Roman's Pizza Super Sub Shoppe

We went to Romans last night for some pizza. We've never been there and knew they had some mixed reviews. This is not a fancy building, I would classify this as a hole in the wall. The pizza was great! We met the new owner and he was very nice, even turned the hockey game on for us. Don't go here expecting anything fancy. This is a laid back place with good pizza. Simple as that.

This is a great little pizza place in Canal. My wife and I are both pizza snobs and we both really enjoyed the NY style which is kind of rare for us. We also saw this great blues rock duo called the Lews Brothers. They sounded great and were at a perfect volume for us to enjoy the music while still having a conversation without having to shout. We took our young kids and they both really enjoyed all of it too. We’ll be back to see them and have more pizza soon. Very friendly service too btw.

Had a really pleasant experience at Roman's. The first time we have visited in maybe 12 or 13 years. Nice updates to the space. Very good pizza - $10 large one topping on Monday night - and ice cold beer. Service was great. Will be back.

The best pizza and subs in canal!!! Great beer selection. Service is awesome. Everyone should eat one of these pizzas at least once in their life. Sometimes on the weekends there is live music and that is always a fun singalong time. I only eat at the best places and this is one of them.

Brought the family in for some pizza and drinks. Actually we're still. There's live music and a nice crowd. It would be nice if they stayed open a little longer, but the food has been great, reasonably priced and timely.

Family owned and man is it good, there are a lot of things on the menu. The service was great. The staff was very friendly. We will be back, wished they DoorDashed.

I love Roman's. It has changed alot over the years. Well not the food. Food is and always has been good. The inside has changed alot do the good. I still love the high counter. Reasonable prices on food items.

Absolutely loved the pizza!! Even the pepperoni has it's own little zing! Perfect little pizza & pub, spot in downtown Canal Winchester! A "must" try! Great pizza & an ice cold beer, what's better!?

Just had dinner at Roman's. The subs and loaded fries were AWESOME! Owner very nice and courteous.

The pizza and subs are excellent but delivery can be a little slow sometimes. The only complaint is the grumpy lady who takes the order. Trying to give a credit card number over the phone is like pulling teeth. Their 1890’s phone connection is terrible and they act like it’s your phone causing the problem. Great food though...

As someone with Celiac, the places I CAN eat safely are few. The places I WANT to eat are even fewer. Roman's is easily both - the only reason. I don't come more often is that they are far from my house (and I can't really fault them for that - lol). The food is great. The service is phenomenal - a little slower on busy nights, but every restaurant is that way. Thanks Roman's!!!!

First time I tried it was today. It did not disappoint!

Tried this pizza place for the first time yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. Reminded me of New York pies. Crust was tasty and crisp at the crust; cheese and sauce were amazing as well.

Great beer tasting event with royal docks. Every beer from them I have liked and I dont normally drink ipa imperial stouts ect. Fun informative time. Wings on thur $.50. Med is a little hot and I normally am a medium person. Got chicken sub put sauce and blue cheese on it wonderful. Calzone buddy had was huge and was tasty.

Some of the BEST PIZZA in Fairfield County Ohio! It is OLD SCHOOL! It reminds me of what the King’s Island pizza in Cincinnati used to be - fantastic!

They also have old school beers like Black Label, Schlitz, Blatz, and Stroh’s- it is a must try - PERIOD.

Best subs around. The bread is amazing and I don’t even really like bread! I grew up in Pickerington and now live in Cleveland this is a must visit if I’m in town.

Went to Romans on a rec for Saturday night Pizza - they had a large group and handled it well pizza great - owner is a gem. Keep it up.
