I rented cars from this Hertz location for about 2 months and had a fantastic experience!! Everyone was kind, but Nani was above and beyond helpful. Any time I had an issue Nani made the process to fix it quick and easy. Highly recommend renting from this location!!

When booking the reservation with a third party site, we did not realize this was off the airport. I am frustrated with that site, but Stephen (?sp) at this location, was extremely understanding, friendly and helpful both at pick up and drop off. He went above and beyond in making sure our whole car rental experience was great. Thank you for helping our first, of many visits to the island, spectacular!!

Hertz was a life saver. Enterprise completely booked and no cars available. Hertz provided a car for me at a low rate while my truck was in the shop. Happy customer.

Rented a Mustang convertible at the weekly rate and really enjoyed it. Staff was helpful and easy to work with, no wait at all. It's a SUPER short walk from the airport, but is not part of the airport car rental program. I would gladly use their service again, especially for a long duration.

was here for vacation. this place has the best deal of the year during the time we got the car. only down size is no shuttle service to this location from airport as it a Recovery location. a quick Uber will solve the issue. next time i land will be sure to pick up car here.

This is a great travel hack for anyone hoping to get around the 50% airport taxes and surcharges on HNL rental cars. Depending on your airline, it's about a 10 minute walk from the airport itself, and is ironically closer to the airport than some of the "airport" locations which require you to take a shuttle. Can you walk from the terminal? Yeah, it's pretty easy. But you can also grab an Uber for about $10 if you have luggage.

The team is friendly (but understaffed, like everyone else in 2021) and they really go way out of their way to make your experience smooth. I've rented here at least five times, and have never been disappointed. If Covid is a concern for you, they take it very seriously, letting you wait outside until it's time to do your paperwork.

And just a quick reminder to visitors: salt water is really bad for car seats. If you get a rental with lots of white stains on the seats--don't freak out, it's common around here. People take their rental to the beach, then get back in and get the fabric wet. When they dry, there's an outline of white salt residue that's left (and right) behind.

Great people make Hertz great. The staff at the airport desk were awesome! Very helpful with instructions, directions and suggestions. The woman there was awesome! The car set up for me (Kia) didn't have enough headroom for me (6'2") so she set me up with another car fast and no upcharge. Drop off was fast and easy too. Attendant was ready and waiting when we pulled in, couple of minutes and done. Thank you Hertz!

The car was in very good shape and it ran very well. I was bummed out that it was so small but after two days of driving it was a blessing that it was small. The roads were narrow in some places and I was able to get around easily. The only issue I had was the website I used to rent the car had us going to an offsite rental office. The onsite rental office told us to take a cab. There should have been a shuttle. But that doesn't take away from the car plus they shuttled us back to the airport on the last day.

Best prices in Honolulu. Go to the one on Koapaka St., not the one at the airport. They upgraded my vehicle for a 2020 Nissan SV (leather seats) (1k miles on it) w/ insurance (cheaper then what I had reserved!) for $143 , 5 day rental.

There is a location located inside the airport by Baggage Claim Terminal 2.

Excellent service at this location and happy with the car. I rented for a month and pickup and drop off was easy. The location was a bit hard to find but otherwise recommended. Their prices are a much better deal than getting direct from the airport and the location is sooo close to HNL.

This location is not at the airport? But you will save enough money on the rental for an Uber or can! My Thanks to both Michala and Ken as they took great care of me! Great car, Great service!

Fast, friendly, accurate service with Aloha given here. This is a Hertz Local off airport location. There is no shuttle bus to or from the airport or Waikiki at this location however, if you call ahead to this office they will have a driver pick you up and take you to Hertz Local. You actually save money by renting from this location because there are no airport concession or tourist fees, just standard fees and taxes. Ask for Ki (pronounced Key) he will go above and beyond for you. There is no Hertz Gold or express service at this location. I'm not sure why other reviews complain about rude behavior and slow service, I rent from this location monthly and have never experienced anything less than professional, fast, friendly service with Aloha from Hertz Local on Koapaka St. It's right off Daniel K Inouye Honolulu International Airport and nextdoor to Outrigger-Ohana Hotels and Resorts Airport Hotel Honolulu.

I had excellent service. There was one gentlemen that assisted me with getting my car. He is from Boston, and can't remember the name but he was great. I was it was on airport but for the price was worth the walk.

Trusted, friendly and fast service. I am glad I went outside of the airport. I saved us some $$$. It's not far and the staff was helpful to get you to the location. All you need is to call them they will work with you.

I wasn't able to bring the car back before closing time, and they accommodated me which was very much appreciated. Would definitely rent from this location again.

We rented from them twice and there was a booking issue with our 2nd reservation through the expedia website. They were Extremely professional and I would recommend them any day!
