Hawaii Dental Clinic- Kahala

Dr. Kim is an excellent dentist! I look forward to my visits because he and his staff take good care of their clients. I chipped my tooth because of a hard bite, and Dr. Kim gave good insight & suggestions on how to fix it. I was a little nervous for the procedure, but it was painless and pleasant. Mahalo for a great experience.

This is a great practice. they fit me in when I had a problem, are very educated and thorough. I like the way the dentist and assistant get right down to business, without wasting time. they do everything possible to make the patient pain free and comfortable while there. going to the dentist is never fun for me but They make it as pleasant as possible. Also like the movies playing in the waiting room!
Update: last visit I had a fainting spell! they couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful about it. they didn’t make me feel like I was using uo their time or causing them a lot of trouble.

My visit to Hawaii Dental Clinic for a teeth cleaning was excellent.
The hygienist does a very professional job in a very pleasant manner. Thank you! But do I need to write a review to say this?

It would be very nice if the receptionist asked if you would like to write a review on todays service during the exit from the dental office - rather than automatically send out 2 requests for a review?

I have been coming to the Hawaii Dental Clinic for over 25 years. Unfortunately my long time dentist retired about 5 years ago and when HDC took over I did consider finding another dental office. I now think the new guys with HDC do provide a very good dental service and I am happy that I stayed with them. Apart from automatically requesting reviews for each of my visits my only complaint is that I do not know the names of my dentist and his staff. There do seem to be different dentists in the office on different days. It also seems that my two recent crown replacements were done by the same dentist, but is the policy to assign each patient to a specific dentist? I suggest pictures and names of the staff, and perhaps the days they work, be on display somewhere in the office.

I broke the crown on one of my molars while eating some nuts and the dentist started work on making a replacement crown. I needed to wear a temporary crown for two weeks before the final crown could be fitted. Unfortunately, after a week the temporary crown broke and I just went to the dental office to see if I could get a replacement They were willing to work on it, but as it turned out they had just received delivery of the new crown. Within 30 minutes they fitted the final crown on my molar and took an x-ray to check everything with the tooth looked good. What great professional service, thank you for being my dentist!!

Went in for cleaning and check of filling, I was seen promptly and greeted by name. Cleaning was thorough and doctor came in and checked my concerns. All employees are very courteous and pleasant !

Dr Kim did excellent work on my dad who was visiting from out of town. He is conservative and friendly. Definitely recommend!!

I was happy with the sevice provided. I was concerned about the dirty offices with dust and powder spills on the equipment and countertops. The carpet even needed sweeping and cleaning. Not what I expected from a dentist office where supposedly sterile procedures are done

Some of the reviews I read made me nervous about going but i’m glad I chose this place than the other one I was debating on going to. from start to finish everyone that worked there was nice and accommodating. The dental technician, and the dentist were both very honest about what needed to be done with my teeth and showed me different options for solutions, which made me really appreciate and respect them. Overall had an unexpectedly pleasant experience.

Friendly front office with a chair outfitted with a massaging pad! Other than that Jason the dental hygienist and Dr. Harada are great. Great personalities and easy to talk with.

9/8/22- Hoku was my hygienist today and she was awesome! Not sure what happened to Jason. Guess he went back home.

4/10/24- Had a filling changed by Dr. Kim. Very efficient and quick. Didn’t realize the doctors and hygienist changed, thought they were off or on vacation. Oh well will adjust again.

Good service. I like the equipment where I don't have to drink water from a cup to rinse my mouth.

The Hawaii Dental Clinic staff in Kahala is always super friendly and the ladies at the front desk are always able to tell me what I should expect to pay out of pocket ahead of time which really helps me budget. My experience having Dr Kim replace my filling that was about 62 years old was very pleased. Dr Kim worked worked quickly and efficiently. His assistant was also great. She made sure to keep draining the sprayed water so I wouldn't gag. She worked efficiently with Dr Kim handing him the proper instruments to do his work as quickly as possible. My regret is my gagging which slowed his work down.
