While my elderly father was convalescing here and having therapy after surgery, he was being seen daily by Dr. Cynthia Pinson. We never saw her even though we requested to talk with her every day we were there. The staff left her messages that we needed to speak with her multiple times and were told to be there at 5:30am when she made her rounds. We were there multiple times at various times we were told we could see her and she never saw us. My father became so dehydrated, he had to be transported to St. Mary's emergency room where the emergency physician was shocked at the condition my father was in (severely dehydrated). We were very concerned about this every day we were at the nursing home, but were told he did not need to have IV hydration. I do not know why we did not sue this facility and Dr. Pinson, except for the fact that we were in such distress after my father died at home 2 weeks later. I can't help but think that much of this was due to this horrible, and I mean absolutely horrible place he was sent to (Dr. Pinson at Heritage Center a Genesis Healthcare facility in Huntington WV). My mother would have won the case I am sure of it, due to the horrendous care they gave my father. I am upset that I did not take this further with the authorities and before a judge.

Heritage Nursing home (Genesis) is where Dr. Cynthia Zhao Pinson works as the Medical Director. This facility is barely more than a homeless shelter when it comes to the conditions and patient care at this place. I am absolutely mortified at the lack of finding ANY STAFF on an entire floor for.almost an hour. A female patient sliding up and down the halls on her bottom while screaming and not a soul comes to look. My family member was sitting in urine soaked bedding that was at least 24 hours or more old due to the strong scent. Trash all over the floor. Crusted dried food in the floor. Clothes were covered in everything you could imagine. No bath in more than 24 hours. This has been getting progressively worse under her watch at this facility. This is a display of disgusting that words cannot properly illustrate. When a family member must go to a facility like this, remember who is in charge when the conditions are horrific. That is the person responsible and the Medical Director is where the buck stops for patient care. And a buck is more than its worth. And you'd think that receiving over $8000 pee month for a patient they could at least clean them up daily and keep conditions sanitary in the rooms. Better beware of any person under her care. It's mortifying.

They were horrible. They treated my mom and dad like they were a piece of trash. Dad had strokes and passed away in January 2018. I immediately got mom another dr. I was there one day during an appointment and Crystal was so rude to my dad I wanted to knock her head off. Dad would not change doctors because he was immobile from the strokes and they came to his house. Poor excuse for drs and nurse practitioners in my opinion.

They take their phone off the hook all afternoon and the assisted living place where my mother is can’t get ahold of anyone at all. This is so wrong on many levels. Happened last week and again today March 11 2021😡 and my mother was diagnosed with Shingles by the health department yesterday on March 10 😡
So hospice contacted Pinson to sign off and get her medical records but no records were sent to hospice. Sounds like they need to hire extra help or retire.

The staff there have been completely ignoring my mom’s needs and care. She is home bound. They are a joke. TheNP comes around every three months and takes her BP and they call this home nurse care and bill Medicare.

This agency has been a joke. The Dr. rarely if ever comes to see my Mom. Who she does send are in out so fast not sure if they were there. If you ask to speak with the doctor that's not going to happen. It's shameful the service that is given. They're representation of the medical field is terrible.

Absolutely horrible. They prey on the elderly. How is a 5 minuet appointment where issues are brought up considered good service. We will be finding another practitioner. Run from them at all costs.
