Brandwein's Bagels

Brandwein went above and beyond my expectations to fulfill our Fleet Feet Race Team's order at the Tar Heel Ten Miler! We ordered a HUGE amount of bagels, and each one was labeled with the runners name, and the description of the bagel (and of course they were delicious!). They also delivered in a hot box to keep them warm while the runners ran different distances, not to mention having to deliver through the giant crowds of people! I love the great customer service they provided throughout the entire ordering process and the really positive experience all around! All of our runners loved their bagels! Thank you!!

Great bagels, great sandwiches, and excellent staff in an extremely clean and efficient location. I arrived at the store to find a clean and well lit environment. The staff was helpful and friendly.

As I waited for my food to be prepared, I stopped in the bathroom which was just as clean with amenities for women. The sandwiches I received, used quality bagels with the typical New York bagel slightly chewy but still soft texture. The two egg sandwiches had a generous portion of eggs with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The turkey sandwich I also purchased also used a generous portion of turkey meat, as well as the fresh lettuce and tomatoes.

The staff is a very key component to the business. They are helpful and provide an experience that is unique with small touches that show a level of appreciation for their customer and attention to detail.

Others mentioned prices being high, I found their sandwich prices very much in line with other chain locations for egg sandwiches. Not to mention the quality of ingredients is consistent here.

Great bagels, great sandwiches and an overall excellent customer and taste experience. I’ll be back.

What an amazing place! Their bagels are delicious, the salads are extremely fresh (I loved the strawberry, goat cheese and poppy seed seasoning) and the customer experience is the best in town! They really know how to make your day!
Employees love working there too, and the whole experience was just amazing. Can’t wait to try their banana bread 🍞 next time!

Great bagels and outstanding service! I’m the manager of a local community organization, and we have been using Brandwein’s Bagels as our go-to catering service for our social events. Their bagels are amazing, and their service always exceeds our expectations! Alex is a delight to work with, and his staff is enthusiastic, friendly and polite. By far, they are one of the finest local businesses that I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, and their dedication to giving back to the community is inspiring! I love this place! The egg and cheese with bacon on sesame is so delicious. I’m sure everything else is good but I haven’t brought myself to branch out!

The sweet tea served here is the best I've ever tasted. Nectar of the gods! Love, love, love. And the workers are always so kind.

I cannot speak highly enough about Brandwein's Bagels! Alex, the owner, is an absolute pleasure to work with, and their catering service is exceptional. They arrived on time, set up a beautiful spread that included a fruit platter and coffee, and the bagels were simply fantastic! The prices are reasonable considering the top-notch quality you receive, and supporting this wonderful local Chapel Hill business is an added bonus.

I hold very strong opinions about what makes a good bagel all informed by childhood experiences visiting my grandparents in River Edge, NJ. I make my own bagels because I have a large family and we all eat bagels pretty much every morning. I can say that having lived in Chapel Hill/Carrboro since 1993, I have NEVER had a more authentic and perfect NYC style bagel than what I had this morning at Brandwein's Bagels! These were big with a nice crispy crust and a chewy yet soft and warm interior and an extremely fresh aroma and flavor! The flavor instantly brought me back to some of the happiest moments of my childhood. It's simply amazing what Alex has done with his shop. Wow! These are the best bagels I've ever bought in Chapel Hill/Carrboro!

We walked in minutes before closing, worried about being a bother, but these are the nicest folks ever. I wish I’d taken a picture of the coffee cake but I ate it too fast. Then, after a mostly sleepless night with a sick kiddo, I woke up to my choice of bagel flavors. Since this was the only thing to look forward to on such a dark morning of the soul, I anxiously toasted it, fingers crossed, and it delivered. Now I’m trying to decide whether to eat a second one now or in an hour. Do future you a favor and get some bagels. I also noticed their frequent fundraisers while browsing their site this morning. So nice to see!

I went here for the first time today. It was amazing the service was great out food was ready in less then 10 minutes and it truly tasted like a new york bagel. Alex was great and such a nice guy so was the rest of the staff.The new blueberry muffins are a must try. I will definitely be going to this place again

Hard to beat an incredible assortment of delicious food with excellent service. Not only in-store, but they cater as well! Alex is the absolute best; he and his team will take care of you and knock it out of the park for your next event. I love this place! Great atmosphere, the bagels are good, and the coffee is strong (like super strong)! Not the cheapest option, but is anything nowadays? One of my favorite places to go on a weekend morning.

Brandwein’s Bagels in Chapel Hill delivered an authentic taste of New York with their chewy, perfectly textured bagels & they are generously coated in seeds. Reminiscent of the ones I'm used to, each bite is a nostalgic journey. A must-visit spot for anyone craving genuine New York-style bagels in North Carolina.

I stop here often. The service is top notch. Good coffee, good bagels. If a NY Everything bagel is what you love, they forgot the pretzel salt unfortunately. The Lox is great!

Just moved to North Carolina a few weeks ago and I've been here 3 times. Best bagels IN THE WORLD
better than New York bagels, which I didn't think was humanly possible but it's a fact.
If I didn't live so far away out in the country, I'd be going here daily. Yum yum.
My order: Breakfast sandwich and coffee and a dozen bagels to stick in my freezer.

Loving the new expansion. So appreciate the dedicated parking lot. Bagels are always delicious and the menu is varied enough to please everyone in our group. Staff is friendly and helpful.
