Cow Palace Butcher Shop

Met these fellas on Saturday night. Decided it was time to make a brisket. Butcher was cool enough to trim a point cut for me and after a 12 smoke….nailed it. Promised these lads when I was done, I’d share pictures. -Andrew

Great, friendly service, good selection and reasonable prices. Open in Sundays for a few hours - way better than your local supermarket!

They are always very friendly & helpful. I only go to this butcher. Their products are the best tasting & fresh. They always prepare everything exactly as requested & answer any questions I may have and also make great suggestions. Love this place! Highly recommend!

Quality meats, good prices. I'm a huge fan of their Rib Eye steaks & the chicken skewers! They also have great marinated steaks, that add flavor to the meat, not over powering the steaks.

Been here twice. Very nice people. Very fresh meat. I would recommend you give them a try after a long day of work when you forgot to defrost something. That's the best!

Cow palace, went here tonight for the first time, your ready to cook bacon wrapped meatloaf is absolutely delicious. Those twice baked potatoes...omg. last time I had a twice baked potato was almost 20 years ago when my mom would make then for our family of 7. I bought that meatloaf for myself and my two kids but I'm stashing some for myself. Haven't tried the cutlets, meatloaf mix or beef cubes yet but I'm sure they're all going to be delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Went here for the first time. Staff was very nice. Great selection of various meats. Marinated Skirt steak we got was awesome. Macaroni and coleslaw salads tasted great.

Been going here for a few months now. Everything we have tried from here so far has been amazing! Fresh and absolutely delicious! So much better than super market meats! You can tell these folks take pride in what they do. Highly recommended!

Everytime I go in there the staff is so friendly and helpful. Excellent food. Always good chicken not chewy like other places. London Broil is always a big hit. Very tender on the grill. Must try is the cherry teriyaki beef sticks. Put on the grill. They are sticks of heaven. Could eat a million of them and a big hit at a party.

Excellent! The staff is accommodating, pleasant and professional. They are knowledgeable about how to cook something, how much to buy for a certain amount of guests. All in all a pleasurable experience shopping here!

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Waves Restaurant at Danfords in Port Jefferson. My husband had a brown sugar chipotle, dry rubbed rib steak that was out of this world good! The manager came around chatting with guests and we asked him where the restaurant buys their steaks. Without a single hesitation he said, "Cow Palace in Rocky Point."
Two days later we took a trip out there from the St James area, got there late(ish) on a Thursday. We wanted to get some of their prime rib steaks but they were out of them at that time - which oddly enough, wasn't a turn off. It's good to know that their good stock doesn't sit around. The place was busy. We asked them if they could cut some of the prime steaks from the rib roasts they had in the display and the young man helping us went in the back to ask. That was the only dissatisfaction we had with the place - the young man (he was very nice) came back saying that the saw they would use to cut the roasts was already cleaned and closed for the night (it was 4:45 - they close at 6). It was bothersome that we'd driven all that way only to be told well over an hour before the store closed that the instruments used to give the customers what they ask for were 'cleaned and closed' too soon before the actual store itself closed. We could understand if they stopped using those instruments maybe a half an hour before the store actually closed, but not over an hour and fifteen minutes. Still, they had some very nice 'Choice' rib steaks (albeit cut a little to thin for our taste), but we tried them anyway along with a few other things. A day later we'd dry-rubbed the steaks with a chipolte brown sugar and cooked them to the perfect side of rare and were blown away by how good they were. We've also tried their stew meats and poultry and have been exceedingly pleased with all of it. 'Cow Palace' is the hokiest name going, but these folks have a new and stalwart bunch of devotees! In fact, we're wrapping up this review so we can head out there again... today!

Its got a great selection of food, the service is great, and the prices are perfect. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a really good meal for your family.

Maria and Tommy and their crew are the best.
Only Tommy can make airline chicken breasts which my wife and I love. When you buy cutlets , they trim them of fat without charge and then them into 1/8 inch patties which are perfect for parmigina and francesse and marsala.

I've been happy for the 17 years I have lived in Coram, and the great taste of their food at my house propelled Laura and Al to shop in Rocky Point.

Cow Palace in Middle Island is superior to any butcher shop in the area. Their quality and customer service keep me coming back.
