Great place to eat and great environment. The staff are friendly and provide awesome service. The hostess is quick to seat you and provide you with utensil's and a menu. Bartenders are awesome and fast to pour your drinks. Overall great service! Will always come back!

It was our first time in the restaurant, the atmosphere was very good.
The waiters were very attentive, the food was very tasty, like homemade.

Was in Buford for a festival and looking for great Mexican close by to meet friends. One suggested Maria's so off we went. There is plenty of parking and a great location across from the Community Center. We were just after the lunch crowd, and it was busy but not packed, and no wait. The service was excellent. Our server made suggestions and kept our chips and salsa full. While we looked over the menu, I noticed the prices are a good $3-4 higher than most mexican restaurants I frequent. It is Gwinnett, so very likely higher everything. Our neighboring table got their food, which looked amazing. The slasa is fresh and chunky, almost Pico style, and the chips are thin and crispy. I ordered the make your own combo with a chicken soft taco and chicken burrito with beans and rice. It was really good. One friend ordered the fajita quesadilla, and one ordered the chimichanga with black beans. We all enjoyed our lunch. Again, we found the service was excellent. Noticed a lot of families and larger groups coming in. Would definitely recommend and go again if in the area.

My wife had the tempequena and I had the camarones al ajillo. The food and service were fantastic.

I ordered the habenero sauce which is typically hotter but was spicy enough.

i had great time eating here! i really enjoyed the music my server was soo nice and friendly. The food was amazing i had the shrimp poblano asado it was to die for. i will be returning for moreeee !! 😋😋

FINALLY!! A great Mexican spot in Gwinnett!!

I think this place is new. Located near Buford High and City Hall. Very nice decor, with several TVs on. The service was top notch. Drinks were filled often (Coke products, they brought new glasses each time).

Now for the food. The chips and salsa were solid: good texture, good flavor. The kids meal options were plentiful and came with a drink. My kids got hot dogs and fries, and the fries are actually better than any fast food place. My wife got the Arroz Con Pollo, and she loved it! To put that in perspective, we've gone to 10 different Mexican places in the 17 months we've lived in Georgia, and this is the first time she's loved the food! Everything else has been mediocre. I got the Ultimate Fajita Quesadilla, which had grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, carnitas and chorizo. Pics included. Yeah, it was awesome!

All in all, this is our new favorite spot. Next time, we're trying their fried ice cream which looked amazing.

Delicious food and a great frozen Texas Margarita. Great atmosphere and excellent service from my beautiful server, Karen. I highly recommend the Special Burrito and Black Beans!

The bartender, Karen, apart from being the nicest one ever and really friendly. She recommended me her favorite drink and we had a pretty good talk. Atmosphere was okay, and food as well but let me tell you… the drinks were amazing. If you go to Maria’s, you HAVE TO ask to get sat at the bar with Karen! This girl is the best!
