Hannaford

The Hannaford Super Market in Alton Bay, NH is the market we frequent the most, especially during this pandemic. The aisles seem to be wider than most other supermarket chains and the employees do not continually block the aisles. They practice social distancing and wipe the counters between customers. We’ve felt safe there. The shelves have been mostly stocked and the prices reasonable. Very good selection of meats, fish, vegetables and fruit. The sore and parking lot is well lighted and everything is clean. Generally a good shopping experience.

Good selection. Very convenient for Alton residents! A bit more pricey than some other grocery stores. Rewards program is good if you buy their store brands.

I went there to get something to drink for a trip. The store is neat and clean plus the prices are very good. Hannafords is close enough for our vacation that I can go there every day. My wait in line was short because there was one person in front of me. This place is recommended.

Amazing grocery store, went to one in Auburn Maine, and this one in Alton Nee Hampshire and bothe were fully stocked, clean and organized. Wish we had one in Ct

Well stocked, clean, friendly staff. I was just in recently and noticed all the self check outside now, and only two regular lanes open. When you buy a whole cart of groceries, trying to self checkout is crazy! Takes 3 times the time! No space! I can see how easy it is to steal stuff. I'll see how they are doing mid summer when all the summer folks are here.

I am not a huge fan of the smaller local Hannafords stores as they seem to be poorly stocked. I was presently surprised by Alton. Well stocked and everything you could need. I was there Sunday morning and it was really busy. All check outs were open and even though it was full of shoppers there was only a small wait at the checkout. A+

Great Grocery store, everything we needed.

The deli department here is really good; Boar's Head brand products and good store made items like chicken salad. Good bakery department too. Usually they have what I am looking for or an adequate substitute.

Great staff and wide variety of food items. The deli and bakery are top notch. The rewards program is great too. They all worked tirelessly through the pandemic to serve the public's needs.

Hannaford is pronounced Hanna -fed by my Bostonian in-laws. I told them that it was so nice that Hanna fed everyone, but they didn't understand my pun.

Nice, clean store and friendly employees. I was surprised that many had no masks on, which was kinda of nice since it's so hard to breathe in them anyway. Now, when we get back to TX we will have to wear them. I liked the fact the store was the same distance from our home in Tx to the local grocery store called H.E.B.

I love the mix of organic and natural products commingled in with the other items in the store. Great selection. Friendly staff. Do they have dairy free ice cream options and gluten free bread in frozen section?

I don't know what it is about this place but I prefer to shop here I love the layout I love how it's so clean and everything is easy to find, the produce and the meat is always the freshest in comparison to other stores. The staff is always friendly and helpful, I love how bright and sunny it feels in the store unlike other stores where it feels like you're in and Industrial environment.

The workers are always smiling and will help you in an instant and if they can't they find someone who will :)

Their Meat and Deli counters are fantastic, never too long of a wait and they always have plenty of help at the front end and even offer self checkout. They also have a good selection of beer and wine at this location

Speaking of this particular hannaford's in Alton, New Hampshire, I'm yet to find it crowded at,all at any time anytime I have gone it seems to be steady steady flow the wait time at checkout is using just maybe a customer ahead of you I'm sure they have to peak times and days arqand holidays but generally just during the week or weekends you're in and out I've been to other hannaford's you know and heavier populated areas and your elbow to elbow but not this one and same selection less people less chance of running out of things.

Hannaford brand pint size Strawberry Cheesecake Ice cream beats the pants off Ben & Jerry's version hands down! My absolute FAVORITE new flavor and brand!

One of the best supermarkets I have ever been to. The variety is excellent, the layout is efficient and the prices are just fine. I live in NJ with dozens of markets and this Hannafords in Alton has them all beat.
