House Rock Kitchen

While in Buena Vista today our family of 7 decided to check this place out for lunch. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. The service was great and the staff was very attentive to our needs. We will take our guests here every chance we get. The food was not fast food junk, but the chef made and very tasty. We loved it!

Great outdoor space. Nice views. They have awesome GF and even DF options. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff were super friendly. My husband really liked the house burger and I loved the chicken pesto sandwich w / gf bun. Fries were very tasty. We also enjoyed the Brussel sprouts salad.

We visit Buena Vista regularly but it was our first time to House Rock Kitchen - we're definitely coming back!

Everything we had was excellent, with large portions and great presentation. I was famished so I got the chips and guac on the side -- it could have been a meal by itself! I had the pulled pork burrito (fantastic -- I especially like how the tortilla was toasted like a panini) and my wife had a salad which was also massive.

I also appreciated the low key atmosphere. I can't wait to come back to have a drink.

Went on vacation and found this gem. GREAT fresh tasting food and great service as well. Would frequent if I lived closer than 24 hours away ;) Will visit again when we are in the area

Super busy and popular place but they've got an efficient system and crank out the platters. Which are ENORMOUS! Be warned :) lots of creative, globally-inspired flavors with tons of vegetarian options. I liked the kombucha on tap too.

Hubby got a brisket sandwich for which he said: "Not the best brisket I've ever had, but overall a great sandwich." The fries and accompanying aioli were yummy too. I got a Moroccan bowl with salmon; everything on that giant plate was delicious and worked well together.

The place has a great vibe with plenty of seating indoors and out.

Sitting outside was just beautiful but it could do with some added shade. The prices were a little high but the portions were huge and delicious! Well worth it. Also, if some one in your party had a peanut or nut allergy in general, this is the place to go! They are really careful with nuts here and I felt very comfortable with my kiddo eating here and all the staff were knowledgeable about it. So that's a HUGE plus for us.

I recently visited House Rock Kitchen and had a delightful experience. I ordered the Southwest Salad with the vegetarian patty, and it was not only well-proportioned but also satisfying and delicious.

This is our standard drop-in when in Buena Vista. The energy of the place you can feel when you walk in. I am not the biggest fan of counter service, but they check in on you during the visit and it works. There is even a small bar area along with the indoor and outdoor seating. It is in the heart of town around some cool places. I have had a lot of stuff during our visits (ALL are solid), but I had the house smoked brisket this last visit. Pic below. VERY tasty and the chipotle aioli it comes with is not only great on the sandwich, but I insisted on getting another side for my fries. Score. It is there, but just underneath the greens. You should do that too. It probably isn't very low fat, but SO good. The staff overall is great, and because it is a group effort, I have no names to give a shout out to. So, a shout out to all of them. Finally, my sadness. We came in when they had run out of cookies. I was very sad, but know that that shows how AWESOME they are (I once had someone driving through the town stop in and buy a cookie to bring back to me). I highly recommend and see you there...errr...when I stop through next time. This place...got to do it...ROCKS.

High quality food ranging from salads to bowls to sandwiches. I got a Southwest Chicken Bowl, and it really tasted like the ingredients were high quality. The service was great and the outdoor seating was amazing. I bet this place gets fun later in the evening with all the seating available.

We met someone who suggested this place and said they had the best salad in CO. I’m so glad we tried it out. This was just what we needed after a long hike yesterday. Everything was so fresh and the atmosphere was nice. My friend and I both got the salad and added goat cheese. She had the pulled pork added and said it was delicious. Wonderful find!

Lovely place (indoor and outdoor) for a great lunch. We ate excellent burgers. Meat is sourced locally, it was really excellent and very well cooked. Fries were crispy and deliciously salted. Great place for eating with family and friends.

House Rock Kitchen was a nice surprise in a small town in Colorado. They have a great outdoor vibe and indoor seating for cooler days. It is setup as a hybrid Grill and Sit down eating where you order upon entering and they bring your food to your table. They had a good selection of vegetarian options that my friend enjoyed and I had their house burger that was delightful with a unique bun shown in the photo. Per their name they often have music on an outdoor stage centered in the outdoor eating area that features a gas fire pit. Check them out!

This place is wonderful. Even with a line the whole process from ordering to getting your meal (and beer) was quick and efficient. Great atmosphere, location and vibe. The Indian bowl was off the charts I added the veggie burger as protein and damn it was the best ever. Already making plans for next time !

The patio was perfect for sunbathing, I went in November and there wasn't any shade out (they might put out shade in the summer not sure). The food was really good! They use high quality ingredients and it was such a welcome break while traveling to have what felt home cooked and healthy! 10/10 recommended.
Side note the indoor seating is very limited and everyone orders at the counter, so if you were looking for a cozy quiet indoor table, I'd come back when you're ready to hang outside

On the less busy side of the strip but totally worth it. Great turkey sandwich and the place smelled amazing from outside. Huge plus is the sweet potato chip option. And great selection. Nice staff and place to eat in BV with food choice options. Paleo, gluten free and vegan. Def recommend.

This is one of the best tasting restaurants in Buena Vista, Colorado. Every visit I make down to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, I am certain to stop for lunch at House Rock Kitchen. The bowls are incredible! Very tasty, unique flavor to the palate, fresh ingredients, delicious meats, and the kombucha on tap is amazing. Their hamburgers are also deliciously made and placed on a fresh homemade bun. Local meat from ranchers in the area, and it is never a disappointment. Mouth watering and savory. Highly recommend for a hearty meal. Keep rockin' it House Rock Kitchen!

Had the BBQ Burger and the create your with green chiles, cheddar and bacon. Fries are really good, I mean really good. Burgers were tasty, a tad over the medium temp we ordered them at though. Honeyed Lemonade is an excellent drink and it's hydrating for the mtns!

Arrived 6pm Friday night and sat down and ordered immediately. When we left around 6:40 there was a line out the door. Walked across the street and got ice cream.

What a nice surprise with multiple vegetarian options!

In the past, we've come to BV for Collegiate Peaks hiking and tolerated the limited veg food choices on those vacations. That has changed now! This is delicious food!!

My husband ordered the southwest bowl (black beans, rice) with veggie burger as the protein on top. I enjoyed a Greek bowl with mixed greens, beets, olives, and quinoa tabbouleh, with veggie patty as the protein. Both were HUGE portions and just so delicious.

We also ordered a child's burger for our fur baby. It's one-half of a regular burger, I think. Dog loved the burger so much, it was a good two days before she looked at her regular food without disgust. Hahaha.

Another time, I ordered the veggie burger as a burger with cheese. This time it was a little dry, but still tasty. The bread used for the burger is also a little drier than most buns. Next time I'll just add a condiment because this is otherwise very tasty and so nutritious.

Stopped in during busy Memorial Day evening. The crowd was crazy, but these folks kept things cranking like a smooth machine. The food was fabulous. Their aioli is incredible. The beer and sandwiches were amazing. We had the Salmon Sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich. Both fantastic.
