Tandem

We went on Friday night w reservation but I think it wasn’t necessary bc it wasn’t crowded. The service was really nice and quick. We ordered The cheese board: I liked it but I hoped more, The beef ribs: great and good size, The roasted Salmon: was DELICIOUS!! Guy Allison glass and Fullsteam beer. Sadly we didn’t order dessert bc the size of the plates were huge! I really recommend it!

Had a great brunch at Tandem over the weekend sitting on the patio. We really enjoyed their BLT, fried chicken Benedict, and a Bloody Mary. We will return!

What a cuuuute place!! The service was incredible, super clean inside, and the food. OMGoodness the food! I had the French toast & “built it” myself. Fresh strawberries and dried apples were a wonderful combo.
My husband had the BLT w egg and raved about it! Heck, he even finished the whole thing! Did I mention the fries! 😋
We’ll be back!

My discovery of this restaurant in America turned out to be successful! very nice place and tasty, not overdried, well done meat! thanks to the attentive waiter. I will recommend it to friends.

3rd time here and though we never time it for their full menu, we always enjoy the food and drinks. The place is super cute, clean, and the staff is ALWAYS on point. The house dressing is delish! Everyone enjoyed the deviled eggs. Highly recommend if you haven't been yet!

I recently went to Tandem with a friend whom I hadn’t seen in many years. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Our waiter Brad was fantastic - friendly and engaging, attentive but not hovering. He gave us suggestions on food and drinks, and we enjoyed everything we had. There was great attention to detail - water glasses always full, food was hot, etc. This is in contrast to another popular local restaurant I went to recently where the food was similarly good but the service very subpar (even rude at times). In addition to the food, the service really makes the experience memorable. It was a great start to my friend’s first time in Carrboro. We will be back!

Enjoyed the lunch offering from Tandem with my wife. I had the burger and she had the linguine and we shared the deviled eggs. They were all excellent! Seasoning and level of oiliness was to our liking for both. I really liked how they garnished the deviled eggs with radish up top. Service was great as well. Our server checked in with us periodically. The restaurant is close to UNC and it's a must try for anyone visiting the area.

This place was great! I needed a last minute brunch spot for a friend's birthday. They not only were able to accommodate our party of 4 but also had outdoor seating! The outdoor area is quite large with plenty of shaded coverage. Our waitress was having quite the day but we're all entitled to have those moments. She handled each uncontrollable mishap with grace and never one seemed angry. Rather, she laughed and joked it all off. She was as pleasant as could be and managed to get us our food very quickly even in the face of unforeseen barriers. I think her name was Kim? Anyway, she was awesome! When the food arrived it was quite the sight! The kids plate was HUGE, heck, all of the portions were huge. The real star of the show was the brioche french toast though. It was a piece of artwork! I believe I referred to it as life changing! Overall the vibe, the food, the staff and the pricing was on point. Bravo to tandem! You earned your 5 stars!

Went there for Valentine’s Day. Place was fully packed, so reservations are a must.
Food was great, the dessert was the highlight. Staff was very kind and helpful.

My husband and I had a fabulous meal here with my in-laws on Saturday night. The patio seating is spaced out and well lit, with scattered planters of fragrant basil. The appetizers were all wonderful, particularly the beet and cucumber salad, which was tangy and creamy and wonderfully blended. They use fruit in many of the dishes to surprising and spectacular effect. The entrees are all enormous portions, in the best way. I had the chicken, my MIL the lamb, and my husband and FIL the 72 hour short ribs. Service was fantastic. Incredibly recommended.

Great atmosphere- inside and out under a canvas covered garden where herbs and flowers are planted around for a nice touch. The steak dinner for 2 has been our favorite in the past- still is. Meat melts off the bone, mashed potatoes and root veggies are so flavorful with the au jus.
Cocktails are lovely. You can’t go wrong with the beet salad or warm feta (any of the cheese plates for that matter). Try out there marscapone cheesecake that has tart strawberries and rhubarb (seasonal now). Service is always on point! We will continue to come back for dates or friend meetups.

Nice location on the Harris Teeter parking lot. Good vibes. Some twist with the menu. Love both Quality and presentation. Good service. I would recommend highly. Portion size is also generous. Fries was really good. I wish they have more coffee selections.

We've visited Tandem several times, and it's always an excellent experience. The staff is always pleasant, professional, and courteous and the fare is great. The crab deviled eggs are worth a trip alone. This last visit, Hannah made an excellent old-fashioned. Make it a point to visit here.

We tried their Easter special Moroccon Lamb shoulder. The meat was tender and juicy, and all the sides that came with it complemented it all really well. The chocolate fondant cake for dessert is a must-have and not to be missed. The service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great.

BRICE is the man!!! You must request him as your server. He went above and beyond in his service as our waiter. We have various dietary restrictions and he was more than happy to help accommodate us and answer our questions. We went back the following day (that’s how good the food is) and he was sadly not assigned to our table. NONETHELESS BRICE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND! He noticed our server did not give us the proper to-go bag and he went out of his way to come find us and help us out. 100/10 recommend this place with Brice as your server.

This place was AWESOME!!! The food was impeccable, the service incredible, and the place was so conducive to our gathering! We eye so relaxed, non-hurried, etc. The bathrooms were clean, etc. The staff was quite responsive when we reported needing toilet paper in one stall in ladies’ room.

We had a retirement party for me a few weeks ago. It was simply perfect! Food, service and ambience could not have been better! Thank you for making it such a wonderful experience.

Perfect service and deliciouse food during this storm! We were amazed that such a great restaurant was open tonight and serving the food! All the flavors were outstanding and creativity of the chef is very unique! We enjoyed every bite and it was a miracle that we didn't lick our plates... we had Carolina shrimp and grits - surf and turf with Angus ribs, OMG! Very original and so tasty, as well as the duck roll. Latte was so perfect I can't make it better at home! This place is really all about flavor, quality and detail, viva the Chef! We are planning to come back to try the lamb dish and leave some room for dessert! Totally pleasurable experience!
We travel alot internationally and finding outstanding places to go locally is becoming rather difficult so we are happy we found this gem tonight to add to our very special restaurants to go to when we are at home in NC.

I have had Tandem on my list for a while to visit.i knew they had a Valentine's menu which looked good, but I was eyeing the Lamb on the regular menu. The regular menu was limited and no lamb as they were primarily prepared for the Valentine's menu. Ok... I may have to go back. The other option, Salmon, was one of the options. Everything was SO good! For $60 we got 4 courses of deliciousness. The desert was like the inside of a truffle! Our service was exceptional and the decor very quaint. The outdoor area looks very nice... I love restaurants with outdoor areas. The experience was lovey!

Fabulous food! Was a very busy evening as there were several private parties. Unfortunately the sound in our space was compromised for toasting, but overall as a whole, the place was very good and the food was exceptional!
