Dr. Angerstein is a great doctor! Very knowledgeable, caring, and kind.

I have followed Dr. Angerstein through moves to 3 different offices, but unfortunately I am now going to have to change doctors. I’m going on 4 days now without medicine and this isn’t the first time this has happened. The office told me I could do telehealth and then called with just over an hour’s notice to let me know that I can’t, but I’m a single mom with no childcare. (They also called less than an hour before closing on Friday to let me know I couldn’t get my medicine and I couldn’t have an appointment until the following week.) The office also said it would get back to me to try to fix the situation, but it’s been 24 hrs and they never did. It’s unacceptable to leave people without medication, and I can no longer continue to see a doctor who would leave people in this situation. I’m really disappointed because, as I mentioned, I’ve been seeing her and her assistant for nearly 20 years.

Edit to add: Dr. Angerstein charges more than $100 a year in order for her to refill prescriptions (with an additional charge if you want them done electronically) and also requires an office visit (with a fee) once every 3 months. I’ve had this same prescription since childhood and she is the only doctor who has ever had this requirement.

This doctor attributed my very real health concerns to me having a mental illness, which is extremely harmful to those who do and those who do not have a mental illness diagnoses.
I have submitted a complaint against her and her office manager to the Texas Medical Board- I was not the first who has, and definitely won't be the last.
