Carnitas El Bajio

So so so good. Once you go your hooked! Your mind will remind you that you belly needs this!!! All I have to say!! Seating outside is perfect and welcoming.

I really enjoy this place, the food is the best in town the meats they have are the best tasting they smoke there meat or something cause it's good. The pricing is good it's a lil cheaper then taco trucks, the carnitas they make there are delicious id recommend this place to anybody that enjoys flavor. I've taken my brother in law, my sister, and they are hooked. It's a must try they have an outside eating area

I grew up in Santa Ana, and this is the first place outside of there where I can fully recommend the food. The carnitas here are AWESOME. When you pull up out front (yeah its next to a gas station but...) the bbq is right there!! The al pastor is great too. The tortillas are phenomenal!! It is a little out of the way, but if you get within 10 miles of this place your doing yourself a disservice if you dont stop for some tacos or a burrito. I would give 6 stars if it woulda let me!!

We actually go here to put the gas, but somebody brought us some carnitas from this place, and they were absolutely fabulous. The parking is a little crazy but it's worth it!

If you ever travel on McHenry Ave by the feed store and gas station, there is tucked away in the back of the store there is Carnitas El Bajio. I stopped by to order takeout, which was the Personal Combo of 1/2 pound Carnitas with rice and beans. I am continually impressed by this small restaurant and the excellent roasted meats they have. The Carnitas was tender, flavorful, some fat with crispy meat all goodness to include 4 to 5 corn tortillas, some places only give 1 tortilla. Rice and beans were great, but the Carnitas is King here. So look for the signs posted on both sides of the road, stop in and get a truly great meal, enjoy! As usual this is just my opinion.

That's exactly what i was hoping for. To be able to walk in place a quick order and have my food within 5 minutes. That is not even mentioning how good the food was. Chicharones were a good, perfect amount of meat and crunch great taste. The carnitas tacos were fire! Nicely portioned and tasty, the side of grilled onions and chiles were made it soo good. Would definitely recommend this place going back soon to try rest of menu.

So far everything that I've ordered has been great. & Everything is reasonably priced. They make the best Tri - tip sandwich that I've ever had.

Food is great here, its a hidden gem.

If you are anywhere close to Carnitas El Bajio, STOP and fill your inner Taco Monster.

At first, I thought it was another place that sells tacos and burritos, but MAN was I mistaken. It has chicken, ribs, and tri tip too. The times I've gone there, I've had the chicken plate, and it is as good as the first day I tried it. The other food looks good as well, but I always stay with the chicken.

There is new "best of the best" in Modesto. Full size extreme flavorful everything!!! Top authentic Mexican restaurant in Modesto... period!!! No dish is reduced or compromised do to inflation/food costs.

These are seriously THE BEST carnitas!! I've been going here for years. I've even ordered catering from here for big family get-togethers and my guests always love the food. The owner is a really humble guy who enjoys his craft.

The best carnitas and chicharon in central valley. Parking is very hard and not ideal for a restaurant or takeout because it is next to a gas station. But the rating is strictly for the food.

The carnitas served here are truly delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful. They also make their own chicharrón. My family has tried the tortas and the nachos. Both were very satisfying options. On previous visits the service has sometimes been a bit gruff but on my most recent I was very happy with the service I received.
