My elderly neighbor loves his new custom height mattress set. As a repeat customer, I find John and his crew to be low-pressure, kind, and very helpful. I will continue to explain to others to buy locally, especially for a mattress.

Recently bought a new mattress from John and Justin at maplewood mattress. They definitely go above and beyond for your needs and are very great people to work with. What a great and easy buying experience. I was in need of a new mattress and didn’t want to go to the typical chain stores to get one. I found out about Maplewood Mattress and loved that it is local and that each and every mattress sold is handmade with local materials. I always enjoy supporting local businesses and this business is superb. It was extremely easy to make the purchase and about a week later my mattress was made and delivered with ease. The owner is extremely friendly and gave me a great price for such a high quality handmade mattress. Aside from the customer service, this mattress is straight from heaven. I had the best sleep of my life on this mattress and don’t know how I can ever live without it. It is truly life-changing having a high quality mattress to sleep on after a long day of work. It feels luxurious and comfortable. 100% would recommend that anyone looking for a mattress go here.

Bought a bed today. I cannot tell you the relief you experience when you go in and there isn't a sales person chatting you up, watching you lay in beds, and trying to push a sale. The owner, John, was there but stayed at a desk doing his own thing, just being available. He answered a couple of questions I had and then let me try things out at my own pace. Zero pressure at all. Found a bed I ended up loving and paying a fraction of the price I would have at a chain store. Would reccomend to anyone who needs new mattress and doesn't want to leave the store feeling like they got taken for a ride.

We bought a queen from them a few years ago and came back for a king recently. They are great and they’re mattresses are cheaper and better than anything else we’ve had. Could not be happier!

This is the most straight forward, honest, and fair-priced mattress store in St. Louis and is the Only place we buy our mattresses from. They hand make these first class products and will show you the process and vast difference between them and the "box" stores. Their kind, informative, and caring approach to customer service is first class, and that includes not only John the owner, but Justin and their entire staff! Very friendly and honest sales people at this hole-in-the-wall combination mattress factory and showroom. (Friendly dog too!) This is one of the few mattress stores that has been straightforward about what is inside the mattress without a bunch of hyped-up marketing. The absence of any prices on their website might lead you to believe they are expensive, but actually prices are very reasonable and quality vs price value is superior to average! Did not end up buying from here because latex selection was limited, but highly recommend anyone looking for an inner spring or hybrid mattress take the time to shop at Maplewood Mattress.

John delivered the new mattress we ordered for our handicapped daughter, seeing what she already had (which we got from them) he said the new mattress would not work and would not sell it to us. He told us how to tweak the old mattress which is working out perfectly. You will not find a more honest company!

We bought a very nice "plug & play" latex mattress and we love it. The customer service went above and beyond to make sure we got the right mattress. Justin and John were very informative and accommodating, and I love having the ability to select and stack different layers of thickness and firmness. This is an unassuming little shop but I can't recommend them highly enough.

Bought 4 mattresses from Maplewood Custom Bedding. Fantastic service. Quality beds. One of the few that still makes a 2 sided mattress, remember those? The kind that you can flip instead of just spin? Several different types and a warranty that is second to none. If you live anywhere near St. Louis, you owe it to yourself to buy from these guys. They are the best.

The staff here are very helpful! The owner really takes the time to explain the product and figure out your needs! We ended up buying two mattresses for our home, they even came over to measure our staircase to ensure the box spring and mattress would fit up the steps. They custom made our box-springs just for our needs. We would highly recommend this place for your next mattress!

I have passed Maplewood Bedding many times, but always thought a custom mattress would be prohibitively expensive. Finally, we decided to go in. Wow! Was I wrong! We bought a hand-crafted mattress and box spring that is well made, flippable and just the firmness we were looking for. No high-pressure sales tactics!!! Built and delivered to our home in about a week, as promised. We’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and we love it.

I was shopping for a memory foam mattress back in the early summer. After stopping in at all the big shops, I stopped in and test out their mattresses. I was amazed to find they build all their mattresses by hand and on sight (the owner gave me a tour of the entire facility). I tested out the mattresses and I was very impressed with the quality and feel. The prices were more than competitive, roughly $200-400 less than what I feel was equitable model of a "nation-wide" brand. I wanted to wait several months before reviewing the mattress. I have to admit I am incredibly pleased. Never have I slept better. The quality and look of the mattress is equal if not superior to mid-range/lower-highend range memory foam mattresses.

The customer service was great, he built the bed to my specifications of comfort and size. I alsot came with a good warranty.

We needed our old couch cushions to be replaced with new foam...took the old cushions to Mattress Wholesale/Maplewood Bedding and could not be more pleased with the results! The folks here were awesome, so friendly and professional. Gave us good advice and a fair price for the job. Would recommend them 100%!

My Son was looking for a new mattress. We went to 4 other stores to price the mattress here wanted. Then we went to Mattress Wholesale in Maplewood, found the mattress he wanted, priced cheaper than anyone else & because we lived in Maplewood, he gave us free shipping & free pick-up of the old mattress. On top of that, all of the people we worked with, from the salesman to the delivery people, were all extremely friendly & accommodating. We will definitely go back when I need a new mattress!!!

Amazing customer service and advice. We were in the market for a crib mattress and the amount of reviews you find on name brand crib mattresses was over whelming. They had built a custom mattress for a relative in a crib size no longer sold for a great price so we gave them a call. I provided them with the measurements the crib manufacturer had recommended and they helped me decide how thick and what materials we wanted. When we received the mattress, it didn't fit snugly into the frame even though it was the recommended dimensions... we should have measured the frame instead. We called and they said, no problem, bring it in and we'll add more material to make it snug. They did so at no additional cost. Not only was the crib reasonably priced, it was made locally! Purely awesome service! Bonus: some adorable showroom friends to greet you at the door!

I've been looking for a new mattress for a while and dreaded going to one of those commercial mattress shops with the annoying salesman. A patient of mine recommended this place. Locally owned and they make the mattresses there! Great prices and customer service! Very knowledgable and not pushy. I'm very pleased with my new mattress!
