We were looking for someone to convert our screen porch into a sunroom. After several companies declining the project, or telling me they couldn’t give me all the windows I wanted, OR giving me an OUTRAGEOUS quote we finally found the company for the job!

Mark at Charleston Remodeling turned our back porch into our dream room! He lives in the hood. Quiet man, as first time remodelers we might would have liked a little more communication 😊 BUT he clearly listens as he did everything we hoped for! All his sub-contractors were amazing! Highly recommend if you’re looking to get a project like this done.

Best GC ever! Mark and his team gave us a beautiful new master bedroom and master bath! During that renovation we decided we need our back deck replaced and he easily and quickly fit that in as well. We're so happy and thankful we picked Charleston remodeling!

We have a 17 yr old custom built house; the years of weather had rotted the deck and three sets of stairs. The professionals at Charleston Remodeling did a phenomenal job of rebuilding and repairing the deck and stairs. They are better now than when the house was new. The quality of the work and expertise of the crew is unmatched in my experience. They were on time, worked non-stop, were personable and professional. An extremely efficient crew! Charleston Remodeling did a perfect job on a bathroom shower (from the studs) and a large family room bay window (fairly complex with pushing the wall out and getting the support and aesthetics we wanted). Every worker that came in to our home was clean, respectful, professional and competent. As the contractor, Mark kept in touch with us and kept everyone informed of the schedule as well as checking each portion of the work to ensure the completion to very high standards. We would highly recommend them for any type of home remodeling.

This is the second project we have hired Mark and Charleston Remodeling for. The first project was to renovate two outdated bathrooms and add two additional bathrooms to our Folly beach house. They did such a great job we hired them again for our newest project which was to add a game room and deck with pool and jacuzzi to our first floor which is 14 feet off the ground. Mark is always very professional, stays calm under pressure and delivers a high-quality product, paying attention to detail. They are also creative problem solvers, such as when they needed to figure out how to get a 900lb jacuzzi onto the 14 foot-high deck. They can be counted on to get the job done when there is a deadline and set realistic expectations – our house needed to go back into the rental market for the summer rental season and they made it work. They showed up on time each day, kept the job clean upon leaving each day, and did the most fabulous job of making our old 1930s house into a lovely and updated new home without taking away its character. Based on a friend's recommendation who worked with Charleston Remodeling on kitchen and bath renovation, I contacted Mark to request repair of extensive roof damage and to replace the roof. In addition to roof repair, Mark’s team renovated living areas including replacing wood floors. Throughout the renovation, Mark kept me informed of the process as well as being easily accessible for questions. We had structural and foundation problems along with wanting to remodel and enlarge our bathroom. Everything turned out beautifully. We are lucky to have found him. If i could i would show pictures it is gorgeous!!

Mark Welborn & his crew did a repair on my house replacing rotten wood, porch column, latch hardware on fence gates & exterior painting. I cannot say enough kind words to express what a “seamless experience” it was to have him do this job. Charleston Remodeling just finished our latest project, a master bath remodel. It was another excellent project by them that included floor repair under the toilet and installing a custom tile shower with sliding glass doors, wall tile, floor tile, custom built cabinets with quartz cabinet tops, all new plumbing fixtures, wood framed mirrors, and wall painting. As a side we decided to replace the poly plumbing under the house since we were replumbing the baths. Their own people are experienced and did the demolition and finish fixtures with the utmost care. Floors were first covered with heavy 36" wide cardboard and the attached bedroom was blocked off with plastic to minimize dust. They only had a small trailer in the driveway for a day or two for debris. Their subs are all very experienced. Plumber, painter, tile installer, and electrician all had 30 - 40 years experience. And we always knew when subs were coming. We have been using Charleston Remodeling since 1989 for jobs beyond our capacity including replacing front porch posts and rails, converting screen porch to sunroom, installing sand and moisture barrier under house, replacing roof shingles and wood house trim (with pvc), repairing chimney and brick, installing hardwood floors and even installing a sidewalk from our garage door around back to our patio. I particularly like being able to discuss ideas and options with Mark to get the best project possible.

My husband and I built our home in 1994 and after 27 years it was time for upgrades. We wanted to remodel our Master Bathroom and refinish our hardwood floors (original red oak and did not want to remove them). We knew we had an issue by our bar area but did not know that it would be that bad. Pictures are attached. We will post pictures of our bathroom when completed. The floors are amazing and they saved our bar area! Very dependable, on time, top quality work. Outstanding communication with crew. Mark was there first thing every morning and if he needed to leave he would check back at the end of the day. Highly recommend.

Best GC! Communication is key with renovations and Mark is excellent with his response time and keeping you informed/updated throughout the entire process. His team shows up when they say they will show up and he is always coming on site to check in on the work/progress. Nothing is left unfinished. We kept adding things to our project and he was very accommodating. Also, not everyone can afford to renovate an entire house at once so the fact that he is willing to take on smaller jobs is nice. Highly recommend and will be requesting his services for more projects.
