The Apple House

Had been recommended the Apple House on several occasions and eventually decided to give it a try as I was going to be driving by it. The store overall is very cool and has a wide variety of items. I decided to have lunch here and got the grilled chicken sandwich and a apple cider donut. The sandwich was good but was a basic grilled chicken sandwich. The apple cider donut on the other hand was absolutely delicious. Arguably the best apple cider donut that I have ever had! If you are considering stopping by I definitely recommend doing so!

What an awesome little stop on our way to Sky Meadows Park. Great food, awesome service and and great little store. We got breakfast 😋 and asked for it to go. They have an awesome spot outside by the creek 👌 with a few picnic tables. Definitely recommend this place 👌 👍 the apple doughnuts are amazing so was the food.

My son and I stopped by for lunch (the burger and steak sandwich was delicious) and left with even more food. We picked up the fantastic donuts and apple fritters. It was great looking around the store, and we picked more than a few trinkets, sauces, and stickers. We will be back soon.

The Apple House is a favorite stop whenever we are in the area. They have great BBQ and the best Reuben that I have ever had! Definitely a fun place to stop by, and you can check out their selection of hot sauces and souvenirs too.

What a gem! This is like the OG Cracker Barrel with a cute shop to buy souvenirs and a restaurant next door.

We stopped by because we were in the Shenandoah area and got the bully burger as well as the buffalo burger. Both were well made and delicious. The star of the meal was the hush puppies, crispy, crunch, flavored well!

Delicious food 😍 and the staff was excellent! ❤ the grilled chicken ranch sandwich and the Hokie Philly cheese steak sub! The home fries and onion rings omg so good. Also a must buy is the Apple 🍎 donuts!

I love this place. Their foods were amazing!! I can tell all things are home made. My husband got Swiss Mushroom Burger, and I got BBQ Pork Sandwich. Whatever kinds of cut style their fries are awesome. The bean was super tasty, it tasted a little bit sweet. Don’t forget to buy their donuts. It was sooooo good! It was not too sweet and nicely soft. Check out their gift shop too. They have unique products.

One of my favorites places to go when heading towards Shenandoah National Park. The restaurant has the best fleshy made apple donuts I’ve ever had but what can I say about breakfast items and the rest of the menu ? OMG ! … everything is delicious, all entrees I’ve had have always been large portions so you’ll never leave that place hungry
You must try the pulled pork sandwich; if you’re a foodie get the JUMBO. Brisket grilled cheese is one of my favorite sandwiches as well. The Best part is the prices are very affordable.

Store has a large number of souvenirs of all sorts as well as funny socks, several walls of many different hot sauces and much more.

One of the most interesting places I've ever dined in! There's so much to look at and browse while waiting for your food. We sat next to the fire place, which was so pleasant. Food was fantastic and we bought plenty of goodies to take home.

Yummy apple cider donuts made fresh daily (make sure you get a fresh box). Yummy potato salad and pastrami sammy. Right off the exit. Great place to stop on the road. Gift shop with lots of gift shop things to look at.

Came for the apple cider doughnuts, stayed for the jumbo BBQ pulled pork sammich and cornbread salad with fried chicken. Both were delicious. Need to come back for breakfast.

The restaurant side was full up, so we sat over in the bar, beautiful live edge tables.

My buddies and I usually ride our motorcycles here for a weekend lunch. They have great beers and an awesome spicy chicken sandwich (my go to). They also have a great breakfast menu, which I have yet to try. The atmosphere is awesome, it makes you feel like your at a nice lodge. Great place to relax and have a great meal.

So cozy and very warm and friendly. Service is slow but it is worth the taste and the atmosphere. Great selection of the beers on draft and staff are super friendly and kind. They do go out of their way to make sure to make you feel home. Store have a lot of the cute and fun items, including a lot of spices to buy. It is a must see place. Enjoy...

Was on a quick getaway, and stumbled upon this place, I wasn't expecting to see all of the options for sauces, beers, wines, etc along with 2 options of food from different sides of the house. We were greeted immediately and asked if we would like to play a game for a chance to win money without paying for the game. We played, we were in 3rd place and it was actually fun, everyone was involved and laughed, joked all while eating the delicious food.

While driving to Front Royal, Virginia today with my grandson for a few days, we stopped at the Apple House Restaurant for lunch! We were both glad we did.

I had a pastrami sandwich with baked beans (no canned baked beans here!) My grandson had a grilled cheese and Route 11 potato chips. Both meals were delicious and came with thick cut pickles.

The restaurant also has a separate room for a pub and sells hot sauce and all sorts of other merchandise in their store. Check out photos of some of their tshirt slogans.

From the homey atmosphere to the generous portions and delicious food, the Apple House can't be beat!

Plenty of people have told us we had to eat at The Apple House so today we took a Sunday drive out to Linden, VA for lunch. They don't have a huge menu but they do have several great options. The first one, The Wildcat, caught my eye because it's pastrami. That's one of my favorites and it didn't disappoint. It was a toss up between that and The Pimento Cheese Burger. The Bacon Ranch Potato Salad was fantastic. I only wish there was more of it. That is definitely my new favorite side. My wife had The Virginian which is a grilled Virginia ham and cheese. That along with the coleslaw was a great combination. I know it was good because she finished her lunch before I finished half my sandwich. We'll have to head back out there so I can try The Pimento Cheese Burger along with the Pork BBQ. I saw several folks eating that and it looked delicious. There's also the kid-friendly Bushel Pub on the other side of the gift shop. They have their own menu along with beer, wine and hard cider. That's another place we'll have to try.

Coolest gift shop, fresh delicious apple doughnuts, and really great diner-esk food too. Only thing that could have been better was the coffee. The coffee is about as good as you’d get from a gas station. I will stop here every time I go out to Shenandoah from now on. Must visit!

This place is a gem, great donuts, great atmosphere. I truly love being here cause I feel like I’m experiencing or being part of some thing that’s slowly dying here in the US mom and pop establishments with the country feel. I love this place will definitely be coming back wish I could get you, but I love Sherry. Hope you guys can check it out too.

The Apple House is an amazing place! I got “Grandma’s Grilled Cheese” and it was delicious! All of the people in my party had also said that their food was delicious and they gave all of it 5 stars. The people that were working were super friendly, and the wait time for all of our food(I had a party of 5) was not that long at all, maybe about 20 minutes at the max. The items in the gift shop were awesome, but somethings were quite expensive. The hot sauces were absolutely hilarious to look at, and so were the stickers. The overall atmosphere of the place was great, and a lot of the signs they had up were pretty relatable and relaxed. This place was really nice and I would love to recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat!

Country cooking and sandwiches at their best. We'll known local restaurant famous for its bbq and sandwiches and apple donuts. Great store with cute items and best hot sauces offering I've ever seen.
