KAHALA MKT. by Foodland

I was in a different area of town today and decided to stop in this local grocery store by Foodland. Jose in the meat shop offered me some chorizo. We discussed the “heat” before I tasted it. I only like it mild to medium. He said it was hot. I tried it anyway. It was very good. He walked me over to the location it was stored so I could buy some.

I heard my name and looked up to see Randall. He worked in the meat market at another Foodland and remembered me. He let me know that they received local whole chickens. I bought one so I could put in the crock pot and make sour cream enchilada.

It’s really a great experience establishing relationships with people so that we can help each other out. I will definitely return to this store!

This spot is clean! I knew it would have good poke because it’s owned by Foodland. It’s also the only poke place we went to during the trip that has the full size scallops. The rice kinda sucks though 😂

Very clean store with attentive staff. Medium-sized, not a large grocery store but it has a big selection of poke bowls. Also, tasty Taro chips (with sweet potato chips). Outside seating for dining, tables worh umbrellas.

great concept. very small manageable store with great prepared food and healthy bent. I had the breakfast special for $10 and it was more than I could eat. I got it keto style so eggs. kimchi Brussels sprouts and Sausage. Check out how beautiful it is in my photo.

The upscale foodland, def competing with Whole Foods and frankly I would come back here than Whole Foods because of their food options. I could spend hours inside this store.

Foodland poke is undeniably one of the best.
I learned to love Ahi poke because of them. If you love just plain sashimi, just get the poke without rice, it’s so filling you won’t miss the rice. Their Chocolate Haopia pie is interesting.

Always a good place to enjoy a fresh and hearty breakfast with the fam! The deli is superb! Friendly staff also - welcome to the Islands my friend!

Nice little quaint market to get a lot of stuff that you need on the organic and not GMO market. You are greeted at the door and the products look fresh with a good vibe, an overall nice experience.

Good variety of gluten free and keto options you might only find online. Nice to try it here, first. Pricey though. The big difference between this store and stores like Whole Foods is that this store is much more speciality based. They have some unique gluten free and keto options (I'm sure these products will change as products evolve) that typically cannot be found at other stores. Some decent selection of local products as well. What is nice is the majority of these products are all located together. So if you are shopping for bread you will see typical bread choices as well as keto bread and gluten free bread all in the same place so you can make a comparison. R. Fields has a mini store in the corner with a variety of brands both expensive and decently priced. Also a small humidor with a good selection of cigars. Right next to Zippys and across from Kahala Mall.

Great prepared foods and grocery items in a lovely upscale setting. The entry is lined with the *most* spectacular tropical flower offerings. Service was pleasant. We were greeted at the door by an employee offering us either a cart or basket. Really a fun store!

Staff so friendly it feels like such a family place, I love it! And the whole store feels so clean and neat with their own line of great snacks, its slowly becoming our island's version of trader Joe's!

5+ stars! I haven't been in this store for awhile but will return soon! Everyone and I mean everybody was superb! I was looking for dill, and the young man went above and beyond. The young man behind the fish counter is so personable. The pizza girl was kind and asked how I wanted it cut! Loved it and I love the crust crunchy! Thank you for a wonderful shopping experience!

never had a problem here. Always good selection of organic foods. One of my most favorite thing about this place though is their fresh flower selection. It's got single stem roses for small moments where you don't need a dozen or full boquet. I love that they have colorations you don't normally find and they are the larger rose buds. Store is new thus very clean, and while the bathroom requires a code, they seem to give it out freely if you're a customer as i've never had issue.

I just went to Kahala Market to grab a quick lunch. It was my first time ordering from the hot foods counter and all I have to say is WOW!! I ordered the Kim Chee Brussels sprouts, salmon with miso sauce and broccolini. This was better than most restaurants! The flavors were all on point and everything was cooked to perfection! For $15.99 it was more than worth it. Serving size was very generous. Compliments to the chefs!.

Great Foodland because it has the poke counter, but there's better parking here than Market City and the Ala Moana one. Never too crowded. This is where you go for select high end groceries. There's not a lot of choices because it is small. They do have a spirits corner too. There's a snazzy restaurant attached and I suspect some of their recipes are sold in the deli section as heat & eat entrees, like soup and pasta sauce. Great option for a quick dinner or lunch too since there are bentos, musubi, salads, sandwiches, dips, and sushi.

Best natural supermarket I have ever been to. And, of course, they have the best fresh poke available!

Hopefully, they will create more this concept of Foodland markets!

Although it is a high end market I love their specialty items. I got a good bottle of wine, tasty Gouda and yummy crackers. The bar inside also has a unique and delicious menu with a romantic ambiance.

Excellent service and product selection. Happy staff.. Great poke takeout. My favourite grocery store.
