Magone Italian Grill & Pizza

I'm going to tell you, it's a diamond in a rough My wife and I had massages next door to his place. Then we decided to have a bite to eat, and I'm glad we did we ate here It was the best. The chef the owner even came out and delivered the food himself It was fantastic!

I saw the other negative review on the 1 star lasagna situation and I’d like to chime in. First off, if you have ONE negative experience but MANY positive ones with a business, why slam them with such a negative review!? You know how bad that can hurt a business!?!! I had a construction business once and would get anxiety over dumb things like that. Wonder how many positive reviews “Mr Lasagna” wrote for Magones?

So, here is mine and it’s all about their delicious lasagna (was absolutely phenomenal) I had over the weekend. My girlfriend got the chicken parm and loved it. I also ordered a caesar salad which was top notch. Born and bred in NY, it’s almost impossible to find a good Italian restaurant in the south. These guys are a very close second, in my opinion. Definitely give them a shot and be objective when reading these negative reviews from the miserable souls out there with nothing better else to do but find company to join their misery.

All imma say is not too many Italian places where you can actually hear ppl speaking Italian. That’s how you know it’s real. The pizza reminds me of Joes in NYC but 10x better. I got a little side salad with the Italian dressing, which is home made and delicious, and it was tasty. We got a lasagna too and that was great as well. Anytime I’m in the area I’ll be sure to stop by.

I'm from Uniondale New York, I grew up with a place called Gino's pizza, it was a mom and pop pizzeria ran by an old Italian couple. Gino's pizza is the standard that I hold all other pizza to. So finding amazing pizza, that harkens back to the amazing cheese and tomato sauce that Ginos had is difficult.

This brings us to Magones. I got a large cheese pizza from them (been a customer for years but never got the pizza) and I'm not kidding, the cheese and tomato sauce was so reminiscent of Gino's pizza I almost got a tear in my eye. Amazingly good pizza. The only other pizza that comes close is Randy's and I find they don't use enough/good enough tomato sauce for their Pies.

I don't know about the low reviews but I'm telling you, as a new yorker pizza snob, this place is the real deal when it comes to classic thin crust pizza. Also has amazing Italian meatballs, something else that is hard to find good in the south.

Hands down best Italian style food I have ever experienced!!! Service was fast and polite. I 100% recommend the meat lovers pizza and the bakes ziti the pasta was cooked to absolute perfection!

Great place for pasta dishes with great pizza too. Fresh salads. Delicious food. Friendly service. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming appearance. Reasonably priced. Casual restaurant. Just a really solid spot.

Our server was really nice and did a great job. I usually go for the Pasta Carbonara when we eat Italian and it tasted great. My 6 year old daughter approved of it as well!

The pasta was cooked perfectly. My wives chicken Parm was amazing too. She compared it to Carmines in Time Square NYC. This will be our lunch spot from now on when we are in the area.

Unassuming strip mall appearance may have you missed this place if you are not local. Good reviews found on web/app led us to here. Quality ingredients, generous portion and delicious taste comes with every dish we ordered. Service was friendly and easy going. Very satisfied we used this place for a dinner.

Food is wonderful!! Very small mom and pop type of feel. Usually when I go in it’s not super busy so you get amazing service. Wish more people knew about it because they really are a great business!

I always get the baked ziti but their specials have been amazing too when I tried some of my boyfriend’s!

I can’t believe I’ve never visited this place before and always ordered pizza from somewhere else. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had in Chapel Hill. I’m looking forward to trying their other menu items. Definitely recommending this spot to all my friends.

This is a great place. They know how to cook pasta well. I also had a personal pizza that was good and could have fed two students. All the food was good. The server was very nice too. This is a nice addition to this area.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant! I love the calzones and strombolis and the antipasto is always so fresh and a really generous portion for the money! Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. Thank you Magone Italian grill I’m never dissatisfied or disappointed! I’ve been ordering from this place since 2018.

The service is absolutely wonderful every time I go. The Philly Cheese Steak is the best I have ever had.

We usually order out (which is great - pizza is solid). but dining in is even more fun - service is very kid friendly and accommodating.

This pizza is absolutely delicious, brought 1 box in the afternoon and the second box later in the evening. Reasonable price too. I’ll be returning again.

Great food here, everything we had was good. Clamari, Shrimp Parmesan (the special), and Gniocci with the Pink Vodka Sauce and zuccini. We also had good service.

Delicious Italian food and great service! The chicken parmigiana has large portions of chicken and you can choose your pasta. The bread was soft with an outer crust. The small house salad had homemade Italian dressing, red peppers, and cucumbers.

The service was respectfully and attentive.
