The Kacchi Goat Biryani at Al-Amin is a must try. I do like the Chicken Biryani however nothing can beat the taste, aroma and tenderness of the Kacchi goat biryani. Melts in your mouth. Saturday is perhaps the only day the store makes it from scratch. 1:30 PM ET great time to stop by that’s when the handi opens. Restrooms available. Adjacent grocery store. To go boxes available too. Totally recommend.

We went to check out their famous beef tehari & morog polao! But unfortunately those were finished. So we ended up with plain rice, ruhi fish dopeaza, beef bhuna & daal! The foods were amazing. Had authentic Bangladeshi taste after a long long time. If anyone wants to try Bangladeshi cuisine, it’s a must go place! In Shaa Allah we’ll visit them again if we visit Atlanta 🙏

I recently visited this international grocery store and restaurant in Atlanta, and overall, it was a good experience. One of the highlights was the vibrant gathering of Bangladeshi people, which added to the authentic atmosphere. The store offers a variety of snacks, food, and fish that you can purchase. I would like to recommend a few brands that stood out to me: for Puffed rice (Muri), I enjoyed the G.R. Brand, and for Chanachur, both Sagar and Mejbani were great options. If you're a fan of cookies, I highly suggest trying the Tip Salted biscuits.

In terms of fresh produce, they had a selection of vegetables such as bottle gourd (lau), malabar spinach (pui shak), and Eddoe (mukhi). However, I deducted one star from my rating because some of the items were not as fresh as I had hoped. On the bright side, the mangoes, likely imported from Mexico, were of good quality.

One area where this store could improve is its Point of Sale system. It would be beneficial for them to update it with online ordering capabilities and a dedicated app. I noticed that other similar grocery stores in the area use ORO POS and Menugreat, allowing customers to place orders online. This upgrade would provide added convenience for shoppers.

The staff at the store were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They were willing to process chicken, beef, and fish without any additional charge, which was a nice gesture. While tipping is not mandatory, I would recommend showing your appreciation for their service.

Don't miss the opportunity to dine at their restaurant, especially for their Biriyani and Beef Tehari. Additionally, if you're a fan of Hilsha fish, I highly recommend trying their hilsha fish fry instead of cooking it yourself. Lastly, before leaving, make sure to indulge in their delicious milk tea.

Overall, this international grocery store and restaurant in Atlanta offers a great variety of products and a welcoming atmosphere. With a few updates, such as online ordering options, it has the potential to enhance the overall customer experience

I recently found out about this place and their biryani is great !
Flavor 10/10
Service 10/10

Edit: The spices are on point and the meats are properly seasoned, really like the fried onions too. (Having tried other biriyani places I always come back to this one)

Edit 4/19/24: Got the tikka and beef biriyani, everything on point and nothing has changed. 10/10

This hidden gem has delicious Bangladeshi food that was well worth the drive and wait. Their Tehari was outstanding. We also had their fuchkas, samosas, biriyani and fish dishes which were all finger licking good! We went back there 2 days in a row when we were in Atlanta. This is attached to pretty good Bangladesh grocery store that carried everything from fresh halal meat and Bangladeshi fish to spices, packaged food and sweets. This is our go-to place for delicious Bangladeshi food and Bangladeshi groceries whenever we go to Atlanta!

We tried a few different dishes and loved the tehari and morog polao most. The hazir biriyani was okay too. The prices are really low compared to the taste and they have a wide range of south asian grocery items and raw fish/meat items as well. Last but most importantly, very friendly people as you would expect from Bangladesh!

The best deshi food in Atlanta! I’m originally from Bangladesh and this is the closest deshi food I’ve had here in the states. Their kacchi biryani, beef tehari, beef biryani and chicken roast are amazing and a must try!

Naan couldn't have been made better. Perfect. Every single. Piece. Very impressive on the consistency.
Chicken Curry was great. I've had curry from literally all over the world. It's absolutely great.
The goat Biryani was a first for me. Given by everything else I had it probably set the standard very high for all the others I try in the future. Nonetheless it was awesome too. Nothing was dry in the slightest. Only thing that could improve would be drinks that come from India my favorite is fruit juices we had in Afghanistan in 13'. Mango or pineapple .. cough.. cou...

This review is for the restaurant.

No frills, straight to the point, goodness. We go here for their butter chicken and garlic naan 🫓 my friend said that the lamb curry was flavorful.

I was visiting ATL and since I am from a small city with limited 'desi' kitchens, it occurred to me that if any place would have it would be ATL .. I zero'ed in to Al-Amin and glad i did .. khameeri roti (naan) and bhuna chicken was perfect .. chicken dum biryani was good but didn't make it to the curry .. ordered raita on side .. it was a little less but very nice ..

I wish my stay was longer and could have eaten one more time .. so, until next time :)

I love this place. Employees are very friendly. You can get authentic Bangladeshi food and groceries. They make both Kacchi Biryani and Hajir Biryani but on different date, I suggest to call them before to know which one. They have comfortable parking and pray area.

Tried chicken samosas and weekend special biriyani. So authentic and tasty. Fuchka was ok. Nothing special. But not bad either. Gonna try other appetizers next time.

To die for. That’s it. We’ve been here twice in a month and I’m salivating to go again. The fact that it’s a hole-in-the-wall makes it more attractive, in my book. Love, love, love this place.

Best tehari in USA! Nice people both in market and restaurant.

Update (October 2021):
Food quality has deteriorated drastically. Very disappointing since we have been fans of Alamin for a long time.
