Maria's Old Town 21

If you're looking for authentic Italian food then look no further than the Historic part of Petersburg. Maria's Old Town 21 is simply perfect for any time of day. From the patio to the front door is charming and then when you enter, you will find a bar that will equal or better any in NYC or DC. Walk further in and you will feel like you have just walked in to an Italian Pizza. The food is wonderful, and the staff and owners are lovely. I have been back twice now and the hardest thing is deciding what to eat. The decor is second to none and the ambiance is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are eating alone or a large party, they are able to accommodate you. Parking is on the street, or there is parking behind or a close by parking lot. Do not hesitate to go here, you will not be disappointed. This is now one of my go to restaurants.

We celebrated my daughter's 21st, and EVERYTHING was AMAZING! The only complaint for me was that my lemon drop martini was watery, but other than that, it was definitely a beautiful location, and we definitely will be back!

This restaurant is a true gem in Petersburg. I ordered bacon scallops as appetizer and butternut squash ravioli as entree on their seasonal menu. 10 out of 10. I would definitely come back when I have the chance.

Incredible! From Italian wedding soup to a cannoli, Maria’s brings me back to studying abroad and trips to Florence, Rome, and Livorno! 10/10 for everything! Ask for Brent or Maria ;)

Real deal Italian owners, and their entrees reflect the expertly prepared dishes.
First time I was compelled to tip the chef, all 3 of our different entrees were delicious.
We decided to pick from the menu instead of our usual choice of pizza which is a 5 star hit in itself.
Family run outperforms the chain all day long.
Inside is a beautiful Italian themed decor.
Outside tables as well.
They have a bar area.
They've done an excellent job hosting a big event in the past too.
Plenty of dining room for large and small groups.
They had a jazz band Saturday evening,
Corn hole boards out front.
The area is safe, clean, and a lot of activities going on all around Old town

I absolutely loved the ambiance of this restaurant. The food was impressive. Pasta was perfectly cooked Al dente. Fries were fresh and crisp. Sandwich was better than expected. The mojito was good. Desserts were decadent. Great service from our server Christian who had helpful suggestions. Would definitely come back again.

First, it's a super cool looking place. The inside is big and can hold a lot of business. The bar area is really nice too. Our server Denia was great. Super nice, prompt, polite, I appreciate that a lot when I'm out places. Being nice to each other seems to be rare these days. The food was great. We had lasagne (it does irk me a little to see it spelled with an "a," but I digress) and salmon, both were fantastic. Then we had a canoli and the crème brûlée. All-in-all, would definitely recommend. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend if you like Italian food and are down this way.

Went to lunch with some of my amazing business partners! This is a very large space with outside seating as well as, in door dining. The waiter was new, but was very polite! Everyone in the bar went above and beyond to give us 5 star treatment! Will definitely come back to enjoy more food items!

This place was so surprising to me. The food was fantastic the atmosphere was wonderful Italian music with the Four Tenors on the speakers was beautiful. We had a fantastic waiter, Christian he was super helpful kind and answered all questions.

First of all, the food was fantastic! Definitely get the mozzarella sticks. The prices were very fair for the portions and quality. Very friendly staff. Tamika was very attentive and we never had an empty glass on our table. Overall one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time.

A bit on the more pricey side, but we'll worth it for authentic Italian food I personally had the Calzone which was great! Everyone else who dined with me loved their plates as well. Definitely will be coming again. There is also nice music playing it it was a good atmosphere.

I mean amazing food + customer service and ambiance. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Coming from NY i can say the quality of the food is %100 good. Thx again for the great eats.

Authentic and delicious southern Italian food (the owners are from Italy!). Extensive, however, not overwhelming menu. Great atmosphere and even a large patio for nice days to eat al- fresco! The service was excellent...definitely a must try for anyone planning a visit to historic Petersburg - even if it is to sample this wonderful gem of a place! Bravi 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, and great service! A must when you are in Petersburg!

The food was just delicious taste fresh and the bread was cooked to order. I don’t have Puc of the food because we were too excited to eat that we didn’t take pics. Beautiful decor inside and out feels like Italy.

Chelsea was our server..she was so sweet and took great care of us! Food was outstanding. We had the Italian margarita which was great. Looking forward to coming back again.

Thos place was on point! Such kind staff, a gentleman sang on the stage and he had a delightful voice. The food was excellent and flavorful. Plenty of space in the restaurant and a fun atmosphere. Restrooms were clean but could have been restocked ( I believe they were low on staff like everywhere else). Definitely a great time and I will be going back over the next few minths that I am in the area. I highly encourage anyone to check it out.

Saturday afternoon lunch was enjoyable. Good food and service. There is a patio to enjoy a meal outside that looks very welcoming. They also have their own parking lot for off street parking

Best Italian restaurant in Petersburg, in mine and my wife's opinion. You really cannot go wrong with anything; and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Curteous waitstaff and management, as well.

We had a really great time with the family, party of 10 and I was pleased that everyone's food came out hot. We tried a variety of things off the menu and everyone was very pleased with their food. They have done a wonderful job with the decor and the general feel of the place, I look forward to being able to go back in warmer weather and try the outside seating. We had a very good server All of the staff were super friendly and helpful.
