Second time here and had a great time seeing Casket Robbery! Having the bar separate from the concert area is great, keeps the bar from being jammed packed. Staff was great!

I’m a frequent flyer at this venue, performing and attending. The staff are very welcoming as well as the atmosphere there. The food is amazing. It’s a place that I call home. They have been around for over 10 years and are still going strong as one the best venues in Northeastern Ohio. I highly recommend going there for all of your booking and concert needs. Support your local music, local venues, and businesses in general. There are a big reason of why live music is still around!

My husband is a performer, he's in a group they have played here before. The staff is always friendly and Manda the bartender is simply amazing. Not only friendly but remembers what you drink and trued to have conversations and be friends if she isn't slammed at the bar. The Venue has been a great place for us over the past few years!

I absolutely love The Vortex! The staff is great and friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced and made by Manda, the sweetest bartender to exist! They find a variety of performers to play each week, and the atmosphere is great and welcoming. You definitely need to check it out!

Was a lot of fun. The venue was nicely set up, and I fully enjoyed myself.

Great bands for a great cause, Toys for Tots. Echoes of Eden's semi acoustic set was the highlight. The bartender is awesome 😎. The drinks reasonable. They should be packed everytime they have a show.

I have played at the vortex many time and they have always been so welcoming and believed in my music. Their bartend is so kind and professional ! She makes some stellar mixed drinks and even taught me my favorite to this day!

The staff is some of the most amazing people I know. The venue is always top notch, sound is always on point and the mixed drinks never miss! I would rate this venue 100/10 if I could.

I had a great experience here. There was a super cool bartender and cheap drinks with a decent variety. They even had a small menu of bar food. I really like the layout with the bar in a separate room from the stage so you can hear and order more easily. There's a little patio/smoking alley between buildings which is great to get air between shows. I would come back again for sure!

My son was performing here and we brought his younger brother. I was a little nervous about my 13 year old being there but the staff was amazing! The bartender was so sweet and totally put my mind at ease! So my youngest got to have his first live music experience to be his older brother performing!! Doesn't get much cooler than that!

The Vortex is one of my favorite venues to play/see shows at in Akron. The staff are the absolute best and the prices are super reasonable.

I have visited the Vortex on a number of occasions to perform and to observe. Great staff (especially the owner Andrew and the security team ). $2 drink specials all night!!!! Great atmosphere!!!

One of the best concert venues to play or watch bands at, always a great time. Love booking shows here, has an amazing vibe, and have yet to be upset about anything there. The bartender is an amazing person, and the sound guy is cool as hell.
