We had a very delicious dinner here. As the previous reviews stated, the wait staff was amazing. They were not too pushy, and very friendly and very attentive. “Katrina”, our waitress, exemplified that. We’ve been here about 20 times before over the last 12 years and we’ll return again. I was pleasantly surprised to see the seafood linguine was full of fresh seafood- actually more seafood than pasta! The chicken piccata was also very good. And BYOB is always nice.

IL Gabbiano is seriously good Italian. I highly highly recommend coming here for some of the best food in Cranford! We had the broccoli rabe to start and for mains we had the snapper with shrimp on a bed of parmesan risotto. It was to die for. You are allowed to being your own wine to the restaurant which we did. The menu has so many Italian classics to choose from! Get here asap for an incredible meal.

I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Il Gabbiano and was able to snap a few pictures before it filled up with guests! This is a hidden gem, and a real favorite. The staff is super attentive, the food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly! BYOB too! I highly recommend!

We went to dinner there many times and had a great experience, but most recently we went for Mother's Day weekend, which you know is crazy busy. They tended to our table and made sure we had water, bread, salad, etc. On time, and even catered to one of my "change of menu" requests perfectly. I was so satisfied I wanted to cry. They are truly a gem in the area. Btw I was craving vodka sauce and Veal, but it wasn't on the menu so I asked if they could do it and they said 'no problem'

We are new to the area and first try this restaurant on a very crowded night. They were very attentive and everything we tried was delicious. Very nice Italian food and atmosphere. We had the seafood combination dish and chicken franchise. Everything was excellent. We have been back several times since then, and had the same great experience.

Thank you for making our daughter's graduation dinner special! From the food to the staff everything was wonderful! The special dessert at the end was very sweet. We will be back for sure!

We tried this place for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious, service was very good, as servers were very attentive to our needs, we arrived at 5, after making reservations, we ate dinner inside, as they also have outdoor seating, again… food was delicious, everything from salad, to appetizer to dinner was delicious, I would definitely recommend this place, and for my husband and I, I know we will be going back 😬 and I feel in today’s date…prices were very reasonable.

Such a nice place to have a delicious dinner! I got a chicken parmesan with linguini pasta and it was so good! The service was good…our servers were really attentive. They are BYOB, bring your wine 🍷

The food and service were excellent! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the staff added some special touches to make it special. Had the broiled Salmon and shrimp which melted in my mouth. Delicious.

Il Gabbiano has a warm, inviting atmosphere and staff. Every meal served was delicious, including the salmon, pork osso bucco, and chicken vodka parmigiano. We did wait some time for our meals to be served but we didn’t mind and it was well worth the wait anyway. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

Great luncheon for 30 drag racers on Sunday afternoon. The staff went out of their way to accomodate our needs. The food, of course was excellent. We will definitely see you again!!!!

First time here and will definitely be back. Food was very good but our server, Michelle, was the best. I made Michelle aware of my gluten sensitivity and she made sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend Il Gabbiano. Thank you Michelle.

Yum! We came for dinner for the first time and each ordered a pasta dish. Very yummy. I loved the chicken francese. My partner loved the rigatoni alla vodka. We were both very happy with this place. It seems the place is BYOB as well.

This place is so great, they have great food and the service is unbelievable. Family owned and they make you feel like you are part of it. My wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they made sure if it.

My wife and I absolutely love this place, such a wholesome feeling place. The food is beyond good, but what keeps us coming back is the service. Edgar who was not our waiter today but has been in the past. Is so great it feels like an old friend greeting you! 5 stars all the way but please don’t crowd our date night spot!
