Antonio was awesome, nice guy. Excellent service! I got the fried ice cream and my brother got the Oreo one. They both tasted great! Will definitely come back here to try the other food! Good prices, tasty food. Comes with complementary chips and salsa.

I got the Margarita Chicken Rice Bowl, and left satisfied. If anything, I would have traded a bit of the chicken for more avocado/veggies. The size of the bowl makes the portion look a bit smaller than it is. The chips and salsa were also good (salsa has some heat) and I used some of the chips to dip in my bowl. Dining room was full of college students, some of whom were a bit loud, but that might have been the particular night (post finals).

Food was amazing and the waiter was very attentive! shout-out to antonio! The place also had deep fried ice cream which is a very rare sight nowadays, will be back!

This was our first visit to Bandido's Mexican Cafe and we loved everything about it. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was so charming and fun. We will definitely be back!

My favorite place in Chapel Hill, do not let the lower rating make you think this isn’t the BEST Mexican restaurant in Chapel Hill. I’ve been here more than 15 times in the years I was a student at UNC. The chicken enchiladas are so good. If you read the lower reviews it’s from years ago and it’s about the service and it being slow (I never had issues years back but I assure you the service is amazing). The margarita pitcher is nice, but get the chose 3 chose 2 sides of chicken enchiladas. It’s so much food for an excellent value. You will not finish it, so split with person. Excellent value basically 6 bucks a person for a lot of food. The salsa table is nice, they refill the chips. I WISH I could give this place a higher rating. Also, they have actual hot salsa, the habanero has a very nice kick to it and if they have an excellent selection of other salsas.

Bandido's is my favorite lunch place. The food is just plain tasty. The variety is remarkable; the portions large, and the prices right. The waitstaff is attentive. Folks who don't like spicy food have a wide choice of mild dishes. The salsa is special.

I've eaten at Bandido's nearly 100 times and their vegetables are always fresh. You really get a good deal financially for what you are eating. Plus, the atmosphere is tight. The wait staff is super friendly too. I love it there. The only negative thing I could say is there is no cell service down in the basement of a brick building, but hey, who needs their phone at a great meal anyways?!

Bandido's has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for years and I'm happy to support them during the tough times of 2020. I am extremely impressed with how they have adapted their services. You can order online or over the phone and pick up outside through a walk-up window. It's one of the safest models I've seen in Chapel Hill. As always, food is delicious and the service is great.

I really love this place!!! It is in a neat causeway off of Franklin. The atmosphere inside is very warm and cozy, and the art on the walls is very inviting. The service is excellent. I love all the choices of the different peppers you can get. The food is simply fantastic! I highly recommend it!!! Probably the best Mexican food in Chapel Hill!!!

Bandido's is my favorite go-to lunch spot. They have great lunch deals, and it's fast & friendly service. The salsa bar is awesome! Plus free refills on soda/tea AND chips to go along with every meal. I just wish it were also open on Sundays!

We go here every week for lunch. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. Their salsas are awesome! You definitely have to go here if you're in Chapel Hill. If you pay in cash at lunch, you get a free sweet tea.

Bandido's is our absolute favorite restaurant! Even though it's 30 minutes away from our home, it's always our family's 1st choice for celebrating any special occasion. The food is always delicious and the staff is so friendly & welcoming. We have made so many amazing memories at Bandido's over the years!!!

Staff were super friendly and helpful, really lively vibe. The food was super yummy! I did the pick your own combination with a strawberry margarita.

I was in Chapel Hill for business and decided to visit this kinda hidden spot right on Franklin. What a great experience. The wait staff was kind and attentive. He recommended a couple of dishes and showed me to the salsa bar. Free chips and salsa while you order.

The special beans were delicious. Actually all of the food was. I did a you pick two thing, got a tostada with avocado, a half carnitas quesadilla. Delicious. I had a couple of beers. The hot sauce, was hot. I was a little concerned that it would not pack much heat because it was in Chapel Hill, but let me tell you it was very spicy.

Overall great experience, I would definitely go back.

It was our first time coming here and it was a great experience! They were very kind and the food was delicious. It can be hard to find good authentic Mexican food these days but whenever in doubt, this is the place to go!

Bandido's in Chapel Hill is my most favorite Mexican restaurant!!! I love the salsa bar with so many flavors from mild to scorching hot! I go there every chance I get! The food comes out quickly so I never have to wait long.

I was an undergraduate student and now I am a graduate student at UNC Chapel hill. Bandido's has consistently been my favorite restaurant on Franklin St! They have great lunch deals and they are extremely fast. The dinner there is also great, not to mention cheap margaritas and beer!

Bandido's has got to be a favorite of mine. The food is wonderful, fast service and friendly staff. Everything I've eaten there is delicious. When i worked on Franklin St., it used to be a weekly spot for lunch. You won't be disappointed at Bandido's!
