One of the best hobby shops/LGS around. He’s always got niche stuff in stock especially for 40K that you can’t find elsewhere, plus other wargaming kits as well as plenty of 1/35 tanks.

Absolutely wonderful shop. Stopped in on a whim today and am so glad I did. Picked up a few items and had such a pleasant interaction. I will definitely plan on stopping in again next time I’m in the area!

One of my favorite hobby and game shops for over forty years! The owner, Jim, is one of the most ... unique... individuals that I have ever met! Fun, quirky and knowledgeable he is a master painter and overflowing with historic information! Unquestionably Recommended!

This is a great little hobby store with a good selection of products for your miniature or modeling needs. When my family would stop in here, the owner made everyone feel welcomed, and he is especially patient with children. FANTASTIC prices on paints and models! He also carries the harder to find miniature games, such as X-Wing 1.0, along with Halo Ship/Ground Battles.

This is a great store, one of a kind if you ask me! I love the place, Jim is always there if you want to talk or buy. I was looking for Call of Cthulu, and he didn’t have it, told me to come back a week later. I got it cheaper than Amazon! In my opinion it’s the best hobby store on Long Island!

When I lived on LI in my youth, I remember fondly going to this great shop and having the greatest conversations with the gentleman who (owned) worked there.
They had a square display case with miniatures that I would gaze at for what seemed like for ever trying to decide who I wanted to be in that that weeks game, or what monster mini would I pick to torment my players.
A great store with decades of memories built into the foundations. A good place to be.

Jim's shop has been a staple for gamers and model builders since the 1980s. Excellent prices, often discounted from the normal retail price. Jim is a great guy and if he doesn't have it he will get it for you.

Awesome shop, perfect when you're looking for figurines, has a lot of options. The gentlemen running it, is awesome and clearly loves what he does, and is quite knowledgeable about everything inside. Carries a lot of games that would often take hours to find online, also carries DnD and Pathfinder books.

This place was truly amazing! The owner was very nice and I had an awesome time exploring the store. This definitely makes it to my top favorite stores!

Shop owners an awesome guy. The place is small but loaded with games and miniatures at a generous price. I am and will be a returning customer. Anything other then a 5 star would be Heretical.

There's not many of these stores left around the country and more continue to close unfortunately. It's a niche hobby and online stores have really taken over.

It's really nice to go into these places in person though. You see tools, accessories, paints, all in person. You don't really get the same browsing experience online as you do in a store where you look around and just take it in. I was in town visiting family and decided to take a ride up here.

This isn't a particularly large store, but they carry quite a bit. A wide arrangement of paints including Tamiya, Citadel, Model Air, and Testors. A few diorama making materials like from Woodland Scenics. Model kits in various scales and subject from your typical military planes and tanks and a little bit of Gundams. They also carry some Warhammer stuff too. Is it the widest selection of any of the stuff? No, but it's a great cross section of scale/plastic modeling across the board. A lot of Revell and Tamiya kits. I didn't notice if other brands like Meng or Eduard we're represented. The store lacked aftermarket upgrades for kits like photoetch. Truth be told, most stores I've seen don't. They also carried plenty of reference books which are helpful for accurate and historic modeling. The internet can be great at first ding research, but some of those books are tough to beat for the subjects they cover when they've been currated and edited.

From what it sounds like, if they don't carry it, they can order stuff in too.

Also, I thought their prices were really competitive. They carried some of the Fantasy Flight Star Wars minature, like for X-Wing and the new Legion came. The Legion starter set was about $10 cheaper than what I've seen in other stores or online.

I didn't pick the man working the counter's brain about anything, but I got the sense he was knowledgeable. Their Facebook page says they've been around since 1979 - older than me, so they're doing something right.

If you're interested in the hobby, or curious to see more beyond what your local comic book shop might carry beyond the basic Warhammer stuff and Gunpla, stop in and dip your toes into a real scale modeling shop. They had everything to get going including paint brushes, airbrushes and compressors, weathering products, and kits.

The best place to get hobby paint and models in suffolk County hands down! The owner is the nicest and super helpful.

Amazing store and the owner is always helpful. Needed specialty paints for a model railroading project and he had everything I was looking for at very fair prices.

Great place. I miss places like this - hobby stores that carry products that are a deeper dive. Great prices great customer care. I live in Queens but will be sure to try to make it a visit more often!
