I’ve been using Macintosh electric for over 20 years now. They are a family owned business and are very honest and fair. The work is impeccable, I have never had any issues with them. They are also experts at filing paperwork with the city for any jobs which is a huge plus. All of my friends I referred to them also had good experiences. Nowadays it’s hard to find people that are skilled at their job and honest. Try Macintosh you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent job and an extremely professional, experienced team! They handled several unexpected and challenging issues expertly and in real time on-site. They finished the work on time (during the holiday season), within budget, and offered options and advice from start to finish. My experience working with the Macintosh electric has been excellent. Only because the last electrician I had here , told me not to use the light as a resolution, when the lights would blink in my ceiling fan 😫. When I explained the situation to Mark (electrician) , he knew right away what the problem was. I was impressed with his knowledge and skill. I can't imagine using any other company. I found Mark knowledgeable and felt comfortable explaining the other issues I was experiencing around the house. The service was affordable. 😊😎

We had an emergency situation on a Sunday morning. They responded immediately and followed up on the progress even though the job was a ConEd issue. Hard to find that level of customer service. Will definitely continue to use

I was very satisfied with the explanation I received from management about the services I needed, the time frame, projected scope of work, and associated costs. This speaks volumes about the management's transparency and ethical business approach. I was kept informed throughout the diagnostic process, possible outcomes, and next steps. I am definitely contracting Macintosh Electric for another residential electrical project that is underway. The quality of services and overall customer experience they provide is unmatched.

Called Macintosh when water started seeping into my breaker box. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my schedule. The work needed was completed in a timely fashion, and a fair price. I would definitely recommend them with any of your electrical needs.

I have used their services several times, a few small jobs and two bigger jobs that took several days to finish. They showed up on time ready to work, completed the tasks efficiently and cleaned up before they left for the day.

We hired Macintosh Electric to upgrade the electrical service to our home. They gave us a quote the same week, and had the permit pulled and were able to perform the work a few weeks later based on our availability. We enjoyed the overall experience/cost, so we then hired them again the next year to install two electric vehicle chargers outside our home. Again, the service/cost/timeliness were all excellent. We have a renovation project that we will be working on in the near future, and plan to hire them again.

Update 11/2023:

Hired MacIntosh again to rewire several outlets and fix several code issues left from the previous owner. They gave us a quote and started the work quickly. We were very happy with the service and will call again for any electrical needs.

Great experience with this company. A little pricey, but you’re paying for high quality electrical work. I pointed out a number of things that needed work on-the-spot when the worker arrived, and they were able to get it done, easily with very little damage to the walls, and in a relatively quick amount of time. Mark and his assistant were great, and obviously very skilled and knowledgeable. Any time I need electrical work, I’ll be coming back to Macintosh.

I'm very happy with the work the electricians from Macintosh Electric (Yonkers) did at my home. They investigated and detected the electrical problems and fixed them. They went above and beyond expectations to make sure my home was safe. The Macintosh team was very professional, sending me an estimate, waiting for my approval, and then at the end of service, calling me (with the electrician also present) to confirm the hours worked and to ask if I was satisfied with the work. Scheduling was handled professionally - when they set the timing of arrival, they were here. It was very important to me that the electricians wear a face mask for the entire time they were in my home. They wore the face masks and never complained (and it was August!).

I work for a real estate assessment company and we needed an electrical inspection and Macintosh did a wonderful job for us. They’re professional, kind, knowledgeable and want to do the best job they can for you. Huge thanks to Mike and Kay, if it wasn’t for them I don’t know how this project would’ve happened for us. We had a bunch of schedule changes and as inconvenient it was they were never rude about it. They worked with me and made it happen. They will make it happen and get it done. 100% recommend.

My basement, which is below ground level flooded to the ceiling. D.E.P. and Con Edison did an emergency shut down of my electric service. In order to restore, NYC code required rewiring and new fuse boxes. Macintosh Electric was the company I called and I was lucky to have found them. It was a complicated and time comsuming couple weeks of rewiring, not to mention the stress of living without electric. Macintosh Electric was there early morning and all day everyday until the job was completed. The office, personnel were always quick to respond and empathetic. This was an insurance covered job,which the owner of Macintosh handled with my insurance agent as well as the NYC BUILDING DEPT., to my relief since I have very little knowledge of how to explain the magnitude of the job.

My living room outlet was sparking and progressively getting worse. I called several companies but Macintosh answered the phone. I told them when I got off work and I was willing to pay the after hours price for the fix. He arrived and recognized the problem, explained it to me clearly and told me how he was going to fix it. It was done within 30 mins. He then gave me 2 options to keep it from ever happening again. I will be hiring them to add 2 outlets in my apartment . I highly recommend this company. It was a real amazing experience to deal with Macintouch!

This is my go-to business for electrical needs. They upgraded our electrical panel. They installed a 220 volt for an air conditioner. The installed an outdoor sensor light. When our dishwasher blew a fuse, they trouble shot the situation, resolved the problem and upgraded our electrical outlets in the kitchen. I trust them with our electrical needs. Our house is over 90 years old, I want someone whose work I feel confident about.

Professionalism, cleanliness, punctuality at its finest. They gave me a timeline and it was on the dot. That’s rare in this line of work. Employees were at my house on time and left on time. Cleaned up after themselves everyday looked like they weren’t even there. They were priced the best out of 4 estimates. Kay and mike are really nice guys. They went the extra mile on certain things.
