La Isla Restaurante

I'm so glad I found this place. The authentic Puerto Rican cuisine is delicious, very reasonably priced, and the staff was very courteous. The restaurant was very clean and the ambience was inviting. I will definitely be returning to La Isla!

The food is excellent and all the dishes are visible for you to choose from. Also, there is such a down home warmth to the owner…LOL feels like your dad or grandpa is making your plate!

The food was delicious! The Mofongo was perfect! The rice was ok but the alcapurria was so good! Worth the trip! I'll be back when I around here.

So polite and wonderful food. . Great price for the amount they give u.. meats are always so tender. lunch price is the best time to go.. I'll have to get a pic next time .

I've been wanting to come here as it's practically across the street but hadn't gotten to until now. It's not like other places where you sit and wait to be served. You walk in, get your food, and then you sit with your food on hand if they don't have to replenish. If not, then you have to wait for it. The food was delicious, and my non Latino friend enjoyed it more than me. 🤣🤣🙂

OK 1st of all this is the best puerto rican food in central Florida that I know about. It is delicious, almost better than Abuela 😁 I'm here almost 3 times a week. Everything I have tasted is delicious. My favorites are The chicken and the Yellow rice black beans and the Cuban sandwich is off the chain. They take fresh pork right from the hot oven and put it on the sandwich before they toast it On the hot press. The flan is delicious ❤ The service is wonderful. Just nice people .

The owner is awesome! Super friendly!! The food is amazing!!! The setting is very modest and casual. People on here saying "it's too expensive"...that is NOT TRUE AT ALL. Yes, it's a bit more expensive than McDonald's. HOWEVER... The quality of food is on par with all the big name places in Tampa and Ybor City. In addition to that one plate will serve two (or EVEN THREE) people. THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST KEPT SECRETS IN TAMPA BAY!!!

From presentation to taste, this place is outstanding. Its a little hole on the wall restaurant. trust me when i tel you if you are in the st pete area this place is to die for. Very wholesome owner highly recommend the sweet plantains and the yellow rice is perfect. The ac is super chill and two tvs in restaurant. Seating is nice and place is very spacious. Ive seen more happy customers leave here than i ever had anywhere else. I would take a photo of the food but i almost bit off the guys hand as he was handing me the plate.

I was kind of skeptical about coming here because not everyone can cook Spanish food, but wow!!! La Isla is small and cozy and the food is to die for (especially if you try to take mine)😁 The food is wonderful, that's all I have to say. Worth every penny.

Amazing owners! I've been eating here over 10+ years. Great food especially if you miss homemade Spanish food. A must try if your in the area. You won't leave disappointed. A lot of food for your money.

The food was delicious, I got a chicken breast straight out of the rotisserie. It was so fresh, and so well seasoned. Not to mention at killer prices for home cooked food. $8 for a full plate, + a drink. I’d highly recommend it!

I looked it up online and had to get it I was super hungry and we're working split shaft my tummy was super satisfied the gentleman behind in the kitchen was super friendly and super patient as I was figuring out what to pick to eat he showed me what he had to offer I love Puerto Rican food thank you to the gentleman who serve me the food was great thank you

Family owned/operated type of place with friendly and efficient service. My first time in there, and the gentleman took the time to take off all the covers on the food to show me what they had and explained how people usually order on the $6.99 lunch special at the walk up counter. I got the stew with black beans and yellow rice along with an order of plantains and everything was delicious.
