Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab

Excellent food and exceptional service made for a wonderful anniversary dinner. The New England sea scallops with truffle mushroom risotto were our favorite dish, but everything was great across three courses. Expansive wine list, with many choices both by the bottle and the glass. Our server, Dean, and the rest of the staff provided outstanding service; it is perhaps the best we’ve had in Austin and what really distinguishes Truluck’s. We will absolutely be returning.

The food here is incredible. The drinks are too. It's all worth the price. The ambiance, our server.. all excellent. The shrimp cocktail comes out smoking.. so cool to see. I loved it!

The atmosphere is perfect, and when the young woman is playing piano, it makes it even better. Oysters were so delicious and the green side sauce that comes with them...OMG i could literally drink that stuff 😆. The bread is super soft, buttery, and just simply melts in your mouth. The twist they made with the calamari makes them have the perfect crunch, and the peppers and greens they add are made perfectly. This was also just a quick, happy hour bite. The 2 young ladies at the bar we're beyond excellent with service and recommendations. We will certainly be back!

It is quite pricey but definitely worth it! The food tastes amazing, and all the seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. From the jumbo lobster tail to the raw oysters and seabass, even the steak was filled with yummy flavors!

I also love that their staff are super attentive without being intrusive and the music! 😍 They have someone playing the piano and singing and it was just beautiful! The ambiance of this restaurant is beyond superior!

This meal was so elegant and delicious. The service was amazing. We went for my coworkers 18 years. We are both foodies, and if you love seafood, this is a place you should add to your list. The stone crab was to die for. And the calamari was a huge platter. At the end, they brought out baked Alaskan, which is for all their celebratory dinners with them. I had never had Baked Alaskan, and it did not disappoint. Thank you again, Trulucks. we had an amazing experience.

Always a wonderful experience. The steaks are tender and very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Staff very friendly, waitress very attentive. We had steak, potatoes and asparagus for the table and carrot cake and crème brûlée for dessert. We’ve been dining here for 17 years, in fact is was a regular spot for my husband and I when dating. We will be back for our 18th anniversary later this year!

We came here for my birthday & the food & drinks were AMAZING! Exceptional customer service from the staff & our server Olena was spectacular. I can’t wait to come back!

My first time here was on a date for Valentines. I guess love was in the air because I fell in love with Trulucks! Since then, we've gone often, and the service is always great, and the food is immaculate! Everything we've had has been excellent, but I highly recommend the crab cake & the carrot cake for dessert,both are to die for!

We recently dined here to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was ideal, and our waiter (Wayne) was charming and engaging. It's certainly a fantastic choice for a special occasion. I highly recommend trying the Blue Crab Stuffed Lobster Tails; you won't be let down.

I celebrated me on 4.20.2024 which was my 55th birthday. The service was great and the food was good but the baked Alaska was everything for me.

My wife and I recently had dinner at Truluck and had an amazing experience! The restaurant has sophisticated, upscale vibe.  The wait staff were knowledgeable and attentive. We arrived 30! minutes half before our reservation to enjoymampre.donner cocktail in the bar area and were pleasantly surprised to encounter that a happy hour! We enjoyed oysters and shrimp cocktail, accompanied by a couple of classic cocktails. The oysters (east coast) were so fresh and tasty that we ordered two dozen! The presentation for the shrimp was totally unexpected! They arrived on a bed of dry ice that xreating the effect of a rolling fog surrounding the shrimp.

For dinner we ordered stone crabs (absolutely amazing) lobster tail, king crab legs, and sea bass dishes. The were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! It was an amazing dinner for a special celebration! We enjoyed our entire experience. Highly recommended!!

The ambiance and mood lighting were great. Our server was attentive. The food was phenomenal, and those light up menus were definitely helpful.

We love going here for special occasions. They have the freshest seafood and most delicious fish dishes anywhere. Live music, even on weekdays, set a fantastic ambiance. Obviously, it's a little pricey, but the wait staff treats you like royalty.

Fine dining meets neighborhood atmosphere. The hosts, server Fabian and Manager Fernando wished us a happy anniversary with warm smiles as soon as we entered and sat down. Fabian was knowledgeable about each dish and had excellent recommendations. For a seafood and steak establishment they handled my dietary needs with such care. Not once was I made to feel like a burden. The stone crab was juicy and we'll priced and the plant based Balognese was heavenly.

The service was excellent. Our server was delightful! He suggested his favorite food and drink pairings. My favorite bite was the chocolate cherry cheesecake. It was a generous serving that satisfied my sweet tooth. The live entertainment was a welcome surprise. The pianist provided a fresh approach to classic songs. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Absolutely wonderful food and experience! We made a reservation beforehand and we're seated immediately. Our waiter (Wayne) was knowledgeable about the whole menu and was very attentive. We ordered the crab cake for an appetizer (delicious), the Miso glazed sea bass and Maine lobster tail for main course (incredibly delicious) and had the crab fried rice and grilled broccoli for the table. All of it was beautifully plated and tasted amazing. We rounded it out with 2 deserts, the blueberry vanilla cake and carrot cake. Well worth the price and will be returning!!

We celebrated a birthday at Truluck’s and had a fantastic dining experience. The staff really makes you feel special. The crab cake, wedge salad, jalapeño salmon and sea bass with lobster were delicious. Ended with crème brûlée!

So it was my sons birthday recently and as he and his girlfriend were going out to Trulucks arboretum location I was able to call the restaurant, order a glass of wine for them AND pay for the bill w/o them expecting it. The staff was super helpful and willing to make their night extra special. I highly recommend & will be beach again and again!

We ordered a little bit of everything off of the menu and it was absolutely spectacular! The steaks, the crab, the tuna, the oysters! One of each side as well and they were all perfect perfect perfect! Also, I am pregnant and they were so accommodating by making delicious mock tails for me to enjoy! Ryan was an amazing waiter; All of the staff were so kind and professional, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean and well kept. The music was tasteful and the ambiance was great. The food was truly to die for. What an awesome over all experience. I will absolutely be returning to Truluck’s, thank you for having us.

Believe the hype! High end experience that delivers. The sea bass on a bed of crab fried rice is so tasty, and the scallops are also terrific.

Above all is the level of service. This is five diamond, Kohler level service and those sometimes small, extra touches speak volumes. A perfect place for an anniversary celebration. Wonderful!
