BRUG Bakery Lanai at Ala Moana (food court)

Clean and inviting. All the pastries lure you into a soft and fresh taste of heaven. We have been in Hawaii for six days and there has not been one bad pastry in all of our selections. This is a must to visit right outside of Macy’s in the food court.

This week was an extra rotten week, so to cheer everyone up, Brug was delivered to us by my mom. I love Brug. The Matcha Turtles🐢, Apple 🍎 Cinnamon Custard Danish,Cream Cheese Bomb, Brug curry, Kuma Chocolate Custard and creamy tomato soup are among my favorites when they first opened. Today we had a variety of goodies, each person having their own personal favorites. I don’t know the official name of the baked goods, but i will put a brief description of each one. Very tasty and delicious baked goods offered with pleasant staff. Family Favorite Spot for us!

My mom bought me a Kaeru (frog) Choco Matcha Melon Pan. It was so adorable!! 😍 Filled with chocolate! If u heat it around 30 seconds it gets nice and melty. I really missed the Kame (turtle) Matcha Melon Pan so i was so happy to get one of these!

My mom grabbed me a hot dog, curry pan, Ichigo Neko (Strawberry Cat) and a New Limited item I never tried before. She can’t remember the entire name but said it was a pineapple cream. It was so delicious!!! A adorable pineapple shaped pan with chunks of pineapple, cream and shredded coconut!! Yum! Grab one while u still can!

Get the Kona Coffee pudding. A tasty custard and coffee kick. Also got the holiday Brug Tree, like a wonderful cream horn.

One of my favorite pastries on island. I bought their blueberry cheesecake bread, strawberry covered donuts, and mango filled donuts (spring limited edition). They have other seasonal bakery that you should try when you have the opportunity.

I like a place that has savory pastries. They have this delicious sausage roll and other good stuff. The black sesame mochi donut was also slicks. It's a bit softer and chewier than what I'm used to, but I like it. They have tons of other items to try out.

Great pastries, not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I like this place in the morning before the Lanai gets super busy. Just sit in there with the morning mall-folk, chew some Brug and get your day off to a joyous start

Lots of bakery goods to choose from. Many have unique ingredients. We ordered the pastrami and cheese focaccia, tuna bomb, and kulua pork panini. The breads are soft and chewy and the meats/stuffing were well seasoned.

As usual, Brug knocks it out of the park. Best bakery in the mall hands down. Delicious products and quick service despite the long lines.

Love Japanese bakeries you really cant go wrong. I wish you would add more savory breads like hashbrown buns but I love the breads anyways and will always stop by when im in the island.

Dreams do come true! A crunchy biscuit topping over a soft bread roll, with a hint of a crunchy biscuit topping over a soft bread roll. With a hint of melon! What!? Doesn't get better than that. Order one, or four. You're welcome. ✌✌

Great pastries from savory to sweet as well as neutral. Fun and creative. Always find something to satisfy my craving. Although not health food, I do feel that they are healthier then other bakeries and not over loaded with sugars, creams, or dripping with oil. The location is clean and well lit. Staff are always quick and attentive. My only complaint is that they should open earlier to accommodate people heading into work.

Got some super tasty pastries here. Best mochi donuts at Ala Moana. Probably the only mochi donuts? Too bad they don't open until 9am.

Real talk, the bread here on any of their pastries is sooooooooooo soft and soooo delicious. I had the Hokkaido Anpan and oh my goodness. Just get it. It was incredible. The red bean flavor was rich and flavorful and not just full of sugar. The beef curry pan was top notch. So soft. Beef curry did not over power the bread.
