I had a tricky case, and the team here has worked together to not only help my local medical team but to ensure I know I am cared for as a person. When local drs didn't know what to do, Mayo's stepped in and knew exactly what was needed. I feel comfortable and safe with every person on my medical team. I know that they are why I am okay. This place is an absolute blessing. God is in every corner, and the medical team goes above and beyond. You are listened to and valued, and you are helped.

Best Healthcare System, our local hospitals could be like this. They pay by surgery at local hospitals, our local hospitals couldn't have handled my case .Mitra prolapse valve, plus a few other problems they came upon while repair. Robotic surgery 4 hrs. Feeling great at 41/2 weeks now. No special case. Just make the phone call. So impressed with this hospital. Will never go to our local hospitals for any major surgery. Dr's very kind & listen. Your test results are given to you that day. Very organized System.

The Mayo Clinic is such a special place! It’s a medical facility that could also be a museum of art museum, history, and architecture. People travel from all over the world to be treated here, but what makes it truly special are the compassionate, skilled, and dedicated employees. I stood outside the Mayo Building and watched bus after bus pull up to the staff entrance - and watched countless everyday heroes get off those buses and go to work performing “miracles” at a place that provides hope to people who need it most.

The parking is a bit of a nightmare if you go in the morning. Luckily I’m not a morning person anymore. Excellent doctors, clean with state of the art equipment, free wheelchair service, drop off area out front, very thorough and you’ll have a whole team taking care of your needs.

We met Dr Yong- Mei-Cha for a consultation for my Dad this morning. She is the most knowledgeable, patient, absolutely brilliant doctor we have ever had the good fortune to meet. We went from Wisconsin and were hoping to upgrade my Dad’s pacemaker. We have great experiences in the UW Madison hospital but Dr Cha is no doubt the best in the world. To be in her presence, we felt that her knowledge is beyond comparison. She spent a good one hour with us and was showing no rush. We are so grateful for this meeting and feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Before this meeting, we were sure that my Dad required a third wire for his pacemaker but the
in depth information that Dr Cha gave us, changed our minds. Thank you Dr Cha. You are amazing. Thank you to everyone at Mayo Clinic. You definitely deserve the number one ranking. My Dad’s name is Sukhbir Dhillon and he shares this opinion.

I grew up surrounded by hospital, my parents were in the medical field. I can honestly say that no hospital has ever treated my family kinder than the Mayo.

Not only are they kind but their quality of care is unmatched. Their efficiency is a marvel. All of our appointments are scheduled and coordinated together. It is beyond impressive.

Every doctor we visited around the country gave a dire prognosis for my wife. I won’t go into details here, but suffice it so say that after her treatments here there are no residual issues. Where everyone else said she may die, or be paralyzed, the Mayo left her at 100%. We are forever grateful.

When this review is finished it will likely be the longest I have written. The services and the healthcare here is second to none as they claim Best in the Nation. I can see why in 3 days I saw 10 clinicians and had 20 x-rays, the most intrinsically detailed ultrasound work on my GI than any other docs I have seen previously. Mayo discovered more abnormalities than others and ran tests that they commented, "should have been done by prior internists." All that and they failed to put fear in me. I guess what I'm saying is they are so professional in every aspect. I want to come back every year and live to 100!

Even though you aren’t recognized by name but by the patient’s Mayo Clinic ID’s #. The moment anyone is registers in any of the Mayo Clinics they assign you an ID number which is unique. So you better recorder it because you’ll be needed it everywhere and ( hopefully not) if whichever reason you go back. It’s valid in any Mayo Clinic in the USA. They save all your medical records, including all the tests and images they have taking from you, your insurance company and records, and other info concerning your health. The staff people are polite and helpful. It’s important for anyone to consider this, basically the city of Rochester is the Mayo Clinic “campus”. The customers of the Restaurants and businesses are the people who work in the Clinic and the patients and/or their families. On weekends, Rochester is a ghost city, because most of the people who work at the clinic live in suburbs so you’ll see the city empty. It’s a great clinic to me, they saved my father’s life.

Great institution. It’s simply amazing how they manage to treat so many patients, coordinate appointments, work hand in hand with specialized drs, and dig deeper to find the cause of your problem. Don’t get me wrong, not every doctor is perfect. But most are above average. When it comes to pricing , it is also above average . Way above. If your insurance doesn’t cover it, don’t even walk in there. Any 30 min visit ranges from $400-900 per doctor. Plus dozens of blood exams, xrays, scans etc that may range from hundreds for a simple data point to 2k for a CT scan. At least they offer cost estimates upon request . A double jaw surgery estimated at Mayo came

Rochester Minnesota is the city of Compassion and is blessed, the Mayo Clinic was started by nuns and is historically a combination of science and spirituality working together! This hospital saved my moms life! Thank you.

Traveled to Mayo Clinic for esophageal surgery. The appointments were well organized and effective. Spent six weeks there and have had very good results from the surgery and am doing well. Mayo Clinic did for me what no one else could have done. Still healing but getting better every day.

We were at Vanderbilt before transferring to Mayo. This has been an amazing experience! It’s like it’s a requirement is to be super nice; Vanderbilt, not so much. I would recommend anyone to come here, and I’m so glad we chose to switch. The doctors, nurses, and even the staff (cafeteria, welcome center, etc) were by far nicer than Vanderbilt. They are so knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. Very impressed!

The Mayo Clinic was an amazing experience for my sister. The team at Mayo was incredibly nice, patient and talented. Dr. Smoot was a fantastic surgeon, highly specialized, empathetic and skilled. I couldn't speak highly enough of the team here. They also have put so much thought into making the experience easy for out-of-town visitors with the underground subway etc.

The 1st time I went there was a turbanectomy for my mom. They were very informative and did a absolutely amazing job. The 2nd time I went there was for my mom, as she was having hip replacement surgery for her left hip. The nursing staff were very helpful and friendly, as well as very professional in taking care of her while she was in the hospital. She healed very well.

I was very pleased by my first visit at the Mayo clinic with my mom a week ago. We came for an orthopedic consultation. Everyone was very friendly, approachable and professional. Our questions were answered and more tests were ordered, we will be going back next week again. For the huge medical center as it is, it appeared very organized. More to come when we complete more tests.

Unquestionably the best hospital in the world. Patient focused, very empathetic and caring. After a 10 hour spine operation thanked God and all the caring workers at the Mayo Clinic for bringing me back to earth in the best way possible. The nurses are saints and love their work, every test was well organized and updated in the Mayo App, I couldn’t speak more high of this hospital it’s staff it’s people it’s equipment and it’s facilities. It’s no wonder it’s been rated number one in the United States for several years.

Mayo Clinic and Hospitals are Amazing. The Staff goes above and beyond for your care! Facilities are amazingly spotless!! Well maintained!! The food is awful, really, really terrible!! Lol, in both Hospitals. I had a brief stay at Charter House after 1 of my many surgeries at Mayo, and their food was delicious on most days unless they served that nasty turkey roll they think older adults like. Lol
I will travel 2500 miles any day for my medical care at Mayo Clinic.

My wife has been going to Mayo for over 15 yrs. Her medical history is complicated. Doctors at home were afraid to do even routine surgeries on her, except a heart surgeon who said he needed to "open her up immediately!" Her local internal medical doctor was wise enough to say she should be seen by a team of specialists first.
Three major surgeries later, she is living with her blood cancer, has a stable heart WITHOUT surgery, and is up and moving with multiple replaced artificial joints. Every time she gets thrown a loop without answers locally, she turns back to Mayo. They have been excellent!
This year is the first time we have had to wait for a surgery or been unable to see a department we thought might help. Mayo's Long Haul Covid appointments are so full, that she couldn't be seen. Instead she was seen by a neurologist for the symptoms. Our experience, not only at Mayo, but in our home and neighboring state this year have all been that waiting months on non-urgent matters is the new norm. Everywhere is short staffed, short on hospital rooms, booked way out for surgeries, imaging, etc.
Mayo's patient portal on line has thorough records she can share with local physicians. Mayo makes tremendous efforts to schedule as many specialists appointments and tests as they can fit into the week or two we are there. They work in tandem with our small local hospital if other tests are needed or can be done faster at home. They always get back to us with their interpretations and recommendations. The 1500 mile drive yearly has kept her going strong!

Had a very good experience in the hospital and clinic staff is very considerate and caring about your needs. Some still needs a little training but overall very caring. ❤
