Carondelet Park

Nice place to take a walk or go fishing at the large pond. A December morning in Carondelet Park. 12/2/23.

Great park in the middle of South City. Wonderful loop paved walking/running trail around the perimeter of the park. Picturesque lake and pavillion in the center. Lots of parking. Great option to get some some time with nature without leaving the city. Also have pickelball courts, a playground, horseshoe pits, and fishing in the lake.

I grew up near this park and have many good memories in relation to it. I joined my first t-ball team as a young child and played my first game in this park. I was so young that when I ran to 1st base I passed it by and instead ran to my parents on the sidelines. Other memories I have include feeding the ducks after church with my father and as I got older taking my siblings to play frisbee on the weekends. The reality is nowadays in the evening after dark I wish it was patrolled better by police because there seems to be a lot of shenanigans going on. I would hate for anything to happen to this park. I also greatly appreciate the good neighborhoods that surround it... It is without question my favorite park for walking my dogs.

Beautiful here, great place to spend time and just read. I like setting my hammock up in spring and summer and enjoying the outdoors. There's a gorgeous lake with docks, and it's fun to watch people fish and gaze at the ducks.

I love it. Great place to get some fresh air and for taking picture. There's some trash here and there (not a big deal) should be easy to clean. Great for fishing too!

City compost and mulch pile. Compoat omes from the green waste dumpsters, and if you've ever looked in yours you know that not everyone respects what should go in, so there tends to be bits of plastics, electric components, and glass. I recommend the wood mulch, however, because that is generally from the city mulching the greens and limbs it cuts down or gathers after a storm, so it's usually much more reliable to be "clean." Bring your own shovel and containers.

A fantastic park in deep South City. In most towns this would be considered a primo park, but due to the other great urban parks in STL, Carondelet is an unfortunately third banana. Unless there is an event going on, this is the most tame of the big three. Very relaxing with a lot of space to spread out.

Two fantastic lakes in this park. Boat Lake is your typical urban lake lined by a sidewalk with a beautiful boat house on the Eastern side. Horseshoe Lake is much more rustic with only a few paved paths along the rim.

Paved trails run throughout, but there is also a ton of green ways you can stroll. Soccer and softball fields with a few playgrounds thrown in. The mansions on the north side of the park are worth a look.

really pretty park :) a lot of fun walking around and going around on bikes >:) a little rough where there a huge trees and places where you can fall down a hill but just stay careful and you'll be ok :) tenis court and the ymca is right next by !! :)

Its absolutely beatful!! My boyfriend and I decided to check this place out its a little curvy trying to find once your in Crondelet Park but its there. We went to fish and it was huge area all we caught were little carp but it was the experience of it. I'll send a video of it. Enjou

Amazing facility, no wait for equipment, clean clean clean. Staff is very friendly. Can't wait for the outdoor pool to open!

I always love going to this Park. There's a couple little lakes and people fish too. I like the different areas you can park at and enjoy the park.

Carondelet is a beautiful landscape that adds a great amount of character to Holly Hills. You get a variety of gathering places, natural locales, biking, lakes, and an overall escape from the surrounding civilization. The trails are pretty well maintained compared to the average sidewalk in St Louis (which may not sound like a big component, but it is I swear!)

Was Quite and peaceful no gunshots enjoyed my visit just sit and watched the fountain and ducks and people walking their pets and people fishing very much enjoyed my visit.

I took a walk at the height of the Fall season and the colors were spectacular. The paved paths are well maintained. I have been there before for summer concerts & picnics & it is always nice.

My love and I used to sit and watch this fountain. I have a lot of great memories there and I sit here and watch because in the daytime when the sun reflects and you look at the fountain, you can see a rainbow all day. It's beautiful

Perfect place to go on a hot day and the lake makes the park cool. They also have a bird habitat were you can see birds like owls, Cardinals, blue Jays, and more. The trail was fun to walk on and have a great time with family.

The park is beautiful all year around however it's particularly stunning in the autumn. I really enjoy coming to this park for special events, picnics or just to walk.

Beautiful park, I've been quite a few times and still enjoy each time I visit. Nice and quiet, really well shaded to enjoy the summer weather.

Really nice park. Especially when they close it to traffic.
