We come here fairly often. Great stop after a bike ride on the nearby trails. Nice outside patios in good weather. Good food and drinks.

Driving through this adorable town and picked a place fora bite with great reviews. It didn’t disappoint. Hubs had a club and fries, loved it. I had mini grilled cheese and soup. It’s an appetizer but was perfect for a rainy day. Super yummy. The atmosphere is pretty cool and we absolutely enjoy being in a place where folks know one another. You really get a sense of a community by sitting in its popular eateries and coffee shops. It’s the same all around the world. Watching people smile when they spy a familiar face, walk to a table with outstretched hand, laughter and greetings. Glen Carbon seems like a really nice community. Being city dwellers that come from small town America, we just felt at home. We would absolutely recommend the Wooden Nickel to anyone passing thru or by. Good food, friendly server, dog friendly patio, accessible with a fun atmosphere.

The food is always really good and the waitresses are always polite and friendly. The Taco Tuesday special is a local favorite. 👍They also have an ATM machine, a TouchTunes jukebox, several large TVs to watch sports games on, and video gambling machines. Also, during colder weather they enclose the front patio to have more heated seating for customers.

great food and great staff! buffalo chicken sammy (usually a wrap, asked for sammy) and fries were so good!

This was our first visit in quite a while and everything was excellent. I'd recommend the pretzel sticks for an appetizer. The Frisco Melt was tasty. Their fries and chips were also quite good.

Would order from here again in a heart beat! Not only was our food amazing (Cuban, Burger, kids Grilled cheese) but the price was unbeatable. Some of the best fries I've had in a long time!
We also got an order of the pretzel bites and I could have eaten all of them myself!

Such a great place. The service was awesome, helped that the servers were all smok'n hot. The food was so good and our Moscow Mules hit the spot!

It was taco Tuesday and we've never been here before. Food and service were great. We had to sit outside because it was so busy. One end of the outdoor seating has a fan mounted above. The other end does not. Guess where we had to sit. Did not enjoy having no air movement. Looks like an easy fix to me.

Did not know what to expect but was thoroughly delighted. Great menu with so many delightful choices it was hard to pick which one I would enjoy the most. We decided to eat on the patio at one of the cute tables with their own umbellas. Light breeze enhanced the experience along with the personable waitress. I would definitely return there should I find myself in that area again and recommended it to 6 people that day alone

This is a pub local eatery vibe. We come here almost every Tuesday for tacos. Their hard shells are fried flour tortillas and they are so good. The rest of the menu is what you'd expect from a bar. All food I've tried is good but I recommend tacos on Tuesday!

The food was amazing and the staff was very nice and friendly.

Fantastic fish nuggets on a Friday night. Place gets packed inside but there's outdoor eating and drinking in the enclosed area.

Good service and food 👌, little more a bar atmosphere , which is fine, does outdoor seating. Would recommend to try for sure.

I was supposed to be doing chores when I found this place LOL definitely will be back we had a blast all the waitresses or spunky and fast. Food was pretty doggone good and the bill wasn't too far off. Loved seeing all the dogs too! My only complaint is the Frisco needed bacon and a tomato lol!

This place is great! The atmosphere and feel are outstanding. You can go with your family or your friends. They have something for everyone. Best fried pickles out of anywhere and I have eaten A LOT fried pickles.

Have yet to have a bad meal here, and the beer is always cold. Recommend the Asian wrap, the chicken wings and smoked BLT
