A lot of goodies and import stuffs. Very similar to Don Quijote supermarket but a little smaller. A lot of parking space. You don't need a membership account. A lot of Japanese and Korean products. They also have cooked meals ready to go or made to order sushi trays.

My absolute favorite Asian market! The employees are very helpful and they offer a big selection of Japanese items to include food and household items.

Marukai is bit like Don Quijote in a warehouse. The prices are cheaper across the board, due to its location, and vegetables are fresh. The freshly prepared foods look yummy, and they’re reasonably priced. The only thing DonQui has over Marukai is the convenience of 24/7. Note that it’s only a couple miles beyond Costco, so you can easily tie together a Costco/Marukai run.

I wish they still had their ward location, but being one of the last great Japanese markets available, I'll come here at least monthly to restock all of my ingredients and seasonings! They have quality products many directly from Japan, essential for japanese home cooking. They offer rotating regional products from Japan throughout the year. Great place to stock up on all of your favorite Sake and beers. Leading up to the new years rush, it gets pretty crowded so try to visit on off times and avoid the 3-5 days before NYE.

We visit every time we are on Oahu! The lunch specials are amazing, the selection is just like being in Japan, and more! I bought Hina Matsuri gifts for my girls, along with Corned Beef, cooked sweet potatoes and ready made sushi rolls!

Always fun to shop over here. Good amount of parking available even when it's busy. Bentos all look good. Meat section is nice too. They have a wide variety of specialty foods and products from Japan.

We come here several times a month to pick up bentos, fried fish or other Asian items. Marukai also brings in items from specific places in Japan and so there's always something new to check out each month. Besides Japanese products, there's also some local products...especially the fun T-shirts. There's also a nice selection of groceries, meats and frozen food. However, you'll probably be surprised at the amount of snacks! So many to choose from!

Cheaper than most Japanese mart in mainland US cities. So excited to see all those commodities.

One of my must-go places in HNL and convenient location near the airport. There are great variety of Japanese cuisine materials and I cannot make sushi without shopping here. Generally, merchandises are not inexpensive but there are always super sale items which are really good deal!!! Membership fee is $10 a year but receive a newsletter with ads which sometimes includes a lucky coupon from time to time.

We came here to get the beef teriyaki plate lunch. Frikken amazballs! Mac salad cold and fresh.... another food orgasm... 12 dollars for the plate......where else on the island can you get this much food...

Open to the public now!!! Even better!!!!! Now i don't have to have a membership!!!!! So very happy. Now my family can find great gifts for me!!!! I love everything Japanese! After all i am half. I love all the products. My kids love the japanese candy and sodas. I love everything from Japan! Snacks and drinks and lots of other things.

My Go To Asian store. They have a bit of everything here from produce, health products, Asian dishware, clothing, stationery, prepared hot food, bentos, hard to find Japan coffees, good selection of Sakes, seafood, meat, Asian seasonings, snacks, etc. Since the pandemic, no membership is needed to purchase now.

It’s like a Japanese Walmart. One stop shopping. We really like the hot food area. Such a variety to chose from, but the parking is tight and minimal. The membership is $15 and $10 to renew. It’s quite a bargain.

This place is a wonderland of practical cookware, hot and cold food, produce, a wider array of groceries, and Gundam models. It's hard to cover in one post. You have to stop by and wander the aisles. Wear a full, fresh lei like I did and you'll get dozens of warm smiles from patrons and staff alike ❤🌺🌊✌

Love that Hawaii has amazing Japanese and asian shops here. Marukai has been my go-to for Asian snacks, bentos, Sake/Whiskey, freshly made sushi and lunch sets, specialty items from Japan and beauty items.
