Great ice cream, ample outside seating capacity, quick service, generous portions. We stopped by just for ice cream and everyone was satisfied. Cannot comment on food. Ample parking capacity as well. During covid outside seating only. Did not have maple walnut ice cream but learned only after the order was placed/paid for. No biggie.

Never been before. So glad they are open now. The food is very good and their ice cream in awesome. Very attentive staff with both Inside and outside service.

Good, fresh lobster rolls without a ton of mayo. More expensive for the area but you are definitely paying for the quality. Extra star for working hard on making sure everyone is safe and socially distant. Worth a visit!

GREAT Ice Cream. Plenty of flavors to choose from. I came here today with my wife after many years. My parents used to bring us (my sister & I) up to the Lakes Region every year when we were kids. We stayed at places close by and always stopped by here, sometimes within walking distance. It is just as I remembered it. Same nostalgic spinning sign. Keep up the great work!

Hot day, sunny skies, holiday weekend - so it was busy. Still had a helpful and friendly server! Good size scoops and tasty waffle cones. We finished them too fast to get pics!

It just opened for Fri-Sun so far just ice cream. It is my granddaughters fave place to go for ice cream. Mmmm We get the kiddie size but consider it more of a small, great serving. Looking forward to seafood soon.

Came up from Alabama to visit friends while there I got a banana split from Sawyers. WOW it was the best I've ever had! The line of people ordering let's you know it's a great place. I will be back!

3 people very satisfied for $43. We are already planning on going back. Scallops, fried chicken and a Reuben, easily the best we can remember having.

Yummy ice cream and fair pricing for portion size. The kiddie cones are the size of a medium ice cream and the ice cream is homemade! So good!

Awesome spot for homemade ice cream. It’s seasonal, so we eagerly anticipate their opening each spring! Generous sizes and the creamiest, freshest ice cream around. I love their black raspberry truffle, which is raspberry ice cream with amazing dark chocolates with raspberry centers. Mmm!

After a careful full-family evaluation, we've agreed Sawyer's ice cream ranks above all others in the Lakes Region. The owner confided the excellent taste is ensured by his doubling the normal amount of butter-fat and we are all for it! Great flavors and generous helpings keep us coming back year after year - yum!!

A bit slow if there's a line, but the best ice cream in the area so it's worth the wait. Extremely generous portion sizes: a "kiddie" size should be enough for most adults. Lots of flavors and they give samples if you can't decide. All the standards, plus better versions (e.g. mint Oreo; black raspberry truffle). Sugar cones are good enough that paying more for a waffle cone isn't necessary. They have plenty of shaded outdoor seating. I've been going there for years, but I've never had anything but ice cream, so I can't speak to the quality of the food.

The homemade ice cream is the best kept secret in the lakes region!! Always save room after a great lunch for some ice cream. My favorite flavors are black raspberry, coffee, and strawberry. It is so creamy, smooth and true flavor packed into each one. After you have Sawyers homemade ice cream, any store bought icecream will seem so bland. Thank you for keeping a favorite lakes region dairy bar going with such high standards for so many years.

Being somewhat a local (we have a boat right across the street from Sawyers) I was surprised to read the poor reviews from other locals. I grew up at the lake and I have visited Sawyers for over 30 years. The new owner may have had a few learning curves when he took it over, but I can assure you that the restaurant is top notch now. The selection is vast and the food is fresh. The ice cream is delicious and there is so much to choose from. The staff is friendly. They will deliver your food to your table and clean up after you with a smile on their faces. The facilities are very clean and kept up. As far as pricing, you get what you pay for. I have never been disappointed in our meals. If you want cheap, go to McDonalds and get sick. If you want old fashion service, and bang for your buck, then this is the place to go!

Holy buckets. This is the motherload of seafood clam shacks in the area. Fresh, light fry, so you know it's super clean. Run by this amazing old couple, who were totally in the kitchen working the line when we visited. Locals told us to get the scallop roll - they were right. Clam strip dinner was a hit, and kids meals were fresh and happily devoured, which doesn't happen often by my spawn. The line can be long. Prepare to wait, but it's totally worth it. Homemade ice cream at the end was an awesome little bonus.

Good food but the ice cream was excellent! They were out of several flavors. Forced us to try something new. Not disappointed! Be prepared to wait on hot busy days. Staff is great. Very friendly!

The lady at the counter was very warm and accommodating. We came in after the restaurant had just closed and she still helped us get our food. Clam chowder is the best nearby. Lobster roll was good too.
