I’d been struggling with getting an accurate diagnosis on my VW CC and was recommended to Howland. First and foremost, the customer service was outstanding. I last minute had to change my appointment time and they completely understood and still allowed me to bring it later. Not only did they get to the bottom of the numerous problems we were having with my car, they also resolved all of them in a timely manner. I will definitely be a returning customer in the future!

This is the only shop we trust to work on our BMW! As a mechanic myself, I often don't have time (nor the energy) to work on my wife's car. Howland Autohaus has always been reasonably priced, very professional, and most importantly, HONEST. Sarah was really really on her game to help me battle with warranty on my Mercedes. She kept me up to date on everything and was super great to work with. Austin got the job done and didn't beat around the bush on cost and time. Got my car fixed and even packed up my tow hitch for me. Since I first purchased my 2001 VW Golf TDI I have been servicing with Howland Autohaus. They have always been completely transparent and extremely helpful.

Recently I was met with a major problem with my VW Golf. I decided it may be time to upgrade to a newer model. I started my search and came across a used 2019 VW Golf. After I received the dealership inspection sheet I had many questions. My hands were tied as this was my first big purchase.

With more thought I decided to call Howland AutoHaus.
I did not expect nothing less than a great experience. I spoke with Sarah and Eric. They were both very understanding & patient! listing to me ramble about my concern with spending this amount of money on a used car that I knew nothing about.
They let me email them the inspection sheet so they could look over this vehicle and make sure I was making the best decision. We spoke on the phone twice that day for many minutes. With Eric sharing his wisdom I was confident knowing this vehicle was not in my best interest. He pointed out lots of red flags that I had not even considered. I was very satisfied after the phone call ended. I knew exactly what I need to do and had not a single lingering question. Thank you! You've earned my business for life. This is the ONLY shop we will take our vehicles to! They have been able to diagnose issues that a dealership couldn't. They are the friendliest and most professional shop we've ever dealt with and will not throw in random mystery charges.

Brought my VW Jetta to Howland for a service and right from the start they had great attitudes. Very friendly, knowledgeable, prices are very reasonable. Especially for the specialized area that these guys cover. 10/10 would recommend. I'll always bring my car here for these guys to look at.

They were super nice! I was going to pick up my car and I was running a few minutes late for their closing time, and Eric waited for me! He even spent the next 40 minutes answering all my questions. Highly recommend, they were the only ones I could find who would work on my VW Jetta TDI around here. I called like four other places and no one else could do it. Extremely pleased, I think I found my mechanic! Go there now! 😂

This is the third time using their service for my BMW i8. Always very responsive and friendly. Thank goodness I have them as an alternative to the dealer. Prices are reasonable by comparison. Never felt leery of their recommendations, unlike my experience with other shops.

I have to admit, normally I don’t take the time to post any reviews regardless of the service. However in this case I feel compelled to. I had emailed back and forth with Eric regarding an unexpected and annoying problem I had with my 2015 GTI. Not only did he get back to me in a record 3hrs but offered to scan the vehicle to find out more about the issue. I had my wife take the car in as I had to go back to work and his shop took care of everything, car is working as expected and my wife had a great experience. I would 100% recommend this shop and can say that I will be bringing all my vehicles to Eric in the future.

They fixed my Sally, a 2009 Saab 97x. Easy to work with. Professional at all times. The most detailed auto repair invoice I've ever seen and I've been driving for 50 years. And I feel the price I paid was quite reasonable for the work completed. These are my new mechanics.

Brought my 2004 Mercedes’ Benz SLK 320 in. Was having all sorts of problems was stuck in limp mode and also wouldn’t start due to a bunch of electrical problems. Thought it was gonna be a disaster and be a lot more money then what I had. I had Eric working on my car and he did a great job had it running like it was brand new in under a week!! Could of charged me a lot more than they did, really help me out! Highly recommend!!!

Great quality service. They did a great job of explaining what was actually broken with my car and why I needed to replace it. He took the time to make sure I knew what they were going to do before I left. They also gave suggestions of other repairs that would be easier to do while they were already taking certain parts out. The turnaround was quick and was very well done. I ended up needing a new clutch among other things. I have to say, I drove away feeling like I had bought a brand new car. The new clutch is better than when I bought my car. Would highly recommend them!!

Talked to Eric about a transmission challenge in our old MGB that two other mechanics failed to fix. Positively, he educated me on the exact problem, provided me with two alternatives of what could happen during the repair, (one less expensive, one more). Fortunately, - our problem was the less expensive issue. The overdrive in the MGB never worked better! Eric also takes care of our BMW. And - he always provides a great verbal diagnosis with education and fixes the challenge the first time. I live a good hour from this shop, and drive past many other BMW service businesses to work with Eric. It's worth the drive. Also, the office staff is super helpful and prompt. Leave a message if they do not pick up the first time. I always get a call back within 5 minutes. Russ Grose

I've used Howland Autohaus for a couple services on my Audi over the past year and have been very satisfied with the service they provide. I feel like they do good honest work and give my car a full run down each time. I intend to continue to use them for any services I may need in the future.

Part of me is actually sad these guys are rated so high because that means it will be harder to get my car in. In all seriousness, they do amazing work. I bring my GTI in from New Albany to these guys. 100% recommend.

Hey I just want to give you guys a shout out for the fast and flawless work, and the use of the loaner car was a huge help. My 2008 Land Rover drives like a new one again, your price for the work done was spot-on, and I really liked doing business with you and Austin. I'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I've had these guys work on 3 different Audi's and a VW and can't say enough good things about them. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust - especially with more expensive to maintain German cars. I'm much happier driving my Audi's knowing that Howland is available. Their experience with German cars is invaluable in assessing the problem and getting jobs done right the first time.

Eric is a great guy with lots of knowledge around the Cars and Car industry. He is very meticulous and honest upfront with what the issue is with your Car. I certainly will highly recommend him to anyone with Car issues. Speciality would be the German makes, which is rare find, and all other cars as well. Definitely a to go person for car issues and fixes you will not be disappointed. I would go back to him .
