Have never had a bad meal at Sammy's! Love eating here for lunch/dinner. The food is consistently great! They also have a wonderful area upstairs to host events/large parties

Great place to sit and watch sports. The chef salad was delicious. Substituted blackened shrimp for the ham or turkey. Added balsamic and ranch dressing.

We had a wonderful meal for a party of 8. 4 adults 4 kids . Our server was Alexis and she was amazing. Very friendly and attentive. We had a couple pitas, fish n chips, fried pickles , apps. The shrimp n grits were fantastic a little spice but perfect for me . We will definitely be back! The place was clean and kind of upscale sports bar feel. I was very impressed

Great food and good service, 2nd visit, ate in dining room area, had the ribeye, had to recook it to medium but was very good, garlic knots were also very good , met Jim the owner, before I had the blackened salmon and it was cooked perfect , salad was a great portion although I would have preferred it before the food , drinks and drink prices were good , hope to be back soon , thank you!

Stopped in to Sammy’s for lunch today. Our first time at the Dallas location. Food and service was very good. We had the pickle spear appetizer, my wife had the Southwestern Eggrolls and I had the Arroz Con Pollo. The chips were a little over-cooked, but still good. Nice experience for first visit.

That's probably the last place in the Charlotte area with drafts for $5 per pint. And $4 on Fridays!

Dallas has long DESERVED a dining and drinking spot like Sammy's and I am glad she finally got her reward.

I enjoy sharing the experience of a great meal with folks, and take extreme pleasure recommending Sammy's here in my hometown.

The space is well appointed and clean, the food is delicious, representing an excellent value, and the service is genuinely friendly and superbly skilled. Somehow the management team here (Kudos, Graham and Holly) has managed to secure a mix of seasoned hospitality professionals (Hi Jessica & Rebekah!) and eager young bucks/does (Yo Bryson & Rebecca) to perform Sammy's front of the house magic.

My earliest memories of Dallas' town square are of visiting Mary Jo's cloth store with my grandmother way back in the early 1970's. How well I remember the black smoke of the fire that took May Jo's away in the 80's. I saw the town struggle to find its footing for a couple of decades. It has taken a bit for dining tastes and local liquor laws to catch up with 21st Century Dallas . . but HERE WE ARE!

I dined here three times before rendering my opinion, and all 3 meals were great! The fish & chips would satisfy the fussiest Englishman and the grilled salmon was flakey and moist as it should be. While I enjoyed a flavorful duo of pork chops and fresh yellows squash, my poker buddy Johnny heartily endorsed his mixed trio of tacos. (It was Tuesday, of course!)

The iced tea is fresh-brewed and available sweet as Providence would have it poured, unsweetened for the Philistines among us, and diluted as necessary for the rest. (The java I am enjoying now with my strawberry compote-topped cheesecake is also freshly brewed.)

Upstairs is a separate dining room which might easily accommodate your own private functions, while out back, there's a non-smoking deck fitted with umbrella-sheltered tables for enjoying our mild Carolina seasons.

On my last trip here, a bustling Friday night in mid-October, this joint was hopping with a welcoming crowd of cops, couples, bankers, singles and families. All having a fine meal (again at a price point for VALUE) and ENJOYING the experience.

Sammy's is located on the town square, right across from the Old Dallas Courthouse. It seems to me a trial of sorts would be appropriate now.

Allow me to summarize the case for YOU to judge: for food, eclectic hometown crowd, welcoming atmosphere, and stellar service in Dallas, Sammy's is where it's at!

What more evidence do YOU need, folks?

My verdict?
10s across the board! (Even the East German judge!)

Thank you Colonel . . . err, I mean Jim Bailey, proprietor.

I enjoy this place, it's nice to have a good place to eat in Dallas. I do wish it was bigger and had more seating. This time I was just ordering some takeout, which you can do at the bar.

We went there for late lunch, and the food was great! Destiny was our server, and she was super sweet and attentive. We just moved to Dallas and will be back.

Depending on the day & server depends on the service. All are usually friendly. Some are slower than others. I frequent here for lunch during the week & sometimes the service is awesome & others, you have to wait 20 minutes to get your check. I started taking cash & just leaving enough to cover my order & tip. The food is awesome! I usually get the spaghetti or chicken tenders so I know how much I need to leave :)

Never disappointed. Everything I try is wonderful. The place is super clean and the food is fresh. I recommend the Dallas location. I don't care for the Belmont location.

Service and food was great! Even the bathrooms were very clean! We got the fish and chips and shared since it’s a big meal and I tried the champagne drink which was good just needed to be cold. All in all if you’re ever in Dallas, I recommend this place, it’s awesome!

I believe we met the owner at the door. He tried to drum up some playful banter, but I was unfortunately too tired and hungry to be witty in return. The establishment was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The food was decent and fairly priced given the current debacle of our economy.
My only gripe would be the sticky floors.
I would probably go back if I was in the area again.

First time here today. 4 different meals purchased and an appetizer. All were excellent. Onion rings were yummy and the sweet potato fries! Our waitress was very nice. We will definitely be back.

The food was excellent and the portions are generous. I'm kind of picky and usually can find something I don't really like but this was a visit worthy of 5 stars. The mixed drink had a generous pour as well. I think I'll make this my go to spot. And I met the owner briefly... he was a kind man full of great conversation. If you get the chance... you should definitely stop by.

Very nice clean restaurant and pub for the small town of Dallas NC. Great food, signiture sauce chicken wings are the best I've eaten in a long time. Fajita chicken wrap is out of this world. Homemade pimento cheese and pita bread is great too.
