Happy Cafe

I truly enjoyed this great cafe. From the moment you arrive you're greeted and welcomed. The vibes was a positive energy. Our server was great and was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our food so much. You could tell the chef really enjoy cooking. My food was succulent, tasty and savory. The fried egg was so delicious. My daughter and I both agree when we visit this area again we'll be sure to come back to the Happy Cafe. They also offer vegetarian options.

Little place with a LOT of personality! Everyone was incredibly nice and to not be a large restaurant, the BEST customer service you may ever experience. Every employee showed dedication to serve every customer. Everyone is super friendly.

The food was delicious and extremely reasonably. The overall meal was excellent.

I go to many eateries and this is now on my GO TO list. I (we) will definitely return.

Update: I highly recommend you try one of the specials that are not offered on the regular menu! I had the Shore Drive which had salmon, shrimp, potatoes, and this really good sauce!! It was delicious!!!

This is an amazing breakfast/brunch spot! I had the pleasure of dining here and had such a great experience! The staff are all very polite and welcome you as soon as you go in. I can't remember my waitress's name but she was amazing! You don't wait a long time for your good which is really great! They also have vegetarian/vegan options! I ordered a special they had the day which was shrimp and grits. I'd most certainly give that a 10/10!! The flavors were all there and the grits were made to perfection with the right texture! Whatever sauce they used in there was really good! They're also quite generous with the person sizes, so you get enough for the amount you spend! I enjoyed my time there and definitely plan on returning. Great atmosphere!!

I had been wanting to go here for over a year and finally made it on my birthday this past Saturday. The food was amazing 👏🏾! The service was awesome! Our food was at our table within moments of ordering. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and let me tell ya'll, it DID NOT MISS! Their menu is reasonably priced as well. I also had an order of French toast, good! The lovely lady (I think she was a hostess) came around and checked on us and everyone else. She also sang me happy birthday 🎂! I loved every moment of it. Happy Cafe gives you a free graduation doughnut on your birthday. I ordered the chocolate drizzle with chocolate ice cream and chocolate chips. Can you tell I love chocolate? Haha. I loved everything about this restaurant and will return. If you have not been, please go. If you have been, why have you not been back? Thank you, Happy Cafe, for your wonderful service and food.

The atmosphere of Happy’s Cafe is awesome. The place definitely passes the vibe check by miles.
The service is exactly what you would expect from an establishment named by HAPPY.
Not only are they happy to serve patrons with “happy food.” They also make sure to put a smile and a welcoming touch to the customer service experience.
Now, I did say “happy food” before. Yup, that’s definitely an understatement 😆.
This food comes out fresh and tastefully amazing. As I always tell people, “go check it out for yourself.”
A little extra: know you will be in good hands with the staff at Happys. I say this because when my wife and I were there, we witnessed another elderly patron just entering the cafe who happened to have heart failure fall to their knees. And this staff stepped up big time in helping this individual back to their good self quicker than a New York minute. Shoot, enough for that particular party to eat at happys right after incident.

Hidden gem here!!! Vegan options that don’t feel like you’ve been cheated. Healthy and fresh and delicious! Portion sizes are bigger than expected. Had to take some home…. Darn;) The price was worth every cent. Friendly service in a clean beautifully decorated atmosphere! This is my go to spot from now on! And the coffee!!!!!! Mmmmmmmm! The best I’ve had in a very long time… when you drink black coffee it HAS to be good!

Great food. One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. They have a set menu and have specials not on the menu. The banana pancake special was very delicious. Everyone was so pleasant and atmosphere was enjoyable. Top notch place!

I must say, this was a pleasant surprise to go to an restaurant that fixed everything perfect, didn't have one complaint. The food was very delicious. The waffle had a great flavor to it, I had the strawberry shortcake waffle, it was awesome. The atmosphere was superb and all the staff was pleasant. Our waitress Sheilah, was great, I will pick her when I come back. Orange juice DIDN'T have water added to it. L🤣L A lot of restaurants can take some notes from this establishment. On my weed scale, this is definitely some serious GASSS!!! You will not be disappointed.

When I say this place is class A service all the way around! Well it is. The owner and staff were bombastic, awesome, absolutely the best! I recommend anyone who goes to VA Beach to give this place a try! Let me tell you something, the dishes are so pretty that you don't want to eat your food, but I tore mine up. I love love love this place. Our attendant was so sweet and nice omg! The gentleman in the back brought my baby some applesauce until the food came, can you say so understanding and caring! Please try this place! It's worth every penny, nickel, dime, or dollar.

Normally when a place is busy you don't get the best service but this place has the best service,The host, Vanessa (I'm not really sure what her position was, but she was THE BEST). The waitress to the cook all had AWESOME customer service it was worth the wait. And the food 😋 was soooo good. My favorite was the bourbon chicken. We definitely will be returning

What a wonderful, bubbly cafe with amazing service that demonstrates a team work mentality. I’ve seen this place many times and chose not to try it, but today I went out on a limb and tried something new. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is inviting and the people are personable. I was very impressed with how fast I received my food and the attentiveness of each staff member. Will be bringing my girlfriends for a girl date soon! Thank you Happy Cafe for the best service I’ve received in a long time.

Listen, this place is a hidden jewel that my friends and I stumbled upon one day and now we go literally 3 or 4 times a month. It is my new go to for brunch and dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed, the prices are reasonable, the drinks are good, and the food is phenomenal 😋 😋 I have yet to have anything I don't like. If it matters to you it's black owned and family run but service is so welcoming and friendly!! It's always new specials to look forward to each time...so if you are near or considering I definitely recommend you trying it... their name literally speaks for itself because happy is how I always feel from the time I enter well into after the time I leave!!!

Today was my second visit to Happy Cafe and it was just as pleasant as the first. Staff are friendly and attentive, food is delicious, and prices are the best in town. I will definitely be back! I forgot to take a picture of the food, but I had the sausage and cheese on croissant with a side of fresh fruit. All delicious!

Hey I was asked to find a Breakfast place to eat. I saw a Black Owned restaurant just being curious. My homeboy mad picky so I was taking a chance. We walk in and the place was totally on point. The waitress was very attentive and she made us feel at home. The food Came Hot and the pancakes was Top 5 on my all time list. That little crunch on the edges was popping. The customers was diverse. The music was melodic. The decor was pleasant and she pays attention to detail. The bathroom was clean and was decorated real nice no bad smells. The kitchen is wide open and you can see the cooks. That means they stand buy they cooking skills and they extra clean. I do have a problem with the opening time. 10am misses a lot of potential customers in the area. They should open a 7am to catch the working crowd. If she opens another location I would consider investing. My waitress she from SC like my family so I will be biased towards her when I come back. The owner of this place has a skillset that is admired. I hope to meet and learn from her one day. I will be back and I am bringing a crew. Also I felt some kinda way seeing the hashbrowns. Not whaT I expected. It's they way. I like a crust on my hashbrowns so I won't ever get that. Dude ran through his so they must be good. Portions was good. Slightly higher food prices but I felt that was covered in the service quality. If you like Yolks on US in Ptown. This is in that category perhaps better. I don't give many reviews but I had to this time. It felt good to see a business get it Right. I don't know these people so I ain't no paid blogger brotha. I just like good food. Maybe I should do more reviews 🤔. Peace Happy Cafe. Yall got something over there.

Happy Cafe is definitely one place where the quality of food stays the same. I haven't eaten here in years, but the flavor is just like I remembered. I left quite satisfied with my meal and happy as always. I don't know what they do to their sandwiches, but they are so delicious. And, the hash browns??? What?! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. That's some good home cooking right there. The owner and the staff are so gracious and so friendly. Happy Cafe is the perfect name. I just wish I lived closer so that I could visit more and experience thia happiness frequently.

This place really is The Happy Cafe. My husband and I loved the atmosphere. He had the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich and I had the oatmeal. We were both super satisfied with the taste and quality. And you can’t beat the price!

I love this place!
Everything I have gotten here has been delicious and high quality, but the hash browns are what make me come back. The smoothies are great, too. Staff is friendly and engaging.
It gets busy very quickly, so make reservations if you can. But I've always been able to get a table or sit at the bar.

From the time we entered until the time we left we felt at home. A cozy space with good food a day good vibes is hard to find but luckily I stumbled across this. The service is top notch. The host and server were very attentive. The food choices are amazing. I decided to try one of the sandwiches. The bread melted in my mouth and the bacon was cooked just right. I was there for brunch so a Mimosa was much needed and they were good. All the guest were looked just as happy as me. That was a huge plus for me. As a restaurant person myself I love paying attention to the atmosphere as a whole. This place checked all the boxes and I will be back.

This place is a must go to! The food is incredible! The staff is very friendly and happy to assist. The restaurant offers very chic decor, a selfie wall, and a lounge area. Can’t wait to come back and happy to make this a staple restaurant that I go to!

My daughter and I came for a bite to eat. There are so many food and drink options available it might take a minute to decide what you want. We had a BLT and potato salad, and a sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwich with hash browns. Our food was delicious and the other patrons’s food and drinks looked amazing too! We highly recommend stopping in.
