The food was top notch here! I am definitely coming back and will also be recommending it to everyone! I had the crab cakes with a strawberry salad and hash brown casserole which was amazing!! Quite honestly the best crab cakes I've eaten. The rest of my family also loved their meals apart from my youngest child who ordered a grilled cheese from the kids menu which didn't look great. However, everything from the main menu was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back there!

This is my new favorite spot!! The food is amazing and the service even better! I had the fried green tomato salad and crab cakes... Even the slaw was delicious!! The atmosphere was so peaceful, and I truly felt prioritized! I can't wait to go back!!

This place is fantastic! The outside isn't fancy but they have what I would call an executive chef. The food is all fresh made and unique. Fried green tomatoes and the salad dressing was out of this world! We met Andre who was our server and had a great conversation. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!

Rico's World Kitchen has been a vital part of the historical downtown Buford restaurant scene for many years. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. The menu has something for every picky palate.
The fried green tomatoes are a simple appetizer. Seasoned to perfection. They just need to be left in the fryer for a little bit longer to cook them throughout.

The smoked chicken Cuban has been on the menu for years. If the mojo sauce was heated a bit, like au jus for a French Dip it would make that dish even better.

This is me and my family’s absolute favorite restaurant. I can’t tell you how many times we have been in and enjoy it every last time . Absolutely Everything on the menu is great as well as the special’s. They really have a great system going I love seeing the same smiling faces everyone is so welcoming and makes you feel right at home I can’t say enough about this place.

My first time to Rico’s was delicious!! I got the special burger of the day with pork belly and my mouth exploded with flavor! Literally one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had. By the way I purposely asked for medium rare and that’s why the patty is pink in the picture (I love it that way). The fried green tomatoes were amazing, and the hash brown casserole was so good too! I will definitely be back. Great atmosphere and super accommodating servers. Wonderful experience all around!

I had a fantastic time celebrating my son's birthday with family during lunch. This hidden gem nestled in the old downtown of Buford pleasantly surprised me with its authenticity and gourmet offerings, crafted by a passionate chef. Today, we indulged in their lunch specials; I savored the meatloaf while my family enjoyed the Taco Salad and hamburgers. The fried Green tomatoes was great as a starter. I discovered that they announce their daily lunch/dinner specials 30 minutes before opening on Facebook, a testament to their confidence in the quality of service and dishes they provide. The restaurant's decor, adorned with maps of various places around the world, added to the pleasant atmosphere, and the service was impeccable.

Finally had a chance to have a meal at Ricos World Kitchen and oh what a delicious meal it was. Came here for lunch with my wife and though they were busy we were seated right away. This place is popular and from the experience we had I can easily see why this is a popular spot. Our waitress Mercedes was excellent and very friendly throughout our entire meal. She let us know of the daily specials and was very helpful throughout our entire meal. She even brought us some sweet potato chips which were excellent and we will probably order those over the regular potato chips next time. Our meal consisted of the Royal Rooster, Shrimp Po Boy, Fried Green Tomatoes and a sampling of Sweet Potato Chips. Everything was cooked to perfection and I can see why they are rated so highly online. The ambiance of the restaurant while busy is very relaxing and the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable.

Overall I give Ricos World Kitchen 5 stars for service, food, price, and hospitality.

First time trying Rico’s World kitchen- came on a Tuesday at 11 and watched it quickly fill up. So pleasantly surprised- American would never be my first cuisine choice- got the lumpia that was light and airy and even though it was fried didn’t make you feel gross. Got the burger which was a special also light and airy ground in house with brisket, pork belly and beef chuck. So darn good I couldn’t stop eating it. Can’t wait to come back and try the dinner menu!

This was a great Yelp find when driving from GA to SC. Fresh food with some incredible flavors. We got there 20 minutes before daily specials were announced so we ordered off the menu. (We overheard the specials from the table that sat down beside us 10 minutes later. Bummer. The blacked mahi mahi sounded delish.) However, our meal was great. Smoked, shredded chicken cuban sandwich for me. Fresh and crispy bread, flavorful chicken, and dipping au jus. My wife had the house salad with grilled shrimp and their homemade balsamic dressing. Our waiter was efficient and very friendly (although he never shared his name with us so we can't give him a shout out). Food prep took a little bit longer than expected for the time of day (4:30pm) and only a few tables seated but not so much as to ruin our meal. And when it was served, it was hot! As we were leaving, the parking lot was filling up and the place was hopping.

We ordered a Country Boil that Rico’s offered as a fund raiser for a local Buford GA boy with AML. They provided instructions on how to cook our country boil. As I knew they would be, the ingredients were top notch. Crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and seasonings. Thank you Rico’s for the great food, but most of all thank you for helping those in your community.

I’ve heard that this place was good from many people but they didn’t say it was THIS good! Love the decor of the pictures of the world and the laid back vibe. My group of 5 had a variety of items but the Royal Rooster chicken sandwich, fried green tomatoes, corned beef, chicken Cuban and firecracker shrimp were amazing! I personally had the Royal Rooster which was seasoned well and had a nice level of spice with the habanero sauce. I will definitely be going back!

Rico’s might be the hands-down best restaurant in Buford. It’s hard to beat this place when they continually have great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I’ve been here for lunch & for church events and I can say with confidence that it rocks. The staff are wonderful & it’s a place you have to go to!

Truly enjoyed this restaurant.
The sangria was delicious and I will be back for more of those. The fried green tomatoes were pretty good, the steak dish was great, the po boys were awesome and the salmon and grits were impeccable. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Our party sat on the patio and it was a bit cold so the server turned on the heat for us.

Had a great dinner here with friends. Chef recommended the apps and entrees, was spot on. Everything was delicious and fresh, all the dishes had something interesting about them that helped them stand out from usual restaurant fare. Service was prompt and friendly. We will be back! Kudos to the chef!

I have had the pleasure of eating Rico’s fine cuisine since he was back behind the Mall of Georgia in a little shop mostly doing catering. How his legend has grown is impressive. My wife and I are regulars at his Brunch Apothecary, but the OG Rico’s World Kitchen will always be #1. The food and flavor are on different levels, and the prices always reasonable. You’ll never have to worry about portion size, because you will be filled up. Rico’s kind mother still bakes some awesome desserts, if you have room. Take it home then, it’ll be very worth it. It’s a great atmosphere in an old antique gas station in downtown Buford. Eat there…often!

Pro tip: Park down the street; do t even bother trying to park at the restaurant.

Probably the best lunch value in all of Buford and surrounding cities. And $4 beers. Wow.

Rico's World Kitchen is a fantastic family-owned restaurant. They have a great menu filled with an assortment of dishes that will satisfy any palate. The Nett's Lumpia appetizer is delicious. Also, I heard about their Cheeseburger and ordered it? WOW! I would definitely recommend it. Get the sweet potato tots, and you won't go wrong. Great service and nice atmosphere. Go get it!

The specials are different everyday ( you can view them on their Facebook page). It's always exciting to see what's new on the menu! The sandwiches are pretty good too. The patio is small and a little run down but I think that adds to the charm. The wait is a little long too but you can always expect the food to be fresh and tasty. Very unique place, you can tell the owners love what they do.

Always a great time at Rico’s! My favorite is their Ham Brie and Apricot sandwich. Also really like the mango cake, and tried the sweet potato tots for the first time. Anything they make is absolutely delicious!
