Academy Sports + Outdoors

I love Academy! The sales are great and the staff is always helpful. I can usually find what I need and get out easily.

My husband is a big fan of all of the fishing gear there as well!

Occasionally there is a long line or 2 but they will add cashiers up front and speed things along to get everyone checked out quicker.

Our favorite, go-to sporting goods store! Always a great selection! From sports, to recreations, to clothing, etc. we can always find what we need here. A reason that we enjoy this location is because the employees are friendly and the inventory stays well-stocked. Tonight, we came to Academy to get my son ready for baseball season- it was a very busy day! However, Alyssa was happy and helpful with sizing my son's shoes and helped us find the right pair of cleats that were perfect for him. The employee at the cash register was very friendly, personable and even entertained my son with a few magic tricks. Super cool, super friendly, always coming back!

Great selection and prices are always good compared to other sporting goods stores. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Bonus points for happening in during a massive clearance!

Well stocked store with a variety of options and prices to choose from. Associates are courteous and willing to answer questions one thing that I noticed at busy times is that 2 were posted at each dressing rooms retrieving merchandise and keeping track of which rooms were empty to expediently direct customers waiting to use them. Overall a very good experience

I got an unexpected surprise when I was purchasing 2 new pairs of shoes. The shoes I wanted were on clearance so they were going to be $35 of which was a good deal then I get to the register and they rang up 50%off the clearance price. So I got 2 for the price of 1.

Maurice searched the stockroom for the right size which was super helpful! Sierra price matched Amazon and have me the military discount which saved me $17. This is the type of customer service that sets Academy Sports above its competitors. I highly encourage military and 1st Responders to shop during the month of May while Academy Sports is offering a 10% discount.

Found everything I needed, staff was helpful and friendly. I was tempted to buy more but I did good with my 1 item 🙌🏾🤣

Pretty cool, quick experience. I went to buy an entertoob to float the river. Everyone was helpful and kind. I'm glad this location is so close to my house in case I need more supplies.

Academy is always my first choice for sports shoes. And they usually have good service. Today, one of the guys at the counter was extra,,,lol. He was trying to get people to register for the Academy credit card. There was nothing wrong with that, but the way he was doing it was ridiculous. He was talking way too fast, and no one couldn't understand a word he was saying. People behind me were going to other registers because they didn't want to deal with him. I know the company pushes them to sell sell sell, but come on,,,he was enjoying it. I didn't understand anything all the time, and I know for sure if I see him next visit, I'll move to the other registers for sure. Other than that, everything else at Academy is worthy.

Always love going to Academy in Round Rock Texas. I used to work at that location before we moved to Omaha Nebraska five years ago, Great people like Ellie and Wendy and Great products. I love to hunt and fish and just be outdoors. Academy got my money this time and more next time, Love Ya'll!!!!!

Been coming here for years but today I had a very good encounter and decided to leave a review. Short story is I had a quality issue with a carhartt shirt to exchange with no receipt no tags from a purchase I made in Georgetown but with a little patience on my end and some research on their end the cashier and apparel employee assisting were able to verify my purchase and process my exchange and I walked out feeling like was handled with real above and beyond service.
