BRUG Bakery Kahala

Fantastic Japanese bakery with so many unique options. Some of our favorites were the in Portuguese sausage with egg, chocolate croissant, cheese mochi, Matcha donut, and pizza focaccia! So many options had a hard time choosing, you really can't go wrong with anything! Avg ~$3-4 each

The baked goods are fresh and delicious. I was visiting back home and wanted to visit BRUG bakery. I ended up going twice within a few days. On my first visit, I really wanted an anpan and had to get the kuma choco custard as it’s so cute being in the shape of a bear. I saw the mochi donuts, too, but didn’t really need to get them as I already was treating myself to a bear-shaped baked good. I happened to be in the area in the coming days so went back to get a mochi donut. I got 2 mochi donuts as you can buy 2 for a lower price than buying 2 separately. I recommend warming the mochi donut up for a few seconds to bring back the chewiness of the mochi.

Best bakery around this area with a lot of great Asian style bread filled with many filling such as custard and savory meats, parking is pretty easy to since there is a parking garage next door, thing is getting the hot out of the oven goods is so amazing but most of the time u will get ones that have been sitting for like 5 hours. Each bread is around 3-4 dollars, the prices have been rising recently

Excellent baked goods and one of the best strawberry vendors in town- they bring in fresh strawberries from Japan, but the Amarin are $45 a box of 9 to 15 small strawberries.

Brug Bakery has finally come to Kahala Mall! This area has been in desperate need of more food choices and with the new addition of a brand new retail center next to Kahala McDonald's, Brug has a beautiful home so we can carb our faces off with unapologetic glee!

I decided to visit Brug Bakery today to buy a box of goodies for my daughter to take over to her friend's house. She has a weekly playdate and I told her it's always good to bring a gift when visiting someone's home. The new Brug Bakery is gorgeous and like its sister locations offers a variety of fresh baked pastry choices. I grabbed a tray and a set of tongs at the door and my daughter picked out an assortment of beautiful treats. We decided on an assortment of mochi donuts, monkey bread (one of their recommended favorites) and chocolate croissants which were nicely boxed up.

I know we'll definitely be back in the future to buy gifts for friends and teachers because who doesn't love a big beautiful box of pastries! I think a box of Brug love might be the new alternative to fresh delivered flowers...

Must try! I ordered a little assortment box for my family and me to try through a delivery service, and everything was delicious! I loved the little sticky note they added.
They have a wide assortment of things to try.
Will definitely return for more goodies! 😋

We accidentally found this little mall after a hike at the Diamond Head. We were hungry because it was about 1pm.

We decided to get some bread and sandwiches to eat. We got a couple of pastrami and egg croissants，a spam type sausage roll, two truffle salt bread, a baguette with cream filled in the middle and some others. Great tasty bread! My favorite was the truffle salt bread.

This is by far my favorite location . It is a more intimate setting and parking is great , just like there other locations . I come to this location because its closer to my house. Brug Bakery's bread is by far the freshest i have eaten. Made fresh daily i do not know why i would go to any other bakery or yet alone super market for bread or pastries. This is a great place to buy in bulk and take to company parties , or family or hey just for your self. I recommend Brug to my friends and family and even take some goods to my clients and they love it!

The bread are delicious and the drinks are nice

Although I’m personally not fond with the Matcha Latte (first time trying it), it’s still good 👍

My favorite cranberry fromage loaf, easily pull apart and filled with cream cheese and cranberries. The bread is soft and moist with sweetness of cream cheese and tardiness of cranberries, this is addicticting and delicious. Whatvso good about Brug, the breads are sold by full loaf, half even a third. What a great idea, get you hooked and coming back for more. Try it and I promise, if you love bread, try Brug!

Sorry Manoa Brug this is now my favorite location. Called Manoa location and asked what was the soup of the day but was told that they were already sold out but the worker was nice to tell me what it was without me asking, not sure how that helped sine it was already sold out.

[CLOVER BREAD] This location has CLOVER BREAD!! The Manoa location does not.

[SOUP] This location has has THREE containers for soup. I got to try the Clam Chowder and Corn Chowder. Both were really good, nice thick consistency for chowder with just the right amount of potatoes along with corn and clams that you could actually see and taste. Just be carefully since they are pretty hot which will be perfect since it's now fall. The clover bread is also nice for tearing apart and dipping in the soup.

[BAKED GOOD] They had a wide selection and a good quantity of each product even when we went after lunch time. Did I also mention they have clover bread?

Great bakery, consistent in quality with their other locations. This one sometimes has grilled musubis, which are quite good.

I just went here today with my friends and everyone working in the store was so nice!
I asked for the employee’s names and they were Christian, Jennifer, Mercedes! They were all so sweet and funny. Definitely going to go here next time I come into the area!

This is an amazing spot for coffee and bread. The bread is amazingly soft & the taste is better. So worth the trip.

Great baked goods ! They have one vegetarian option on the menu and some drinks but it was totally worth it.

So yummy the custard pan! Their food is delicious and it smells wonderful in the store!

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Nearly went back the same day to scoop up some more.

Lots of yummy pastries and breads. The sales staff is super helpful and courteous.

Loved it, its small but there are taking great precautions for their customers. The employee was nice and welcoming.
