Buford Highway Farmers Market

Visited in October 2014. I was amazed by the selection they had. It was like traveling the world in one store. They had candies from Scandinavia (and Finland), a wide selection of fresh seafood and lot of beers from exotic countries. I was impressed by the variety of chilies they had. The market was clean and well-organized, and the prices were reasonable. Buford Highway Farmers Market is a great place to shop something out of the ordinary.

We love to go to the Buford highway Farmers market. It has such a large swath of people from all over the world. As far as I know this is the largest international farmers market we have in the city. They have stuff for every part of the world it seems. I don't think their fish section is matched anywhere else in retail. If you go on Sunday that is the busiest day and you will see people from all over shopping in all areas. Today I watched an older lady shopping in the Eastern European section who would probably be called a babushka in her home country.

Must go to if you in the area! When ever I'm going through Atlanta I make a plan to stop here! One of the best markets I've ever been to! Almost any fruit, veg, fresh tortillas. Big meat section, one of the most impressive fish counters and every region in the world food you can fine.

The market lives up to the hype. The produce section alone had at least twenty things that I'd never seen before in my life, and it took the better part of a gape-mouthed hour to browse through the aisles of international goods. There are two baked goods sections - a Hispanic bakery and one dedicated to Eastern European pastries - and the seafood section dominates much of the back space. For its size, I was surprised it didn't smell fishy, then later realized that must speak to the freshness of the goods.

It's immensely difficult to be surrounded by so much food and not want to eat, and it seems the gods of this market understood that because there are two prepared foods sections. One sits on the side of the Asian goods, selling things like savory pancakes, dumplings, sushi, and prepped plates. The other area is more like a food court with a generous sitting area besides. Food from the buffet area is weighed by the pound, and they'll give you the white rice for free (so don't waste your container space on carbs if you don't want to). True to the soul of this international market, the food offerings represented a wide array of ethnicities. I defy you to find another place where you could get a meal plate of fries, beef empanadas, Jamaican beef patties, chicken tikka masala, and Korean bulgogi. None of the offerings were terribly standout in quality, but it was such a fun variety of food that we didn't mind all that much.

You can buy a variety of international food ingredients. In particular, the fish corner is always busy and is a great place to buy fresh seafood. Also, the vegetables are fresh.

This is basically an international grocery store, but it is massive and well organized. They have a large selection of products from Japan, the Philippines, India, Korea, Mexico, America and I'm sure others that I may have missed. We love being able to get our favorite Asian snacks here.

Amazing experience! Everything you could imagine and so many new things to try! The fresh fish market and produce are amazing and prices are incredible. Plan to spend several hours here exploring the isles organized by countries!

Buford Highway’s Farm market always has some of the best fresh produce, fish, option, cheese, and more.

What I like about this farmers market is that everything is labeled by country is easy to find anything that I am looking for. They always have such great prices, and I can buy a lot with some of the freshest ingredients for any of my recipes.

Below is my kitchen of all the items I bought all of that was for $250. I included some of the interior of the farmers market so you can see what they have. I have been shopping there for over 15 years and they have never disappointed me.

Some of my favorite sections to be in is the Japanese, Korean and Chinese sections I can always find the ingredients that I am looking for for any other recipes that I am trying.

Some much different items. I love it there. If your a person that's open to try different food this is your place to come.

Awesome place to visit if you in the area. I am Ukrainian American so I find some sweets from my hometown in Ukraine and I was so impressed and happy, and also some new interesting things I bought to try! Huge variety and for every taste 👍

Most diverse selection of produce I have found anywhere. Mushrooms, peppers, its a real treat shopping here. I enjoy visiting just to roam and discover new products. For a store this large, its surprisingly well kept, products all within exp date. Seafood dept is mind blowing, make sure to go there first since there is often a long wait to be called.

This market is a gem. I appreciate the cleanliness and it has a variety of specialty items. They have the freshest produce that I have eaten in Atlanta. I was so excited to find seeded grapes. I couldn’t wait to get home and try them. After the first taste I was taken back to my childhood, when food tasted fresh and organic. I will visit again to become familiar with other selections. I do recommend shopping here for their organic fruits and vegetables.🍎🍇🍓🍌

A lot of varieties for fishes, which are relatively on the fresher side in Atlanta. They also have a food court, some sushi/sashimi, European bakery items. Always fun here but can be crowded during weekends.

My first visit to this place and will come again. I purchased live caught tilapia and shrimp. They are fresh and good. This place is a very busy and visited on Sunday morning around 11 am. I would recommend to visit early and get a ice cooler to keep it fresh. They will provide lots of ice.

This is objectively the best grocery store. You can find practically any ingredient you’re looking for, and likely a ton of amazing stuff you didn’t expect. Their produce is fresh and reasonably priced. The meat I’ve gotten is fresher than the chain grocery stores and cheaper. Everyone I’ve spoken with has been super polite and helpful.

Really great deli, lovely staff, lots of interesting meats and tons of unique European products. They also get fresh bread which is amazing.

This place is amazing. I could spend hours here, there is so much variety. The produce section is especially impressive. The fish counter is a little overwhelming, but everything I have gotten here has been excellent.

This is just about the best grocery store I've ever been to. There is quite literally anything and everything you could ever want from just about anywhere in the world. They have a ton of Asian, European and Hispanic foods/products. The store is fairly clean and the size is truly phenomenal. I spent nearly 2 hours in here easily! This store is a one stop shop for everything. 5/5 for sure. I wish there was a location closer to where I live!

Great variety of world food. Prices are pretty good for imports. Best Asian and Easter European food selection I can find in the area. It’s great to have a Filipino dedicated aisle.
