Cheney Mt. Trail

Beautiful, the official overlooks aren't that great the view is better if you walk past them. My 4 year old was able to hike it. Easy, enjoyable, and not overly crowded.

Easy trail. Well marked. Views of the Champlain Bridge and the old Mines were amazing to see!!!

Nice short hike with good views of Lake Champlain

A nice quick trail, easily completed in under an hour. Very lovely views at the top. I recommend boots in the fall, even though the trail is well maintained, the leaves are slippery.

Quick hike to the top, a good workout, but family friendly. My 4 year old was able to do it with no problem.

Great view of the Mines

Wonderfull

Nice hike. The first two overlooks leave much to be desired but the view of the old mill is pretty cool. We weren’t sure how long the trail was and almost turned around right before the end. Really glad we didn’t. Was just over a mile to the end and we gained about 450ft in elevation. Overall took about 2 hours but we took our time.

My husband is really into the mining in the area so a view of the #7 Mill was a great treat. The trail description we found was right on. Easy to moderate, and definitely took us two inexperience hikers with a dog 2+ hours round-trip, including all the spur trails and a rest at the top. You have to definitely peek through the trees for the Lake Champlain view. The trail is well marked. Over all an enjoyable hike.

Only one true overlook in warmer months but nice climb up to a great view into the high peaks and over an old mine

A great hike for families with young kids. Short enough for the littles to make it, steep enough for them to feel like rockstars. The view overlooking the old mine at the top was really unique. Trail was very easy to follow (despite a weird start in the middle of a field).

Enjoyed..views are good..and bad. Many trees . But cool. Trees 🌳..their view too. 🙂
