Delicious tacos!

Quesabirria tacos are so so good. The consome hits perfectly too. I can see why they make ramen soup base from this stuff! I definitely had no shame slurping the remaining consome down.

The carne asada tacos were awesome as well. The red hot sauce complemented the tacos wonderfully.

Make sure you stop by for some awesome tacos!

P.S. I’ve seen some of the comments on the decor and I personally think it adds to the entire ambiance of this place!

I so happy I found this place! I had the carne asada super burrito 🌯 and it was delicious! The burrito was a bit more expensive than I pay in San Francisco (though every restaurant in PG seems to be more expensive than the Bay Area🤷). The portions were massive, the meat and rice had excellent flavor, the service was fast and friendly. 5 stars! I will absolutely be back.

Finally an authentic place for Mexican food! You must try this place if your are looking for authenticity. Their quesobirria tacos are delicious. Their hot cheetoh Birria Quesadilla is really good. You must also try their strawberry horchata. I can't wait to see what new dishes they add. I would love to see them make a quesobirria pizza with hot cheetos like I've seen other places do.

Birria was good, wallpaper was better. Delighted by the birria ramen, but it needs 1-2 minutes in the microwave before it comes out, the noodles just don’t cook enough.

Real silverware would have been cool. Plastic utensils don’t do their consomé justice.

Great food! They definitely got the flavor and options down with their food as they continue to build out their new restaurant! Been here 3 times now and haven't found anything that I didn't like! The bowls are amazing! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

The Birrieria cheesy taco is delicious! There are also more options on the actual menu than the online menu - including yummy chicken quesadillas.

My wife and I discovered this place in September, 2022, and we found ourselves a gem!
As one should expect from a place with "birria" in the name, the birria is pretty amazing, so it isn't just a gimmick.
The quesa birria tacos are what I expect from a Mexican restaurant, and left me wanting more of them, not just wanting ... delicious!
The quality of the carne asada is what I want, and expect. No giant chunks of fat or gristle, and it's tender enough to keep me coming back.
We have also tried the asada fries, nachos, birria burrito and birria ramen. We've found good consistency and are afraid to try other Mexican restaurants in the are because we just don't want to be let down, so we've kinda made Aquino's our go-to.
I would recommend being careful with using the various apps as we ordered delivery once, and the food was actually ordered a couple of days in advance.
We noticed Aquino's had the food ready on time, but the driver waited, presumably for more orders, and delivered ours last ... some 40 minutes late and cold. To Aquino's credit, the food was still pretty good, but we'll never use that app again, at least to order anything while in Pacific Grove.
Thankfully Aquino's isn't difficult to find and isn't too far from where we stay.

Amazing food and amazing customer service! Quick and easy to request a catering pick up. Did this for my daughters birthday, a very small get together. Ordered soft Birria and carne asada tacos with rice and beans, salsas, etc. Will definitely order again☺

Amazing food. It is still decorated from its previous life as a Chinese restaurant but the food is incredible!

Probably the best Mexican food I have had (and I come from a Mexican family). The quesabirria tacos and consume are amazing, but make sure to order enough for your appetite because they are smaller tacos. Everything is priced great and the food came out fast. If you are in Monterey, you definitely need to try them.

You need to get the Birria here, hence the name. Kept prices low by leaving the awesome Chinese restaurant decor. It’s great Birria, food cart like feel but you can eat indoors. Love it.

Stopped off at Aquino's after hiking and ordered the carne burrito and mango pina agua fresca. The burrito was excellent in all the ways a burrito should be — generous portions, lashings of guacamole and a touch of sour cream. The agua fresca was really refreshing and flavorful. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

I had the birria torta last week. First time having birria and it was SO GOOD!!!

today I had the birria súper burrito and the flavor was so delicious, the meat was so flavorful, I couldn’t stop singing Aquinos praises while eating.

So happy to have Aquinos in the neighborhood, such high quality flavor. My new favorite Mexican food restaurant in the Monterey Bay Area by a long shot!!

Just found this spot...and can you believe it...a freaking birria spot in PG! Not only a birria sport but a really good one! The quesatacos were good, not greasy and full of flavor. Although the Chinese decor threw me off at first...lol...we will definatly be adding this place to the rotation of eateries. The consomme was full of flavor and I can't wait to try it with the Ramen. That birria though I delicious full of flavor and not greasy. Good spot!
