I can't understand the negative feedback from others, but I find Northport PO staffed by the nicest and helpful window clerks. Sure, every now and then there's a line of 5 or more - just wait. It's something people are capable of doing.
If you people hate this place so much, go to the UPS Store and get charged 5 times as much. (They have lines, too)

i never have an issue when i come here! clerks are professional and nice. As someone who works with the public too, I understand how it is.

Is there any nice letter carrier that works in Northport?

Got my family together to get passports. In at 9:00 am, walk-ins only at Northport Post Office. Says so online and in their phone tree. Arranged my day around it. "Rob" just told me, "Yeah, we only do appointments." Asked why they don't change what it says online, he said, "Uh...that ain't my job."

Just so everyone is aware if u need to ship a package go to the East Northport post office they’re much better switched to them and have never had a problem. The Northport post office is a disaster the post master doesn’t care and the workers are lazy my mailman sometimes doesn’t even deliver my mail and I wait for my checks in mail which I depend on. There terrible

The bald black guy behind the counter was rude for no reason

Most but not All front employees are very rude, bad attitude etc. Never any smiling faces, ever !
I'm sure they get paid well along with benifits. It's just not a welcoming, Friendly place to go. I don't like to complain, but come on, let's at least put on a Fake smile !

I am a professional seller, shipping thousands of packages a month. I have been treated in a terrible way by Stephane and her manager. They were extremely rude and unprofessional, yelling at me because I was shipping a box of 70 pounds that was too heavy for them too carry. And in the past they also several time forced me to come back online because I had more than 10 packages to scan. I had 12, they scanned 10 and made me come back on line before scanning the 2 lasts!!!!! Claiming it was the rule... So unprofessional! I am switching to using almost exclusively UPS and for the packages where I do not have the choice of using USPS I will use an other post office but not this one. I wish I could put 0 star.
