Get ready to treat yourself!!! Sydney Street has some of the best constructed dishes in the city and is now my go to for entertaining visitors. Their staff walks you through the selection and daily offerings and really takes the time to explain the flavor profiles. We started with veal dumplings and drinks (their scotch list has some quality pours) and then tried the duck confit, the Maccheroni, the broccoli salad and their amazing rolls. The atmosphere is classy and cozy with some great decor. It really feels special every time I dine here and I highly recommend giving them a try.

Pro tip: Make sure to reserve a spot ahead of time!!

Somehow I forgot to review SSC when I ate here a few months ago, which is weird because I tell everyone how great it was.

The ambiance here is very nice and the service is fantastic. But of course the food is the driving force here. The beef tartare was an awesome and unique appetizer that you'll only see at a high end place. The broccoli salad was excellent and presented beautifully. The duck was by far the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked on the inside with an amazing crunch and sauce on the outside. The chicken and pasta were also both great.

I keep a list of restaurants in St Louis to try, from burger places to high end establishments. Sidney Street Cafe will remain at the top of that list and I'll be back for sure.

This was one of the best places I have ever been. The food was absolutely top notch and the service was fantastic. The kale and smoked chicken rigatoni was simply amazing. The halibut was fantastic too, as was the awesome beef cheek with parsnip puree. This was followed by some amazing desserts, my favorite being a phenomenal macaroon. What an amazing night, and this place played a huge part in that.

We had the most special evening at Sidney Street! We lived in the neighborhood 20 years ago and we have had many great memories and meals here. We made it back last night for a nostalgic meal. Everything was just perfect down to the last detail. The iconic chalkboard menu, featuring the lobster turnovers was STILL here! Our server Alyssa was the sweetest and had an amazing friendly way about, so helpful and she sent over the nicest surprise at the end of the meal, The comfy atmosphere, the vibey energy, the exquisite food and the chic drink menu and the fabulous wine selection all make Sidney Street a FAVORITE that has stood the test of time. Thank you THANK YOU ! We will be back sooner than 20 years 💓🌟🙌🏻

Found this restaurant after hitting up a pop-up event at Lemp's Grand Hall. Lovely place in Benton Park. We tried the brisket and halibut, along with cocktails. Appetizer was phenomenal, a type of crab puff pastry. Recommend making same day reservations as it was fairly busy.

This place was incredible. My wife and I had such an amazing time and the food was so delicious. Jason was the icing on the cake. He was so knowledgeable and friendly which really made everything that much better. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

This place is upscale without being pretentious, and the food is phenomenal. I live relatively far away and it's worth the drive. The veal dumplings and lobster turnovers are a must. They serve beignets instead of dinner rolls for a starter, and they are very addictive. You can tell that every dish was crafted with love and care, and the taste reflects that. It's always a treat to come here.

amazing food and service! i had a party of 14 birthday dinner here, and the staff were so accommodating and sweet. they kept the kitchen open and stayed late, which made the whole event feel more special. the food is phenomenal as well—i can’t recommend this place enough!

I haven't ever done this, but I liked it so much, I went back the next night to eat there again! If you can, get their tartare, and order the polenta with whatever else is going to make you happy. Either (or both) salad and soup (creamy and flavorful squash soup! Amen!) will make you glad you chose them. The brisket is smoky and falls apart in the very best way. The scallops are tender and tasty. The dessert items and accompanying libations are a wonderful and worth it splurge. On your own, or a small party without a reservation? Try sitting at the bar, where the bartenders are ready with interesting conversation and insightful menu suggestions. 11/10 on a scale of 10.

⭐Delectable, Decadent, Delicious! 😋 (D³)⭐

This was probably one of the BEST meals I've ever had. Kudos to the chef, kitchen staff, owner, bartender... basically the entire staff/establishment. For those that have not tried this amazing spot in downtown STL, I very highly recommend! 👌 🙌

Was able to make same day reservations for my group of six this past weekend and we had the best experience. All of the food was phenomenal and our server was exceptional and made excellent recommendations. Our favorites were the lobster turnovers, venison dumplings, and duck sausage pasta. Highly recommend reservations.

My husband and I visited here last night for our anniversary and as I've heard, it's def one of the most romantic restaurants in St. Louis. The price is high, but if you're looking for somewhere special to celebrate your special day, this is a good option. Everyone was really nice and friendly. They offered us a free dessert for our anniversary. I would love to visit again in the future.

We actually visit here every anniversary now! Definitely recommend lobster turnovers and a side of brussel sprouts.

One of the finest culinary experiences in STL! Nestled near Benton park/ Soulard area - a nondescript building from outside but as soon as you enter, the brick walls, the bar area and stand and can lighting will appeal sophistication. We had Westley as server and he was 5 star all the way. They have elaborate wine and liquor selection and they can even make some great mock tails on the fly. It’s cozy atmosphere but very good utilization of space and service is fast. You won’t go wrong with Lobster turnover or Veal dumplings for starters. Entree and A la carte dishes have great choices - if you are going for A la carte dish then a salad (try the apple salad- it was one of the most delicious part of the meal) or soup and side dish is highly recommended as portion sizes are small - but love the plating! Don’t skip the desert menu and if you are adventurous go for the Espresso martin. Definitely coming here again!!

Outstanding food and every component of it, the cook, texture, sauces, etc were well executed. Awesome service too. Ask for Mary. I drank probably 5 waters and every time I looked over they were refilling it which was indicative of how attentive they were to the guests!
