Had a wish list of repairs that I wanted on a 1968 vw bus. Dirk and his dad,along with the expert staff,did what was nessesary and now I have a perfectly running "patina" bus that underneath is strong .Went in as a customer and made some good friends. Highly recommend.

I have a 1974 Vw Karmannghia convertible. Dirk has worked on My Car numerosi times .I would not trust my Classic Car to Anyone Else . He is a perfectionist with the work He performed and the Care that he takes with my Car.Peter B of Middle Island is the Best !

In this day and age it’s extremely hard to come across honest shops that truly have your best interest at heart. The guys over at Pete B Services Inc are phenomenal. Like many auto enthusiasts I am extremely cautious and wary of where I bring my car. The other day I had an unexpected boost leak on my Subaru WRX and as luck would have it I was a short distance from this fantastic shop. From the moment I pulled in I was greeted and treated as if I were family. They quickly and efficiently were able to diagnose my car and had me back on the road in no time. I would definitely recommend this shop for any and all of your automotive needs. Such a hidden gem on Long Island. Thank you a ton to the guys over at Pete B Services!!

Recently Pete B Services did extensive work on my Ford cargo van's steering and suspension. During repairs I was kept informed and shown parts that needed replacing. Dirk and Carl explained work that was being done and answered all my questions.
Completely satisfied and highly recommended !!

I don't know what happened to those other reviewers or if they weren't just a competitor but I can say that I've been staying with a friend in Middle Island for the past 8 months. My friend has been here for years and has always had his cars done at Pete B's and he highly recommended them to me. I've had my car serviced twice and they have been wonderful. It is difficult to find an auto repair place you can trust. It helps that the owner and his wife work there so you know they care about your being happy. They know their stuff and they are honest so although I'm moving to Portland OR in a few weeks and will not be going here again, if you're looking for a great place to take your car, this is the best experience I've had in 7 years of living on Long Island!

Had to get a turbo on my Volkswagen GTI replaced. Very few shops will actually do this work. They did it and did it well. Car is running great now. Would definitely recommend them. Came in at the original quoted price. Which was reasonable compared to other shops I checked.
Also everybody at this shop seems friendly and nice to talk to.
Definitely 5 stars.

In mid 20’ I originally brought my Acura TLX here to get a check engine light looked into. I just purchased the vehicle, and went based on the area Google reviews as I’m not acclimated to any decent mechanics around this area, or more importantly, trust worthy ones.

So, based on my experience and the vibes and knowledge I read off of the owner of this place, I immediately knew I’d be returning here in the future. Didn’t get sketchy vibes or “Mechanic trying to overcharge me” kinda feelings either compared to others in the area.

They didn’t work on the TLX besides determine what was wrong with it - I actually ended up returning the vehicle 3 weeks later after the dealership gave up on attempting to repair it. (Lolol)

Went on to get a Maxima instead, and returned here a few weeks ago for an oil change and some other stuff. Pleased with the pricing and more so with the work. overall I can say with confidence that you can trust these guys and their word, in particular, the well-spoken owner. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent service, Dirk, the owner, really went out of his way to help me. I will continue to go here for any other things I need done. Highly recommend if you are looking for honest, upstanding mechanic.

Dirk and his crew are great. I took my wife's Mercedes here because of a noise I suspected of being a wheel bearing. The car had already been to two MB Dealers, both said they couldn't find anything wrong and the noise was attributed to the tires. Even when I asked them to check the bearing, they said it was fine. Dirk's guys not only agreed with the wheel bearing issue, but found because the issue was left to go so long, the hub was damaged as well. Now the car is back to riding and sounding the way it should. From now on, the car goes to Pete B for everything.

This shop is great! Very professional on the phone and the guys are very personable. I've brought my car here a few times and have always left satisfied. They're trustworthy!
