversation with Bill. He provided excellent book suggestions. Connie was also lovely. She was very kind and knowledgeable. The staff made the visit even more enjoyable.

My wife and I spent several hours this museum. Many artifacts and facts from the WWII period. The exhibits are beautifully displayed, and especially enjoyed the Time Tunnel, which takes you through the years 1939-1945. The volunteers that one encounters all throughout the museum are knowledgeable and friendly.Highly recommend if you are interested in this period in American history.

Two adults spent the day at this museum in late August 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Like others have said, it covers the years 1939 to 1945, concentrating on the home front here in the US. A unique perspective we had not seen in a museum before. There are a lot of exhibits on two floors to look at with some interactive, some reading and others displaying videos on each of the covered years with topics such as Europe, the Pacific, Home Front, Songs, Movies, and Books. There is a room with a few pieces of restored military equipment such as tanks, trucks, etc. There was a special traveling exhibit on Snoopy and the Red Baron from the Charles M. Schulz Museum in California that was quite nicely done. We spent about five hours here but we’re museum nerds and enjoy reading the information in detail about the exhibits. You can spend less time and still have a very enjoyable experience. We really recommend this museum if you are in the Wolfeboro area. Adult ticket prices are $14 and children and seniors receive a discount.

We had driven by many times and decided to visit. The museum is much bigger than it looks from the outside. They have an amazing collection of historical artifacts. It is a must do when you are in the area.

What an incredible place and time capsule of the early 1940s! Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but definitely has a lot to offer! Half the museum shows what life was like at home during the war while the 2nd half is military artifacts and vehicles. They have discounted pricing and $1 off for triple A members. Regular adult price is under $15 and I’ve been other places that charge way more for less. Staff was super welcoming, friendly and informative. What an incredible experience and must visit!

The Wright Museum is such a gem. We went for the 2nd time in 15 years and it was as great as I remembered. It is thoughtfully laid out by years 1939 - 1945, with a section for each year. Then, you enter the gallery of their vehicle collection, which is so impressive. Many of the staff are veterans who are a great resource for questions, and great for a chat. The price of admission is very fair. Can't recommend it enough.

Last year when we drove through we didnt have the time to stop in so this trip we made the time and disnt regret it one bit. There really was something for the whole family. We all loved seeing how things were on the homefront during the war. My kids loved seeing the toys from the time and how childrens lives were affected. I loved seeing the ways the war affected the prices of things and how women contributed. We all loved seeing the vehicles up close and in person. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the gift shop was great.

This is a fantastic place to go visit. It's a great display of history. The fact that the tour guide actually lived through the point in history just put things in to perspective for me. It really was not very long ago and to see how the world had changed ... is crazy.

Great experience, a whole lot of info and artifacts crammed in one location "in a good way" we spent 3 hours here & could have honestly spent another 3 hours Reading and absorbing all the info and knowledge here. Def will be going back next time in town, if your a history buff or love all the war stuff this is a must see, and there where some extremely knowledgeable helpful older veterans they're working or volunteering,

A nice collection of items from both the war fronts and the home front with interesting and informative exhibits. Plan on spending at least 2-3 hours to fully appreciate what is there.
