I'm 44 and have been seeing Christine since my late 20s. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, caring and kind. She knows me and my history and is always ready to help if I need her to.

She may not have a full office staff, but I get a reply to my emails within 24 hours and my requests are always fulfilled. I'm thankful for Christine for not only being a wonderful physician, but lovely human being who genuinely cares for my well being.

I will be loyal to her until the end!

Love Geronimo, wish she was better staffed as I believe there is only one receptionist but that doesn’t take away from the care and she puts into her patience. We all deserve some more patience these days

I have Been a patient here for 10 years now. This doctor is so nice, so knowledgeable and professional.. I have never had a problem getting a call back or making an appointment. If I'm seen later than my scheduled appointment its because she takes her time to answer all of her patient's questions and makes sure they understand everything that has been discussed. I know this because that's what she does with me

I've been with Dr. Geronimo for 3 years now and I have to say what a terrific experience it has been. She takes the time to really listen. Her office staff is very friendly and helpful whenever I contact her office. Her appointment times are usually kept very close to scheduled time (not a lot of waiting time) and if there is a wait rarely is it a long time. It is a pleasure and I don't dread going.

Dr. Geronimo is a phenomenal M.D.!!! My Mother had been to every reputable specialist under the sun. Each and every time, She was being told nothing was wrong and that it was in her head! Finally we went to Dr. G with whom really listened to our complaints/ concerns/signs and symptoms to make a long story short she was able to diagnose my mother with a very serious disease after one visit! Thanks to her she got the care she needed in time!

The way Dr. Geronimo treats patients should put other doctor's offices to shame. She's that excellent diagnostician you've seen on some TV show but can never seem to find in real life.

All the local private practice offices seem to be getting glommed into larger medical entities, and it's my perception that the care guidelines that these offices are expected to follow almost ensures that doctors can't spend enough time with their patients to understand the complete picture of each person's medical situation. I was previously going to a doctor who's office is one of many run by the Peconic Bay Medical Center, and I always had the sense that it was an assembly line: Come in; fill out papers; get vitals taken by a nurse so the doctor doesn't waste their time on something someone else can do; see the doctor for no more than 10 minutes; get a prescription or lab order, then out the door. There's no opportunity for a doctor working in a system like that to actually attempt to understand the complete picture of a person's medical history, lifestyle, progression of symptoms, etc.

Dr. Geronimo seems to have made a point of staying a truly private practice so that the strictures imposed by a large medical bureaucracy can be avoided. Is it sometimes hard to get in touch with the office because it's lightly staffed? Sure. Are wait times occasionally long? Maybe. But it's because she believes in providing care the way it *should* be provided, and she's doing it within a health care system and economy that doesn't see the value of spending an hour with a patient if needed. I GLADLY accept these trade offs in favor of the knowledgeable attention of a true professional.

She is an AMAZING doctor and human being. I believe she left another practice because they told her she was “spending too much time with the patients - get them in and out.”

Sticking to her beliefs, she went out on her own. Its just her and 2 women who I believe are also going to to nursing school. It is NOT a big corporation with multiple Drs in and out.

I do not understand the 1 stars. Well maybe I do – in this day of in-and out urgent care and Dr offices that have you in and out, and where you spend 20+ min in the waiting room, and then 15+ min in the exam room, the Dr spends MAYBE 10 min with you AFTER a nurse gets some answers out of you (to speed things along - the Drs who can be bothered!)

You first visit with her will be 1 hour. My 2nd visit was as well. They are not all. She wants to get to know you, work up a history, personal and medical. Bring past blood work with you. You will discuss many things. Then Blood pressure (not soon as you walk in but later, when you are calm), then an EKG.

She is AMAZING.

The 1 stars are from people who want, and are used to the multi-Dr-corporate in-out and places who see you as another piece of meat.

The best, and really only way to communicate with the office is to email the office. The first duty of the day is that the emails are read and answered. Questions, appointments, refills….I never had a problem.

There are only 3 women working there, Dr Geronimo is the only Dr. You will get your full hour, and maybe wait a little (I never had to wait much) but that was because she IS a caring family Dr who takes the time to get to know and be with her patients and they try to schedule accordingly.

Those who don't like that sort of thing, please go! It leaves more time for me and people who LOVE her!

I’m glad she is on the young side as I will likely have her as my personal Dr for the rest of my life. She is an amazing Dr and human being.

I have been going to Dr. Geronimo for several years. How I lasted that long is beyond me.

She is very knowledgeable and super nice. That is the only thing going for that practice.

Trying to get the receptionist or a call back is close to impossible. I've called 5 times and still have not heard a word. Trying to get a prescription refilled is the most frustrating experience. My insurance company faxes them a notice when I'm running low so they can refill without interruption. She throws these notices away... per the Doctor. This is regular maintenance medicine I've been taking for years. Not something new or habit forming.

If you need to see her or need a prescription don't hold your breath. I am treated way more professionally at the walk in clinic. She's a part time doctor with an incompetent staff. Unprofessional is an understatement. I never write reviews especially negative ones but if your looking for a Doctor and staff that care about your well being, look else where.

I agree with the other post. Dr.Geronimo is very kind and knowledgable, but her office needs to run smoother in order to make patient sick happier. I can NEVER get through on the phone, and was told to email for better results. I send emails and never hear back from anyone. It took me multiple attempts to get someone on the phone and when I did the secretary didn’t even acknowledge my multiple emails. I really needed an appt to discuss a medication issue and since I waited so long to speak to someone I couldn’t get in when I needed to and just gave up. I would recommend looking for someone with better staff and more availability!

I read a review by Jo Ann Di Giamo
I completely agree the doctor is very nice and knowledgeable

Most of the staff do not follow through and they were actually annoyed with me
When I wanted something .I was told to find a doctor elsewhere by the receptionist.

I was sad ,because I know the doctor must have told the receptionist to tell me this ,however
If the staff are not up on the latest codes and how to do something through insurance than you don’t have a fighting chance on proper care !

office never answers the phone or emails back. I’ve been trying to see a doctor here since January… its been 4 months with no assistance whatsoever after all the effort I put into finding a doctor that was covered by my plan

I never write reviews but this office is horrible. The doctor is Great!! but the people at the desk never answer the phone or do anything right. Its more of headache going to this office then any other office i ever went too.
