Jake's On the Lake

Had a great meal here. Friendly staff. My dad is a tough judge he said it was some of the best Clam Chowder he’s ever had. Our fish was delicious and well battered. We tried the perch and the walleye. The mimosa options are delicious.

Cool little place, it's like a house that's converted into a restaurant. We walked in, and the place is lined with wood. It was really cool and had a nice bar to it as well.

We were at our table within 5 minutes of walking into the door and greeted right away by our waitress.

We didn't get any appetizers as it was lunchtime. I ordered the perch sandwich, and they have homemade coleslaw and french fries with it. It was absolutely wonderful the breading was perfect and it was cooked exceptionally well. My daughter got the three shrimp tacos, and it was very good she especially liked the sriracha sauce that came with it. My wife got the chicken wrap in french fries and loved it.

We would for sure be going back to this place it was great. I can't wait to try it again

Great service with a smile and the food was very good. Had the perch fish sandwich, for fresh water fish was tasty the batter was crispy and quite good. The house cut fresh fries are good and the buttermilk ranch also good.

A frequent spot for our Saturday night out.

The place is very popular. Right on Lake Road. Very likely some wait if you have a party of more than 2.

Sitting at the bar is a great alternative if you can. Loads of opportunities to mingle with others if you are so inclined. Personally I love the bar, and I don't drink.

They also have a small outdoor area too.

The food is great. I recommend the Prime Rib, wings, and their fish. You generally can't go too wrong.

The people are friendly and they are never standing still.

Always my go to whether dining in or carrying out. Everything is always fresh and delicious! Food and drink specials, and always decorated for every holiday and season. Highly recommend!!!

We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Not bad on a Friday night. We had the potato skins, walleye dinner special & perch tacos. The serving sizes are pretty generous! Everything was delicious!! Very friendly service. We will be back!

Always delicious food (the prime rib on Saturdays is my absolute favorite), excellent service, the best selection of local craft beers. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. The owners are very kind and always there working. Our favorite restaurant!

We went early with our Grandkids. The server surprised us with fries for them. Such a smart move. Our drinks were great 👍. The food as well. As out of towners we also went early cause it can be tough getting in Jake's and on this trip we wanted to be sure

Had a great experience at Jake's. Ordered the "Captains Platter" to share and they went the extra step and split the entrée into two plates for us. Super friendly, family ran wait staff. The walleye specifically had the perfect amount of breading with excellent flavor. Chili is also excellent and homemade. See you soon!

Small, and cozy. This was just fantastic. Great service, very good food, the fish and hand-cut chips were outstanding. The ribs are very tasty, the clam bake is huge! The onion rings are crisp and delicious.

Stopped in for lunch. I had a platter meal that had Lake Erie Perch and Walleye along side some shrimp, coke slaw, and onion rings. I chose to eat outside on the patio. The food was great. It came in a timely manner. They were busy. This place was highly recommended by locals and I can see why.

Amazing service! Definitely worth going and already planning another dinner there! We were offered a cold beer on the house while waiting for our table and a plate of fries on the house when we were seated. The staff is extremely friendly and our waitress was excellent! My wife had the prime rib and I had a rack of ribs that were fall off the bone and delicious! The caramel apple crisp for desert was amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit

Really quaint little place. We waited about 15 mins for a table on a Friday night at 7. The food was good...dessert was excellent. Servers were very friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It is a smaller place likely better for groups of 2 to 4.

Battered Perch! Was welcomed by the owner on my way to the entryway, greeted immediately once inside even though it was fairly busy, sat at the bar and got serviced quickly. I looked this place up as it’s in the minority of restaurants that serve their Lake Erie perch “battered” not just breaded as is typical at most other joints around. I just might be the first time I have had battered perch and let me tell you, it is now my new go to way to enjoy this Lenten favorite. Try it out for yourself!

Absolutely love this place. Came in recommended from the woman at my hotel. Food and service were exceptional. I say at the bar and had the blackened walleye. First time having walleye and they did amazing. Check this place out!

I had heard from others how wonderful it was. Decided to try it. Loved it!! Will continue to dine there. So glad my friends encouraged us to go. Very satisfied!! 😀

The food was excellent, staff was super nice. We lucked out with seating as our "neighbors" were the daughter/sister of the owners! Large pirtions and really fresh!

Lived in Avon for 9 years and tonight was our first time visiting. Fried Pickles and Cocolate Oreo Cake = HUGE hit!
Quant, laid back, busy, great service & food was out quick.

Took friends fm Mansfield for Dinner and once again the food & drinks were delicious. Ample portions of Fish (perch is excellent), Jake’s special burger (huge), Club sandwich, and Weekend (dinner) Special, was a Hit with each, and expect our Mansfield friends will want to return the next time in town…

First time there and will definitely be back. Food was excellent!
Busy place and no reservations taken, but worth the wait.
Sat at the bar for dinner and everyone was pleasant and friendly.
