Eve's Caribbean Soul Food

From out of town, stopped by, and had to right this review after tasting a little of everything! Splendid! Oxtails Mac rice. The sweet cabbage is a lil diff but delicious! Great portion!

Everything was outstanding. The woman who worked there was so kind to us. The food was hot, served very quickly, and extremely delicious. I had the jerk chicken, collard greens (highly recommend), and probably the best potato salad I've ever eaten. Very reasonably priced. I would 100% come back.

Eve's is what I call local food and service you DO write home about. I'll say, back home, there's no establishments like her restaurant. Loved the place so much we couldn't stop talking and thinking about it after the first visit. We came back a 2nd time the same week before I had to fly back home. Tried about half the menu from the jerk chicken, curry goat, curry oxtail, and ribs. Don't forget about the sides! Collard greens, candied yams, plaintains, potato salad, chicken rice, corn bread. Ginger tea, lemonade. Pound cake. Peach cobbler. D E L I C I O U S. The portions were all just right for the price and the food is really packing with flavor. Favorites are definitely the jerk chicken, chicken rice, and plaintains, corn bread was the perfect type of sweet! To really top it off, we really adored Eve and her staff. Absolutely friendly and kind folks!!! If I could, I'd order her food to get shipped to me in my state. Thank you Eve and staff for such an incredible experience and we look forward to coming back again when I'm in town. If you're someone Googling this restaurant debating to come in, you should really give them a try!!!

The turkey was delicious! Cooked just right! Mac and cheese And the yams Delicious!! My girl Is ordered the curry goat. I have never tried goat. It also was great! I will definitely be going back!

Walked in and knew it was a good decision. the smell was fabulous. 2 lovely ladies from Washington state were finishing their meal, asked if we'd been here before and said it was absolutely amazing!! And it was... OUTSTANDING! Owner was cheerful. The whole experience is 5 stars.

This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that's easy to miss, because it doesn't look like much, but you're so happy when you discover it. Food is excellent - we had the goat curry and the jerk chicken, and both were great. Give it a try - you'll be glad you did!

Go out of your way to get here! Right on 17 and every bite was spectacular and amazing well balanced flavors. Only thing better was Eve and her team.

I am a vegetarian and wasn't sure if the restaurant would have food for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had many of the sides, which I recommend purchasing, while my girlfriend had the jerk chicken. It's hard to recommend a single dish because all of it was amazing. For a little over $20 we both were very full and satisfied. The value was excellent, and the service was great as well. We were just traveling through town, but if I ever come by again I'll be sure to eat here.

Caribbean/West Indian meets Gullah Geechee dining experience! It's one of Georgetown, SC hidden gems. The food is well-seasoned and flavorful. If you dine in or carry out make sure to peek at the wall art.

Best of both worlds! This magnificent blend of Caribbean and Soul food will not leave you disappointed. Very welcoming and great customer service. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town!

Small local place with great food. The portion is adequate. The people are super nice. I'd honestly go back for the ginger tea only. Must try.

If you are in Georgetown, do not miss this place! Absolutely delicious food. Have never had anything bad but the oxtails and escovitch fish are amazing. Friendly service. No frills but comfortable atmosphere. We love this place.

A cute tiny artistic town adventure. We spent some time picking a place to eat. Out of all options choose eve's. Honesty hands down the best food between little river to georgetown from everything we tried!! We also like little local restaurants and not major chains! Highly recommend eve was wonderful,soulful, and everything was cooked perfectly. Honestly I got the jerk chicken which was amazing but as a couple we always decide to get different items and side. My husband got the Escovitch Fish and honestly as much as I want to try the oxtail next time or goat, It will probably be the Escovitch Fish hands down the best fish I have ever had in my life!! Eve cooks it's fresh. She told us grab a table, relax and I will be out in 10 minutes. We were the only customer there right when she opened. Perfect lemonade also! I should say the sides were great so was the rice . So much food I was stuffed! However the real Challenge the meats the jerk chicken so tender and flavorful but that fish man.. ..I really can not express how perfect it was after a nice downtown walk in georgetown then a walk to eve's it's really not that far and a lot to see on the way!

A hole in the wall treasure and the food is the real deal. Eve is cooking and serving it all for you too and was super kind. I had the jerk chicken, rice and beans, and yams which were all delicious. Her homemade hot sauce was tasty and SPICY!

Love eating here when I visit. Eve is cordial and her food is great. I have brought multiple people from the mill there and they have all enjoyed it.

Home cooking that makes you feel at home in a culture that you didnt grow in. Delicious oxtail and jerk chicken. The rice is fabulous and the plantains are the perfect sweet compliment. The collard greens are slightly sweeter then I prefer, but cooked PERFECTLY.

Eve's is a simple down home taste of amazing Carribean food. They have curry chicken, jerk chicken, ribs, and several other offerings, served with rice or plantains, and other vegetables... I find all their offerings delicious, though I'm now very partial the their curry goat. This is not a fine dining establishment, but a place that gives you a feel of coming to, if not your own grandma's house for dinner, then someone's Grandma who is equally inviting. I would recommend Eve's to anyone looking for an amazing plate meal that leaves you 100% satisfied.

Just enjoyed Sunday dinner at Eves. Hubby had curry goat and I had the curry chicken. We will absolutely be back. Thanks Eve!
