Colombo's Cafe & Tavern

I am so mad at myself. Once again, I have discovered an outstanding restaurant, that was only 2.3 miles from my house, after I have moved out of STL. If I had eaten here while I lived in STL, I would have been a regular.

A friends band was playing at Colombo's, so that is how I discovered them this past Saturday. We got there early to get our "band groupie" table. When I saw their extensive craft beer list, I knew it was a cold beer night. I was impressed with the local selection of brews that also included regional and statewide breweries.

I was torn between a burger and wings. So, I went to Yelp and checked out the pictures, to help me decide. Wings was the winner and it truly was a, Winner, Winner, Wing Dinner. Actually, these were some of the best wings I've had in a longtime. There was no breading, the skin was crispy and the hot sauce was spot on. It had just the right amount of heat and wasn't too messy.

The ambiance is casual and very relaxing. There was only one waitress and she was hustling and doing an amazing job. The bar was packed and she remained very even keel. She was friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of.

When I'm over in STL running errands, I'll be returning for more wings and to try one of their burgers.After several return visits, to enjoy more of their outstanding chicken wings and fries, I finally came back and tried a burger. OMG - they are equally as good as their wings. Colombo's definitely serves up some delicious bar grub.

I am a big fan of jalapeños, so it was an easy choice of what burger to select for my lunch. The Lava Burger, with its fried jalapeños, bacon and caramelized onions on top of a 1/2 lb. burger with a smear of chipotle mayo was the winner.

The kitchen crew prepared it to my medium rare request perfectly. The toppings blended together and added so much flavor, that I didn't even miss having cheese on my burger. My fries were super crisp and lightly salted. Dipping them in some ketchup made them the perfect side for my burger.

Colombo's has a good variety of draft beers with the majority of them be craft beers. They also, make good cocktails if that if your preferred adult beverage. The service is attentive and friendly, it has never disappointed me.

Craving burgers and wings? I'd recommend, Colombo's.

First time going and was really impressed. Bartender ran the entire show while keeping everyone beyond satisfied. Food was delicious and atmosphere was great.

I seriusly enjoy the food. The food is definitely unlike any bar food.. every dish comes out of that kitchen like somebody was really proud of what they do. The portions are huge. I Very rarely drink but I love. Columbus bar for the food. The atmosphere and the people.

. Every member of staff from owners to waitresses ate very friendly folk...love the place...

Had a wonderful group lunch with friends. The menu offered many original dishes and appetizers and it all tasted wonderful. The wings were large,delicious and priced right. The staff were very accommodating to our large group. Will definitely go back.

What a good place to go. Take 5 min have collusion and enjoy great food and drinks.

Phenomenal food for a bar. The Rocking Rooster is one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. Food prices are super cheap and they have great drink specials. Also, the music they play is fantastic. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good bar to chill at with friends and there are plenty of TVs for watching sports. Only down side was the music was too loud and it was hard to hear conversation. Solid classic STL style hang out.

Great bar. Great food. That electronic jukebox thing. Accommodating for smokers with small heated outdoor patio. Mix of people with a bit more maturity than that Pub to the East and definitely great friendly service.

Good food , had a burger and a few beers, great burger, large selection of beer on tap , really nice people , I'll be going back .

Jen is the best bartender. Love colombos been coming here since we could smoke inside love the pool table downstairs.love the food ESP on St pats day. I come here every St pats tho I love many Irish bars this is my fav.I wrote this post to say tho I appreciate the outside patio for smokers SO MUCH I smoke when I drink and in the winter its brutal but I always enjoy Colombo's. I hope the owners and managers see this as I really appreciate this place keep it goin!

The bartenders say "Hello!" as soon as you walk in. The service is prompt & friendly. The food is beyond words (I highly recommend the veggie pizza.) Drink specials every night make me a frequent weekly customer. Pinball (only a quarter per game!) & jukebox upstairs, pool & foozball downstairs. They also have a full service money center where you can cash your check for really cheap (1.5% I do believe.) Gotta love Colombo's!

Local tavern/cozy hole in the wall kind of place. DD friendly with free refills on sodas.(Do not understand places that keep charging.) My Scifi group has game nights and other events in their lower room. Music can get a little loud, but its not bad in the lower area and loud music is kind of par for the course in most bars anyway.

I vote Colombo's Tavern and Grill number 1 Pizza Pie in St.Louis it's phenomenal.This is not your ordinary bar food this is delicately crafted awesome flavorful food some of the best in St Louis give it a try you'll be glad you did

Great food and fast way to cash your paycheck get great food and head home or stay and have a good night drinking with friends. All around awesome place to hang out

Had a delightful lunch with my sister and our dogs. Good food, friendly waitress (she took the photo), and a pet menu!

Very nice staff owners on site very great family owned bar and grill food is awesome and there is a daily food and drink special.

Awesome selection of food and variety. Would more than likely come back and show it my visiting friends from out of town.
