Nuevo Vallarta Authentic Mexican Food

We read the reviews before coming, so we were excited to come eat here. The food was great, and the service was great. I had the vegetable fajitas and my boyfriend had the Molcajete loco. We had the bean dip for an appetizer. The frozen margaritas were not our favorite, buttt we didn't mind, because we came for the food. We really enjoyed it and if we ever come back to the St Pete area, we will definitely come back

Small place with amazing food! Went here on a whim and will say I didn't regret it. The girlled pineapple was so different and delicious. Service was nice and not rushed. Also liked the salsa.

You know when the interior of a Mexican Restaurant looks like this the food is going to straight SLAP...... and slap it does. I ordered the Chimichanga and it was fried to perfection and was still crispy even with all that delicious sauce on top. The beans and rice were great as well. What really stood out though was my friends order. The big Chicken Burrito. I only took a few bites and I must say that I would drive all the way down to Florida to taste it again. Anywho, this is in a small building in front of the bay view/side inn right before Bill Jackson. Go .. go now. 100% recommend.

Amazing food! The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE, making the value great. Service was great too. When I first drove in, the outside of the restaurant looked sketchy but I’m glad I went inside to give it a try.

Best fish tacos in town. This is a hole in the wall but don't judge it from the outside.

Arrived about 5pm Friday night. NO waiting.
Food out in less then 10 minutes after our arrival. (We also knew what to order).
Started off with bottomless in-house made chips and salsa. Chips were very good! My friend really liked the house salsa.
We drank an horchata that was lightly cinnamon flavored, and a jamaica iced tea. The cinnamon was a very nice addition. The Jamaica was not too tart. Neither drinks were too sweet as usually served!! Sooo tasty, refreshing and Large!!
I ordered the MOLCAJETE LOCO.
Wow Wow!! A Meat Lover's dish seasoned lightly but savory! Served HOT in a heated stone axtec grinder. What a sight!!
5 meats- steak, pork, chicken 12 grilled skewered shrimp, and chorizo w/6 sides: quesadilla, rice, beans, shredded lettuce salad, nopal, avocado, And 4 hot corn tortillas with a savory but hot red chile sauce. You could get flour tortillas as another choice.
My friend ordered the Caldo de Pollo, and she was pleased. It came with corn or flour tortillas also.
The place was authentic in decor also. The music, the banners, the posters, and the furniture. It "felt" like Mexico 🇲🇽 !
Maricela, our server, was very courteous, attentive, and professional. The waitresses sport a traditional cotton flowered shirt called a huipil, so pretty!

Great food, great margaritas, great service! The prices were very reasonable as well. Everything we had tastes fresh and homemade.

This is a perfect find!! I absolutely love the food here In this cozy little cute Restaurant. It’s actually hidden and hard to find however the food is amazing! So far the best Mexican food in town!

Friendly staff and the food was super delicious, and the amount they served was more than what I thought it was going to be. Very good food! Definitely will return!

Let me be completely honest. When I drove up I was a bit confused how it was connected to a motel and where to park. The outside isn’t the best but that’s how I knew the food would be good. And HONEY LET ME TELL YOU!!! the food was astronomical. The best Quesa Birria I’ve ever had!! So. Damn. Good!! 10/10 recommend.

This was everything I wanted out of a Mexican restaurant. The cheese dip was awesome, but the guacamole was bland. Our server was patient and knowledgeable and trust patients is needed when my fiance has to ask about everything on the menu.
Edit: I have been back to this lovely little place several times since I reviewed the 1st time and the guacamole was much better.

I was not expecting much when I pulled into the parking lot because the restaurant is collocated in an older style motel. It was lunchtime and the place was empty and no employees were around. We almost left but it smelled good so we took a seat by the window after we found a waitress. VERY GLAD we stayed. The food was amazing and plentiful. All the varieties of meat were obviously slow-cooked so they melted in my mouth and were well seasoned. We’ll definitely be back.

Huge burritos! The Loco burrito is amazing..bring an appetite! The famous Gilled Pineapple is awesome as well. Margaritas are perfect. A must visit for those craving true traditional Mexican food and Margaritas. Some of the best around The 'Pete

First time coming here and it won’t be the last, my husband and I ordered lunch, the burrito loco and the lunch special. The food came in great portions and the margarita I had was well balanced. I’ve been to Mexico and this margarita was better than the ones we had there. Everything came out very quickly too. We would be happy to come back here!

So I found this place by a simple google search and we love AUTHENTIC MEXICAN food. When we pulled up we were a little hesitant, as the outside is not conducive to what’s on the inside. We went in anyway..and were pleasantly surprised!

Our server Blanca was very friendly and attentive and provided EXCELLENT SERVICE! As we were sitting the restaurant began to fill up and this was a Thursday evening, so it’s obviously a hidden gem that I’m thrilled to have discovered.

The burrito I had - burrito verde - was phenomenal and bursting with flavor and filling and it was ENORMOUS (which I was very happy about)! My husband had the fajitas and they smelled and looked wonderful. Carnitas taco 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾! The meat was tender and juicy.

The guacamole is good just needed a little salt and the margarita was just ok but I wasn’t there for drinks so that doesn’t change anything for me.

You must go and be hungry when you get there.

Omg so yummy!! Scary at first walking in for sure. But I was met and greeted by a few servers, and they were awesome! 5 stars, can't wait to return!

The best authentic Mexican food that I have had in this area. I don't even understand how there are negative reviews for this place. Fast and friendly service and very cheap, especially for the portion they serve. I pulled the chicken out of my enchiladas just to taste the chicken by itself and it melted in my mouth. Hands down, best chicken and beef enchiladas I've had in a long time

I am seriously FaPpy right now! This place is my new favorite! The only negative I can give you is that I waited a bit too long for my second beer. The food was TREMUNGOUS! It was seriously giving my mouth palpatations from start to finish! Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were seductively enticing. I was amazed at the fried cheesecake and we both found ourselves sighing at the end of this meal. Thank you Nuevo Vallarta for a great first class meal!
